Your edits on Cheddar Man
[edit]Hello. Please stop adding irrelevant material to the article, it's about Cheddar Man only, not discussions about who descends from who. There's a separate article for that: Genetic history of the British Isles. - Tom | Thomas.W talk 22:28, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
- It isn't "irrelevant" at all, since the article discusses the amount of ancestry of the Mesolithic WHG population that Cheddar Man belonged to with regards to modern, indigenous Anglo-Celtic British people. This also does not explain your re-verts of my other edits. Libertas et Veritas (talk) 23:04, 17 March 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Your recent editing history at Cheddar Man shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. - Tom | Thomas.W talk 22:38, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
- I did not know that an article that requires edits to be reviewed before being posted included the 3RR rule. In any case, the warning is also applied to the other users involved. If not, then I will report to an administrator. Also, I am adding completely sourced data with explanations, while the other users are not. You must engage with me on the talk page if you oppose my sourced edits, not simply re-vert and threaten with Wikipedia policies. Libertas et Veritas (talk) 23:02, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
- All pages are subject to WP:3RR. If you want to add material to an article, the onus is on you to seek a consensus for it on the talk page. Repeatedly re-adding it is disruptive and will get you blocked.
- By the way, in your latest revert you stated "no explanation for removal of additional study I posted". I explained why that study is not appropriate for this article here. – Joe (talk) 23:14, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
