Updating Rotten Tomatoes

[edit]

Thank you for your help updating the Rotten Tomatoes scores! If I could make one small suggestion, it would help if you also update the "access date" in the citation to the date that you checked the website (in other words: today's date). This way it's easy for readers to keep track of how recently the score was checked and updated. Thanks again, and feel free to leave me a message if you have any other questions. --Secundus Zephyrus (talk) 00:29, 18 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Piggy backing on that comment, this edit says Grease 2 currently has a 36% on Rotten Tomatoes. At any point in the future -- years or mere seconds after your edit -- the score could change and the article would be saying something which is inarguably false. Heck, before your edit it wrongly stated the score was, at that moment, 37%. An "as of date" fixes that, telling the reader this is what the score was at one point and how old that info is.
If a reader looked deeper into your version, it told that that the score reported was from April 27, 2018, which it certainly was not. Correcting the "accessed" date fixes that.
This correction tells the reader the movie had a score of 36% in October of 2020. If they dig a bit further, it gives the exact day. Two seconds or two years from now, that information will still be true. - SummerPhDv2.0 21:10, 15 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You are still updating Rotten Tomatoes scores (good) without updating the access date (bad) [1][2]. Please update the access date whenever you update the associated information. Thank you. Grandpallama (talk) 01:18, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Trivialist. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Trivialist (talk) 02:55, 18 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited A Stranger Is Watching (film), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages William Hickey and Stephen Joyce. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:20, 26 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Film budget

[edit]

I notice you recently edited the article The General's Daughter and changed the budget figure.[3]

Please note the documentation Template:Infobox film budget which states: "If there are conflicting estimates, do not cherry-pick; list each estimate either as an individual value or as a number range."

Please keep multiple figures. Do not remove budget figures without a clear explanation, or prior discussion on the article talk page. Please also note WP:PROSE and try to expand the article text if there are details about the budget (cost overruns, tax rebates, etc) that should be explained to readers. -- 109.77.199.80 (talk) 18:16, 26 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please follow the WP:SIMPLE rules and explain your changes with an edit summary, especially when deleting references.[4] -- 109.77.199.80 (talk) 21:37, 26 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Rotten Tomatoes

[edit]

Appreciate your edits like these, but please be sure to update the average rating as well. Also in that edit, the total number of reviews was 59 not 50, and the percentage was 75% not 76%. Thanks. --GoneIn60 (talk) 20:31, 29 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, List of Later with Bob Costas episodes (season 1), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 20:49, 17 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Box office for Music from Another Room

[edit]

Hi, I’m @Spectrallights. I’m leaving this message in regards to your update at Music from Another Room. You restored the reference and figure for its box office take. However, the references in the article say that the film skipped a theatrical release and went straight to video. Box Office Mojo is generally considered a reliable source, and so is The Numbers, which lists the the total as $5,000. That differs from the Mojo listing of $118,475. Since these are different figures and there is no confirmed theatrical release, I think it’s best to leave the box office info blank. Spectrallights (talk) 03:21, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Llogan79425. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "List of Later with Bob Costas episodes".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 01:26, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
