Editing User Pages.
Hi. It's inappropriate to blank other editors user pages. Please feel free to contact me at my talk page. Jacona (talk) 01:06, 20 September 2015 (UTC)
I appreciate your hard work on Battle of Tupelo, but you really need to STOP and take a moment to learn how to edit using Wikipedia style. While some of your edits were helpful, many of them messed up the formatting. Please stop adding links to section headings, and take a moment to learn how to add citations. Thanks for your cooperation. Magnolia677 (talk) 23:20, 11 October 2015 (UTC)
- I just spent an hour cleaning up that article. Please discuss your edits here or on the talk page. Magnolia677 (talk) 01:28, 12 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Concering this edit; I'm curious why you changed the correct "the Netherlands" into the completely wrong "Holland". Fnorp (talk) 09:50, 4 February 2016 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Southern Cross of Honor, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Postbellum. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Thank you for your contributions. It seems that you may have added public domain content to one or more Wikipedia articles, such as Polk County, Texas. You are welcome to import appropriate public domain content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Public-domain sources, including the usage of an attribution template. Please make sure that any public domain content you have already imported is fully attributed. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 23:44, 28 April 2016 (UTC)

"Josiah Martin (April 23, 1737 – April 13, 1786), was a British administrator who served as the ninth Governor of North Carolina, serving from 1771 to 1775"
Why have you suddenly changed him to "American"?
Eddaido (talk) 19:52, 27 December 2016 (UTC)
He did the same thing to Sir Richard Everard, 4th Baronet, about another colonial governor of North Carolina, a British subject, a member of the Baronetage of England, who lived and died before there was such a thing as a country called "America". The article was written in BE with British style dates and existed as such for the past nine years. There seems to be some lack of understanding of guidelines here and since this editor has, apparently, a history of not discussing changes, a revert is probably in order. - Nunh-huh 04:58, 9 January 2017 (UTC)
Categorisation
Hello. Per WP:SMALLCAT, you shouldn't really create a category such as Category:1st Confederate States Congress if there's only one article that can go in it. Also you should always add categories to any new categories you create - it helps humans find things and also allows lots of automated maintenance to happen. So for instance it would be appropriate to add Category:Congress of the Confederate States to that category above. Also just the act of looking at how a new category might fit in the existing hierarchy may help you eg find an existing category that fits better. Cheers. Hyphens in ranks during the American Civil War
Hey,
would you please stop puting hyphens in the ranks (like Lieutenant-Colonel, Major-General etc.)? Those are the US ranks, or occasionally CS ranks; which are written without any hyphens. Unlike the British there instead is just a space. Nothing else. Thanks. ...GELongstreet (talk) 21:12, 23 March 2017 (UTC)
- Responded to your answer on my talk and accordingly will no further interdict your hyphening. No hard feelings and thanks for contributing about the ACW ...GELongstreet (talk) 23:36, 23 March 2017 (UTC)
