Wow, you put a lot of work into this! Consider evolution and adaptation of this species? Big.macncheese (talk) 03:51, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Draft Review

[edit]

This is a really good article draft, I would consider adding links to several things in your introduction (Yunnan, forest types, etc..) They could all have links to those subjects wikipedia pages if they exist. I would add in what altitude specifically they are evolved to live in, as well as link to the wikipedia page for Hypoxia. Images of adult/baby black snub nosed monkeys may also help the anatomy section of the article. I don't see any major grammar or spelling errors either, it is well written, I would just look for a little bit more information to add into each section --Mp4lyfe (talk) 03:45, 29 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Draft feedback

[edit]

Hi, Lily!

You've made some really good additions to this so far! The "Diet" section in particular gives helpful new information that doesn't seem to overlap with other sections already in the article. For those that do have some overlap, you can decide how to fold them in (whether part of the existing article goes under your new heading or your new work goes under the existing heading) once you have a completed article and are getting ready to move it out of your sandbox. As you continue adding to this, these new sections could potentially be expanded--are there any physiological effects of living at this high altitude for them? What have their interactions with humans been? What happened in the 1990's to bring this monkey out of being almost unknown (and who did know about it before then?)? The original article mentions a threat of habitat loss but has no source for this--are you able to find information to tell us more about this? For the introduction in particular, you may find that your draft work is duplicating some work already in the article (in particular, you will probably find that you want to retain things like the monkey's Latin name, possible other names they are known by, language about them being endemic to China, etc.) Finally, it might be useful to have images of their habitat and/or possibly juveniles compared with adults, if you can find openly licensed images of these!

I look forward to seeing what else you add to this article! Nicoleccc (talk) 02:08, 29 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Review

[edit]

-Introduction: There were some words that could be linked to a wiki page so the reader get more information. -Diet: I think it might be useful to add if they're herbivores, omnivores or carnivores.(idk why but I feel like it would be good) -Anatomy and Physiology: This would be a nice place to add pictures. -Your article looks really good so far and has a lot of information. The only other thing I would suggest is add a couple more sources, it will give you more information and make the information you have more credible. Nice job!Lynseymae (talk) 05:00, 29 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
