Don't you think that this article needs more pictures?? --Arjuncm3 (talk) 18:25, 16 April 2013 (UTC)

Please take it to the talk page, not here. Since the article happens to be an FA, you need to gain consensus for such additions/changes.  Abhishek  Talk 18:26, 16 April 2013 (UTC)

Bangalore Palace

Is it not home to rulers of Mysores, It was used as summer palace by Maharajas of Mysore, The main palace is in city of Mysore which was capital back then and the one in Bangalore was used as summer palace not their residence or home — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.221.26.221 (talk) 18:06, 17 April 2013 (UTC)

India Statistic Vandal

The truth is if I had seen it at WP:RPP I would have probably declined it as well. You either need to point out that the IP is hitting a range of airports or that there is a lot of IPs making the same edits. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 17:30, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

Hmmmm ok. I was actually busy and could not dig out all the airports where the IP vandalises, so I just happen to mention the article which I reverted. Thanks anyways. Will keep this in mind.  Abhishek  Talk 02:11, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

Cochin International Airport

Hi Abhishek,

I noticed that you added back the fanpov maintenance tag back to the article on CIAL. I think the article is fairly sourced. Not sure which part resembles a fansite. Can you please tag those specific statements? JK (talk) 17:50, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

If it is fairly sourced, it does not automatically imply that the "fan site" resemblance has vanished. There were a whole bunch of "Kochi" chauvinists just POV pushing this and other Kochi related articles. Most of them were blocked for meatpuppetry. Coming to the "Fan site" thing, the article hasn't changed as such from the time I first tagged it.  Abhishek  Talk 02:09, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

"Arabic Language" Article

Hi Abhishek191288 - please do not remove my addition to the Arabic Language external links - it was not spam, but is a useful Arabic resource, which deals with Arabic phonetics. I am adding it back, with the full reference -kindly leave it in place! Arabist Tilmeedh (talk) 09:21, 3 May 2013 (UTC)

Language templates for native names in airport infobox

Hi Abhishek191288 - I do not understand why one would want to get rid of the language templates in the native name fields of the airport infobox, such as you have done for the Latur Airport: diffs on Latur Airport. There are many examples where such templates are useful, for instance Beijing Capital International Airport (Chinese) or El Arish International Airport (Arabic). Could you please let me add that language template in the Latur Airport example without reverting my change? -- Denis.arnaud (talk) 09:33, 12 May 2013 (UTC)

This is in reference to your comment here. I was not experimenting with titles. Digvijaya Singh is his correct name and not Digvijay Singh. These two names have often been confused. Infobox indic

It was very clear from the discussion that the suggestion at WP:INDICSCRIPT did not apply to infoboxes and that there was considerable opposition (everyone who mentioned geographical articles) to applying it to geographical articles, go back and read the original and the recent. --Bejnar (talk) 16:34, 17 May 2013 (UTC)

Oh really? You raise a discussion and you yourself come to a conclusion that it was clear to include them? Pointless! And what about those concerns that were raised, you didn't bother to address them!  Abhishek  Talk 16:38, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) Agree with you, Abhishek. Bejnar, you really should not try to do things by the back door. - Sitush (talk) 17:01, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
I addressed the concerns. There is no point in repeating myself. What did you miss? --Bejnar (talk) 17:42, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
Oh! So you mean to say that the reasons given for their removal from the lead do not apply for the infobox? You mean there won't be edit wars over which language scripts to add? Take the example of Kaveri where you recently added them. You have failed to prove why they won't cause any disruption.  Abhishek  Talk 06:18, 18 May 2013 (UTC)
They exist in hundreds, if not thousands of geographical articles, and cause little disruption. We are not talking popular culture here, like songs and movies. Read the comments that other people wrote about geographical usage. For example, this one by regentspark, one of many examples. --Bejnar (talk) 18:08, 18 May 2013 (UTC)

Customs airport?

Hi. According to AAI's website, here Nagpur is not a "customs" airport, but an international one. Its funny that you should revert my edit and place the term "custom airport" while the article name itself says international. Trinidade (talk) 18:32, 19 May 2013 (UTC)

Name of an airport has got nothing to do with its status. Take London Heathrow for eg, it is an international airport, but does the word international appear. So are you now going to remove this fact from the article stating that the name does not have the word international? The same holds good for Mangalore Airport (India). And yeah, the link you posted is just out dated as Coimbatore, Trichy and Calicut have been declared international long back! It's funny you claim Nagpur is international!  Abhishek  Talk 12:25, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
Its not my claim, The MoCA accorded international status to the airport in 2005. This is the notification and the text is as follows.

MINISTRY OF CIVIL AVIATION NOTIFICATION, New Delhi, the 5th May, 2005. S.O. 663 (E). --- It is hereby notified that the existing domestic airport at Nagpur is declared as an International Airport and named as “Dr. Ambedkar International Airport” with immediate effect. [No. AV-16011/01/2001-AAI] Dr. NASIM ZAIDI, Jt. Secy. I'm going to have to revert your edit and cite the notification as a reference. Cheers. Trinidade (talk) 13:17, 20 May 2013 (UTC)

I don't see any other sources for this. What is the proof that this has come into effect and has not been stuck somewhere waiting for approval?  Abhishek  Talk 13:36, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
The airport hardly qualifies to be considered international. Since there is only one international flight out of the airport, I believe it is correct to be called customs until we find a suitable source that says the airport has been granted the international status. To be precise, Goa, Trichy and Coimbatore also do not meet the international standards of being called an international airport.  Abhishek  Talk 13:49, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
I believe a Government of India notification on the matter is the best proof you'll ever find of the change of status. Various newspapers also reported the change in status as well as the associated change of name to Dr. Ambedkar International in 2008. The airport had four international services initially which have dropped out over the course of time. If the Government calls it international, then it is misleading that the Wikipedia article should call it Customs. The title 'customs' has has nothing to do with the number of flights servicing the airport. Moreover, The wikipedia article on International Airports also describes the term as "an airport that can accommodate international flights", No minimum number of flights is specified. Thanks Abhishek for the information ,but it look like at that time i just cant had that time that it is actually an vandalism or an mistake made by new user and i am familiar with the Wikipedia guideline. But it seems like that cases of Vandalism and common mistakes made by new user's has increased and i can not look after new articles that are till in the sandbox and can not published it.If this kind of cases are going increase by time we have to took rather a strong step to control this kind of cases and possible scenario or we cant save this article in time and can't make this article more suitable and according to the Wikipedia guidelines. If you have any kind of doubts or question you can leave a message on my talk page User talk:Akshay b patil.

Perhaps you need to thoroughly go through WP:AGF and WP:NOTVAND. Plus if some one does not agree with your edits, they are not vandalising at all. Everyone is entitled to their opnion.  Abhishek  Talk 12:23, 27 May 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for your replay

Thanks for your replay, but i hardly thinks so that is the case because if you look at the edits made at the Nesari, you will notice that i have not Undid many version which are not any kind of Possible vandalism or even a mistake made into that articles. After all i have created the article i have to look after it. I don't Discourage any one but i am happy to see that they have taken the interest in the article. But my point is that we rather should do something about the Possible Vandalism and Common mistake made by any user.Because few months earlier we have saw that the scale of mistake or any kind of wrong opinion on the article related to that region has increased rapidly and many of the articles still have to meet the Wikipedia guideline can't be extend and improved and most of the articles still to be review and i am not aganist any ones edit but have been a little concern after one of my article was fully vandalised and my other article which i have created was also vandalised and saved by other user, yes some times i become over protective but i am familiar with the WP:AGF and WP:NOTVAND guide lines and some times i may do some kind of silly mistakes, but thanks for your concern's

Regarding User kingofgoood

Hello. Just wanted your opinion on User Kingofgoood. He seems to have a similar MO as User Mailersonly. Both of them add kannada script in articles and insert "born in Karnataka" or "born into a Kannada-speaking family" kind of edits. Both their accounts seem to exist solely for these kinds of edits and kingofgoood came into the picture just after Mailersonly was banned. I've specifically noticed that they have both edited Jaggi Vasudev, N. R. Narayana Murthy, & Nandan Nilekani with pretty much the same edits. Wanted to know if you think they are one and the same, just to be sure before reporting the user.Regstuff (talk) 08:18, 29 May 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for your warning, this time i have made edit on the belgaon article with a reliable reference and that is from The hindu. Regarding Infobox

I can see that as per the discussion regarding indic scripts in infoboxes, there was no consensus reached as to whether to remove them or not. So it means that in articles where there is no conflict, it can remain and I see no reason why you should remove these scripts meticulously. Magentic Manifestations (talk) 07:50, 3 June 2013 (UTC)

Regarding Timetable

Dear Abhishek,

I have seen that you have removed the timetable of the trains in Bangalore Rajadhani and Godavari Express and you have cited WP:NOTTRAVEL as the reason for your removal. But, it doesn't mention any where that the timetables are to be avoided. The timetable is not a how-to guide but just a reference for the stops a train has during its schedule, which are necessary to mention because Wikipedia describes what a train does. I have also provided the timetable with citations from Makemytrip.com which is a popular travel site. Only after a thorough examination, I have added these tables because they are not travel guides but only describe what a train does. Your reason is not convincing. I am sorry if you are offended.

Thanks, Nikhil

--BNK(talk) 08:54, 3 June 2013 (UTC)

First of all, makemytrip is not a reliable source. Secondly, if there needs to be a mention about the stations that the train stops, a few important ones (not all) could be mentioned. The time table is unencylopedic and Wikipedia is an encyclopedia!  Abhishek  Talk 12:37, 4 June 2013 (UTC)

Regarding the Belgaon Article

Hello Sir,

I have got a reply from Krishnavishwaroopam and that is his is IN HIS OWN WORDS In response to User akshay.B.Patil revert on Belgaum article. Previously you said its 70% marathi. And now you say its 40%.You are changing your own opinion after I did soo many reverts. What does this mean. You yourself were not sure and wrote 70% earlier.right? Can you give me the source that says 40% marathi,32 % kannada, etc what ever you have mentioned in Belgaum's article? Also its not Belgaon as you are repeatedly saying, call it as Belgaum.I am trying to keep it generic.so had mentioned it as "Kannada and Marathi are languages spoken",not mentioning any perecentages since no one are 100% sure of this,is my opinion not right?Even in latest edit it appears that Mr akshay is trying to showcase more Marathi prominance in Belgaum. Why not keep it generic???

It looks like he haven't read any rules and Guide of the Wikipedia or following it properly . He haven't gone to that reference and it look's he is just trying to take a one side on this article. I am trying to make it netural and i am not going to look after this article an more. If i see any kind of even sight Vandalism or wrong and Incorrect information according to the Wikipedia Guideline then we have to take rather an strong step and have to Semi-Protected till the the matter have been Solved. Can you pleas Apply for the Protection for the Belgaum. It is ok that even if I am also can't been not allowed to edit it and if it is been only edited or revision passed by an administratiore. if would be happy to do it by myself but i don't have enough time to just look after the only one article. Kindly, please can you do it soon as possible.

Hi, I started a new articles named India in WW1, but cant advance any more, can you please write this? The link is-Wikipedia:Articles_for_creation/India_in_World_War_I#cite_note-1 My main problem is I dont know how to give references properly.

I have written the introduction a bit, I guess it needs expansion. There will be 4 total main sections(with exception of introduction):

1) Indian Position: Explaining stances of various Indian political parties, including Congress, their conditions. 2) Indian contribution- this will have 3 sub sections- British Indian army involvement, Economic help from India(describing how many food was sent to troops as ration etc) 3) Impact of war: Describing War impact on Indian civil life, food shortage and 1918 Epidemic, price rise. 4) Revolutionary activities mentioning Gadar Conspiracy and Hindu-German Conspiracy with mentioning of Komagata Maru incident, Rash Bihari Bose, Bagha Jatin and 1915 Singapore Indian mutiny.

These are only my suggestions. Thank you.Ovsek (talk) 07:15, 7 June 2013 (UTC)

Response to your request that I cite reliable sources (changes to TNR page)

Hello again and thank you, Abhishek, for corrections regarding the statements I'd included on the Trap Neuter Release page.

As I'm sure is evident by now, I am what is difficult for me to be -- a Newbie -- and was being impatient with myself, which rarely achieves positive results. I am in present and future working in accordance with the rules.

I inserted my own Talk, rather than making changes to existing statements that had been made by others in this article. The source I would have been able to to cite is the director of a local charitable no-kill shelter for felines who handles the TNR program quite different than that of the ASPCA: the leaves the work of trapping feral or homeless felines to local people like myself/ Sterile, humane traps are dropped off at the residences of people who have requested these traps which are made available up to a week in advance, depending upon how difficult the cat has proven to capture in past. I have had great success. failing only to capture one cat who had evidently been someone's abandoned cat and would vanish the moment the cages arrived, returning within an hour after the cages were gathered up and removed from the property. This cat was aggressively territorial and in the end, he vanished (likely the victim of a coyote, disease or a rival cat). I wanted to Talk about how other lower income, lesser known shelters dealt with the same problem of TNR and the impact the program had on a rural environment in a small high desert town in NW Arizona, USA. While Gerard, the man who created and runs the shelter can be an official source, as it is his program. I can write attest to the fact that the cats do not get quite the luxurious treatment that can be afforded by the ASPCA. Gerard asks that each person who brings cats or kittens to him contributes what they can to make a nearly 200 mile round-trip to a veterinary facility in a large city, helping to pay at the very least for gasoline for the journey.

I have struggled to survive on a very low income and the most I could afford to contribute was $30 to have four cats taken in to be spayed and neutered. I felt this was an insufficient amount and was amazed to see tears in the eyes of the woman at he "drop off point", as she told me: "this is the most money anyone has ever given us to help with costs!" Apparently, people in this town who were in far better financial condition than myself took gross advantage of the program and gave a couple of dollars. Some gave nothing at all. Gerard can speak as the "expert", but I can speak from the point of view of a person who who has seen the good hat has come of this program living as I do in in the Mohave Desert. I allow two cats who were originally outdoor cats to spend some daylight hours outside. I keep their four "kids", now two years old, living exclusively indoors. The pair who were mother and father kill rodents and chase snakes from the property. I put food and water out for birds when these cats are indoors.

Perhaps my statements will not be backed by statistics (although Gerard may have compiled some numbers by now) and will not seem relevant as "science." I believe that in environments where people use traps and poisons that harm more wildlife and prove to be more hazardous to humans than feral cats do, my Talk might do well on a page of its own or referenced on an external blog. I also feel that in fairness, a reference to "Dog Attacks" deserves to be included. Again, in rural areas in America, people "dump" dogs or allow them or roam freely. They kill wildlife, are vectors for disease and will individually or in packs attack humans. Links to existing pages on Wikipedia provide support for these facts.

I appreciate your advice and advance feedback regarding this, as I feel very strongly that the TNR program is one of he best approaches we've found thus far for reducing the numbers of feral cats, which is a problem that will continue to increase in America as irresponsible people make decisions to abandon their animals in the belief "they'll fend for themselves."

It is my hope to become a valuable contributor to Wikipedia, once I have fully mastered the complete understanding of correct behavior. Again, I thank you for you time and kindness in the way you have informed me to Pay Attention! You have my sworn promise that when in doubt, I will ask before making any changes. Wishing you a most excellent day. : ) Sorcerorswords (talk) 09:26, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

Eshwar.om, you need to take a step back here. I'm not entirely sure what it is you are trying to do but it really does seem to be POV-pushing and even coatracking. If nothing else, you need to be a bit more organised in your thoughts and set yourself realistic goals that are focussed. You also need to consider consensus and not make random, inappropriate accusations of vandalism.

I have just redirect the Bangalore Tamils article that you recently created because, well, it was one of the most disorganised, pointless articles that I've seen here in a long time. Sorry, and perhaps it did have an encyclopedic purpose but if so then I was unable to fathom what it was. My suggestion in that particular instance would be that if you wish to reinstate it then you use your sandbox to develop a draft and then submit the thing through our Articles for Creation process or ask some experienced contributors to review it. I, for one, would have no objection to being asked. - Sitush (talk) 12:03, 13 June 2013 (UTC)

In last few days when that article haven't edited that much, i have created many article and had known many new user on the Wikipedia, i learnt what they think of the article created by me and if i have created the article that need to be deleted they have taught me how to improve my article and they have encouraged me to improve the article and make a new start on the article that have been already deleted, make them even proper and according to the Wikipedia Guidelines. You have learnt me know how that article was already been lost and i can do nothing to help it, Now i even fear to touch it and clean it due to how it has lower in the quality scale. I think so, even if i want to edit that article i can't due to i cant look after it anymore in order to look after the article created by me. Again thanks for your cooperation and you still you have to give me your point of view regarding the Eclipse Class Dreadnought [2].

Regard and Your Great fully,

Abhishek

you are interrupting all my edits. That is not fair to feel by me. Taking ownership for all articles.Do you thing your the owner of wikipedia?Your pushing ethnicity of karnataka (Might be).which is no need for all article. Is it need for all article with out neutral point? Is it so?! Is south india only belongs to karnataka?I hope not. I know better way to communicate in english. if you can.then why can't me.I hope this is enough for us.If not understandable by you.i can try my level best in the next time dude.Your way of edit is simply Pushing your ethnicity in south india related article.i may report you. your interest might be Flight and airport.Mine could be Languages and india. Do you thing other may ask and set their interest from you? Before teach others you could learn better Speak in positive way. Some one may hurt.

I noticed you ,Ganging together with your friends and keep on interrupt my edits. I am sorry .you crossed your limit.i am going to report you.others easily not find about your tactic !because your giving global contribution. But i know your edit history from beginning with wiki.i have the enough reliable proofs also i know your other account which is used by you before.your giving global contribution, yes no dought, but mean the while your the dominating in south india related article in the name of kannada and karnataka pushing.i believe some nutral contributors will watch us.Might they know who doing wrong or not!Still i love the policies of wikipedia.Thank youEshwar.omTalk tome 19:43, 3 July 2013 (UTC)

Fresh start

Abhishek, 1st my block lapsed on 22 June & there has been no evasion on my part nor is it the way i work. I take the flack & flowers for my actions. I see that you have resorted the incorrect image on Surat railway station once again. Just do me 1 favour - Take a look at Mumbai Rajdhani Express's page & compare the image to Surat Railway station.

Even after our recent disagreements, you have to admit they are the same image & the same image cannot represent two railway stations 263 kms apart. One more thing - the tall building in the backgroud is the great eastern royale building located in mumbai. You can google & view the images. So pls revert your edit on Surat railway station. It will be the correct thing to do.

Let us forget all our previous disagreements & start afresh. I am sure we can work things out. Superfast1111 (talk) 05:52, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
