Speedy deletion nomination of File:Kalebcooperwalking.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Kalebcooperwalking.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a copyright violation of https://www.alamy.com/kaleb-cooper-at-the-big-feastival-2022-on-alex-james-cotswolds-farm-kingham-oxfordshire-photo-by-joshua-james-image480389964.html?imageid=3ECD9B10-4660-4386-9F44-2B1801C71B71&p=1948632&pn=1&searchId=5c4ee5f350baa277f77758c820733413&searchtype=0 and has no credible claim of fair use or permission. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Whpq (talk) 16:02, 9 April 2024 (UTC)
Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Lemonademan22! While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's elegibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 16:02, 9 April 2024 (UTC)

[edit]- Can you make me into an admin? I have info with sources in the last "talk" comment suggestion in Rhea Ripley's page BJavierPR (talk) 00:05, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hello,
- I do apologise for the very late reply. But I myself am not an admin and I do not even have the requirements to be one so I cannot make you an admin. Apologies for the incovenience and late reply. I do recommend talking to the editors that you see edit all the articles. Maybe they are admins? Hope this helps! Lemonademan22 (talk) 23:13, 1 October 2024 (UTC)

Replaceable non-free use File:KipSabianJan2024.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:KipSabianJan2024.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file's talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 13:32, 3 November 2024 (UTC)

Can we block people?
[edit]Can we not block people from editing? I hate it when they change things based on their imagination. BJavierPR (talk) 22:35, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
- I'm going to need you to be more specific here. Which article are you referring to and are your referring to me or another editor? Lemonademan22 (talk) 21:38, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- Also bear in mind you must stick to Wikipedia's policy and guidelines and not base edits on original research or use bare URLs and unverified claims, but always should include and use reliable sources to back up your edits. HookFTW (talk) 21:55, 6 November 2024 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher) Users can only be WP:BLOCKed by WP:ADMINISTRATORs; moreover, since blocks are supposed to be preventive not punitive, they're only made when there's really good policy-based reason for doing so. In most cases, there's some substantial discussion that takes place (typically at one of the administrator noticeboards), and evidence in forms of WP:DIFFs need to be provided in support of any claims made. Administrators do have some discretion when it comes to blocks and may do so without warning when they feel its necessary to prevent serious disruption or policy violations, but even those blocks are subject to review. Administrator involvement is mainly limited to serious matters (repeated behavioral issues, repeated major policy violations, etc.) and is typically seen as the last resort. An attempt to resolve any disagreements over article content and other minor things should, at least at first, be made in accordance with Wikipedia:Dispute resolution. It's a good idea for anyone seeking to have another user blocked to take a look at WP:ANI advice before starting the process because things can quickly get messy once it begins. Many users are shocked when the discussion they start WP:BOOMERANGs back onto them and their actions start being discussed. It's not uncommon for someone requesting a block to end up being blocked themselves because their actions are considered to also be inappropriate. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:45, 7 November 2024 (UTC)
The WarGames Match is Legit
[edit]What i'm saying is that the Bloodline against Sami Zayn, The Usos and Roman Reigns WarGames match is legit. But both groups need a fifth member, which StrangerMan123 already agreed about the match existing. 166.181.86.240 (talk) 20:19, 9 November 2024 (UTC)
- Even if it's unsourced you gotta watch SmackDown last night, when Solo brought the challenge to Roman Reigns, which he pointed out, "There's only four of you". It could be true. But they could've accepted already. 166.181.86.240 (talk) 20:20, 9 November 2024 (UTC)
- I understand that. WWE, however, needs to announce that there is an offical War Games match for us to add it. Lemonademan22 (talk) 00:38, 10 November 2024 (UTC)
- Ok. Thank you. Also about 2-3 ago (i think) StrangerMan123 added a source i'll check that rq. 2600:1700:9AA2:4540:9444:F9E:29B2:27F5 (talk) 01:09, 10 November 2024 (UTC)
- It was a link to Fightful. Fightful is usually a reliable source when WWE doesnt add a match. But they usually do sometimes. Take 3 examples from this year. 2 from SummerSlam and one from Bad Blood. It took 5-6 days to add the Cody Rhodes against Solo Sikoa for the Undisputed WWE Championship onto the WWE website. And it took 2-3 days to get the Rhea Ripley against Liv Morgan for the Women's World Championship onto the site. And it took 2 weeks to get the Nia Jax VS Bayley onto the WWE Website for Bad Blood (NOTE: Nia Jax didnt have a number one contender until the time they added the match to the site.) All are different situations. 2600:1700:9AA2:4540:9444:F9E:29B2:27F5 (talk) 01:12, 10 November 2024 (UTC)

I have sent you a note about a page you started
[edit]Hi Lemonademan22. Thank you for your work on Chain wrestling. Another editor, MPGuy2824, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:
not mentioned in target page
To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|MPGuy2824}}
. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)
-MPGuy2824 (talk) 08:03, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- @MPGuy2824: It isn't mentioned in the target page because "Chain wrestling" is another word for "Catch wrestling". Both are exactly the same, just different words, which is why I created a redirect. Lemonademan22 (talk) 11:57, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- We shouldn't be surprising readers. Please add a mention of this on the target page, with a good reference. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 12:01, 11 November 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks for your edits, but we shouldn't really be adding "as of" for stuff that happened years ago. Joe Gacy was not on Raw in 2020. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 18:54, 20 November 2024 (UTC)
- He signed to the company in 2020. I also thought the consensus was you should put "As of" in wrestlers' bios. Has that now changed? Lemonademan22 (talk) 18:55, 20 November 2024 (UTC)
- I'm not aware of any consensus for that. In regards to Gacy, you wrote "As of August 2020, he is signed to WWE, on the Raw brand" which isn't true. He wasn't on Raw in 2020. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 18:58, 20 November 2024 (UTC)
- I have asked what the consensus is on the Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Professional wrestling as I believe it was mentioned to put it but that could just be a mistake on my end, as for Gacy I did not see that, I thought I put "As of August 2020 he is signed to WWE." but obviously not. WP:PW/CAREER
[edit]Thanks for your contributions. Have you read our PW style guide? Per WP:PW/CAREER: "Summarize the major events and key points of the wrestler's career. Avoid writing in proseline ("week-by-week" format) and adding excessive details." Not every ppv or special episode appearance is notable. A random appearance/match with no storyline is non-notable and it is just WP:FAN. Also, please don't add unnecessary dates/proseline/week-by-week format. Dates are only necessary when we talk about a specific episode or moment. PPVs and special episodes have their own detailed articles with their date. --Mann Mann (talk) 02:18, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
