Identity of images
Hi, the file name of an image in Commons can be misleading, as with File:Cyclosternum fasciatum, adult female.JPG. If you look at the category into which this image is placed, you'll see that it's "Davus fasciatus", which the World Spider Catalog indeed confirms is now the accepted scientific name. I've learnt by experience that the categories in Commons are often more accurate than the file names. Also, if you check the list of species in the article Cyclosternum you'll see that Cyclosternum fasciatum is not there, which should raise a warning flag. Important advice
However, when you translate an article from another language, you must indicate this in the edit summary and the talk page, preferably giving the link to the exact version of the page.. You also need to copy over the references and publications. Converting the CITE templates can be tricky, but you can at least copypaste the rendered text from the page, rather than give the impression that the article is unreferenced. For the article above, I also added the list of publications and added links Please remember to copy over things like this.
Whether it will probably pass AfD is the criterion for acceptance . The article as you submitted it would not have been accepted, because I don't think it likely that it would pass AfD,. With what I added, I think it might, though I'm still not certain. We really ned reviews of his books, and that's something very difficult to do without knowing thelanguage and being in the country. DGG ( talk ) 17:43, 25 December 2020 (UTC)- I accepted this after adding what references there were, and the key links to other articles. I am quite doubtful it would have been likely to pass AfD otherwise. I've done this work for you twice now; please do it yourself in the future. DGG ( talk ) 19:09, 25 December 2020 (UTC)
