Changes at Air India destinations
Why have you done the changes at Air India destinations done by User:Aveouva092? It was looking beautiful and was the exact number of destinations Air India flies to. So,please next time don't make the changes. It's a request to you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aveouva092 (talk • contribs) 17:48, 3 February 2016 (UTC)

Regarding Kingfisher, etc. info at BLR page
Hello, I included the info regarding Kingfisher's hub operations and what came after their demise, because I see this type of info incorporated into many other airport articles. Kingfisher was important to BLR (see the references), thus it deserves a paragraph in the BLR article.
I am trying to elevate this article to good article status, and have already made some edits based on this peer review from 2011. Please let me know what you think of those edits and what more should be done. - ✈Sunnya343✈ (talk) 16:40, 13 March 2016 (UTC)

SpiceJet accidents
Hi! I found that you have removed the case of SpiceJet Flight 2458 from SpiceJet. As per WP:AIRCRASH, it states we can add incidents with serious damage to aircraft. Please let me know what qualifies as serious damage here (as hull loss is classified separately), as the incident in question resulted in damage to landing gear and left engine. Let me know your comments! Also, there is a similar case in IndiGo page. I am trying to take both the articles to GA, so request help. Magentic Manifestations (talk) 08:21, 25 March 2016 (UTC)

Use of current month template
Hi! I had seen your revert on IndiGo. But isn't the reverse right? If the month and year are hard coded, it says that the fleet was updated then. If the template remains, the fleet numbers might be old and the month gets updated, which is not right! Magentic Manifestations (talk) 08:41, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
- @Magentic Manifestations: Using text to represent a month and year rather indicates to readers and editors of wikipedia that the section was never updated since that time. Moreover given that airline fleet/destinations do not keep changing every month, the use of templates is more appropriate. — LeoFrank Talk 16:12, 23 April 2016 (UTC)

Caboose vs Brake van in Indian Railways
Hi,
I got confused by the term caboose and only on opening the link i found that it was referring to the brake van. Have never heard the term caboose used in India, but always used to hear the term brake van. Wiki mentions brake van is a UK term and caboose is a North American term and we obviously will be using the UK term.
Please see the below links which mention a brake van but no caboose.

- Hey Leo, waited for a few days for a reply on this message before I made the revert. I would have preferred a discussion here before the changes were reverted again. Anyway, can you please send me some references where the Guard's cabin is called caboose in India. When I check the Caboose wiki link, the very first line that I see is "For the United Kingdom equivalent, see Brake van". Since the Indian railways were derived from the British system, I presume we will be using the British equivalents and which is what I see in various Indian Railway sites as well. கிருஷ்ணா/Krishna (talk) 11:42, 2 September 2016 (UTC)

New deal for page patrollers
Hi LeoFrank,
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.
Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.
Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:28, 13 November 2016 (UTC)

Kolkata airport lead
Hi. I saw you reverted two of my edits on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport. But what was wrong with my edits ? The lead of the article mentioned Kolkata as India's fifth busiest airport by aircraft movements for 2014-15. Now that we have figures for 2015-16, why can't we mention statistics for this period in the lead ? For 2015-16, Kolkata airport was indeed fifth busiest airport of India by passenger traffic with more than 12 million passengers. Then what do you mean by "clutter" ? Are you trying to intimidate me ? I don't see anything wrong in the way I updated from 2014-15 to 2015-16.
Of course, in terms of air craft movements, Hyderabad airport overtook Kolkata as fifth busiest airport for 2015-16. There is no reason to mention older data when newer data is available. Right now, I am reverting your edits. Please don't take any offence. If I am wrong, please do revert me but after explaining your point aptly. You are a senior editor than me and you might be one of the administrators but that doesn't mean you can revert anybody's edits without citing an appropriate reason. Please explain your action. If you were just and fair, I am happy and will be happy to be reverted. Vibhss (talk) 10:46, 28 January 2017 (UTC)

Lakshadweep Sea / Arabian Sea
Hi LeoFrank,
Thanks for dropping a message on my talk page. I understand that my edits might look like vandalism. However, it might be better if you check the geographic limits of Lakshadweep Sea and Arabian Sea as per the IHO (International Hydrographic Organization) first. Everything south of Sadashivgad (near Karwar in Karnataka) is the Lakshadweep Sea. This is not a commonly known fact, which is why I understand that my edits looked like incorrect information to you. But as per the definition of the sea limits provided, pretty much the entire Karnataka coast and the whole of Kerala coast is by the Lakshadweep Sea, not the Arabian Sea.
Cheers. Ashinpt (talk) 10:09, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
- @Ashinpt: As far as I can see the may, Lakshadweep islands are more to the South of Kerala and so should the boundaries of the Lakshadweep Sea. For the rest of Kerala, Karnataka and Goa, it is Arabian Sea. This is why you see Arabian sea instead of Lakshadweep Sea in the articles you changed.
- Changing without citing any reliable and verifiable sources is considered original research. It is the burden on the editor who is changing some facts or data to a different one to provide such sources.
- Since your claim is against what is mentioned, I'd suggest you to discuss here on this and let editors reach a consensus. — LeoFrank Talk 16:09, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
- @LeoFrank:. Is that your opinion of where the boundaries of Arabian Sea and Lakshadweep Sea should be or are you basing this off some boundary definition that you can cite. These boundaries have been defined for the past more than 60 years by the International Hydrographic Organization, of which India is a member. The articles for the seas very clearly state the boundary definitions and also cite the source for the same. If you have a different version of the boundaries of Lakshadweep Sea and Arabian Sea as per what you are suggesting, then by all means you are welcome to cite them.
- Anyway, you make a fair point that sources should be cited for any claims to the contrary. I'll put these references in, even though the current claims themselves do not cite any sources. And fair enough, it might be best to go through the India Noticeboard so that everybody knows the issue and is comfortable. Ashinpt (talk) 15:19, 30 January 2017 (UTC)

Hello, I know you have listed "kn-2" on your user page as your knowledge of Kannada. Still, I was wondering if you are able to read Kannada. Allahabad Airport

Zoom Air has already confirmed it's future operation expansion to Allahabad. The referenced linked specifically states 24th March as the date. Airline website also shows Allahabad in it's destination list. This does not need anymore clarification. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Apoorv2312 (talk • contribs) 06:35, 11 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Apoorv2312: If that is the case, it your burden to provide a reference which states the firm date. Stop adding this reference which just states that the airline plans on starting which in no way is a confirmation. If you do add a correct reference, just add the destination content and stop blindly reverting and adding the content related to Central Air Command. It is nothing by original research. — LeoFrank Talk 06:39, 11 February 2017 (UTC)
- Apoorv2312 (talk) 06:45, 11 February 2017 (UTC) Your reverted edits regarding Zoom Air, could be accepted until the operations really starts. No more disputes on that.
- But a brief about Central Air Command topic should not be removed from the page. I belong to the place of interest being discussed, and the Bamrauli (Allahabad) Airport is primarily known for Central Air Command operations and proceedings only.
- Operations for civilians airlines for public is a secondary simultaneous proceeding at airport. This particular edit is not acceptable. Stop reverting edits, you may be blocked from editing.
- @Apoorv2312: As I said, the content on Central Air Command is nothing but original research. If you need to add it, just like in the Zoom Air case, it your burden to provide reliable and verifiable sources for the content! There's not a single source. Understand how things work here in wikipedia and reason out why your edits are reverted than blindly reverting them back. Remember, there is no hurry in adding content. Go through all the links in this message. And don't you threaten me, I know how things work here better than you! — LeoFrank Talk 06:50, 11 February 2017 (UTC)
- Apoorv2312 (talk) 07:02, 11 February 2017 (UTC) This shows how much you actually know. If you don't see sources you try adding them, rather than deleting the content. We have improvise to Wikipedia not deplete it of information. What's the source of your edit, what's the source of your actions/judgement to be justifiable.
- One should edit those areas that are specifically in their scope and reach of observation or interest.
- And for your information, Central Air Command is Indian government based organization/undertaking. You need sources for that?
- I am not going to dispute with you anymore, you rather are too learned to be taught.
- @Apoorv2312: This actually shows how much you understand the policies here. As I stated, it the burden of the editor who claims the content to be true to provide references. Despite providing all the links to policies, all you want is justify the fact that you love adding back original research. You don't own any article here. Everyone is free to edit any article and remove content that violates our policies! And whenever you reply, stick to the same section instead of creating a new one every time! We are done talking here. — LeoFrank Talk 07:07, 11 February 2017 (UTC)

Why don't you simply delete this page then: Central Air Command. I repeat, if you do not belong to this region, stay out to edit it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Apoorv2312 (talk • contribs) 07:25, 11 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Apoorv2312: You do not own any article. And stop posting on my talk page. — LeoFrank Talk 07:28, 11 February 2017 (UTC)
