Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~)
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put
{{My sandbox}}
on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.Sincerely, Crtew (talk) 01:34, 26 August 2012 (UTC) (Leave me a message)
Editing your user page
[edit]Ljbriner, I get the impression that you thought you had edited your user page, but I'm not seeing anything. Maybe you need to edit it and click on "Save page" below the editing box. The template on this talk page above has a link for "How to edit a page." Maybe that will help!!! Welcome to Wikipedia and have fun! Crtew (talk) 01:37, 26 August 2012 (UTC)

The "old" sandbox problem
[edit]Ljbriner, I'm glad you asked a Wikipedian online for help. You're resourceful! I know you had some problems but on the bright side, you did learn about Wikipedia. Your bio is awesome and you used links! Good work, Crtew (talk) 21:47, 28 August 2012 (UTC)

Assignment
[edit]Although I have listed your assignment (see your user page), there may be a problem because human rights organizations like Article 19 are calling into question whether they were journalists. Knight Center blog Crtew (talk) 04:45, 4 September 2012 (UTC)

- It's great that you're working ahead on your article! However, you are not close to ready for submission. The article lacks a notability statement and any improvement on the infobox, which was your assignment this week. Significant portions of the article are missing. The text is at a notes stage and needs clean up and inline citations. The article has bare links, which is unacceptable. The map needs more work. No categories have been suggested. I moved your article to User:Ljbriner/2012 Michoacán murder of photographers. You should submit later when you have improved the entire article and brought it up to a satisfactory level. We'll be doing this in class to make it clearer what is expected. To make it easier, I will tell you when to submit. Thanks, Crtew (talk) 03:57, 17 September 2012 (UTC)
Notability and infobox

Jatapley Peer Review
[edit]I really like how you have made sure to fill in each section. It gives it a full effect. For the most part, good content. I would suggest solidifying facts, such as year of birth (I saw there was a question mark by it). Also, I would look at all of the red links because they don't have pages attached to them. Besides that, I think you're off to a great start. Keep going! Jatapley (talk) 00:54, 25 October 2012 (UTC)
