[edit]If you've put the proper code in your monobook.js, you should get windows that appear when you hover over links. If that's not happening, try purging your cache (press Ctrl + F5). If you still can't get it to work, tell me and I'll do what I can. Good luck! --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 21:44, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
- I just noticed the other message you left me. How you revert vandalism depends on which Internet browser you have. On both of them, you have to hover over "diff" links to be able to revert. On Internet Explorer, there should be a link that says "rv." On Mozilla Firefox, there should be an "actions" link, and if you hover over it, there should be a "revert" link that appears. Hope that helps, and happy vandal fighting! --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 22:02, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, you have to hover over the "last" link in the page history. To tell what edits they made, use the "compare versions" button to see the edits. --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 22:24, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

Not nonsense
[edit]Thanks for editing this encyclopedia (which is awesome btw). I actually have something to contribute to that page because those three sentences don't make sense. My first change was not appropriate, but I would like to change that 'Mickey Ratt' to 'Rough Cutt' because I believe it's correct. Is that ok?

- She's just weird sometimes. íslenskur fellibylur #12 (samtal) 21:33, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
- Not gonna work. She's mad at me over a stupid little thing cuz i asked her to apologized to me, and she won't, so she won't let me talk to here. Plus, earlier, she said that she purposely wanted to get banned, and she gets all happy when she does. So don't be reluctant to ban her, cuz she wants to. íslenskur fellibylur #12 (samtal) 22:30, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

Mr. Lefty's RfA thanks
[edit]Hi, Legolost, and thanks for supporting me in my recent request for adminship, which succeeded with a final tally of 70/4/4. I hope I can live up to your expectations, and if there's ever anything you need, you know where to find me! --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 00:05, 26 September 2006 (UTC) |
I left her a stern note on her talk page; hopefully she straightens out. If she continues, she could be facing an indefinite block, seeing as she has made no encyclopedic contributions, and Wikipedia is not a social networking site. Thanks for the heads-up! --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 01:00, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Re: Citizendium
[edit]Hey Luke, thanks for your congrats. I'm not sure about Citizendium. I guess it might seem more appealing to people who are experts in their field, but some people with impressive qualifications on the WP mailing list have said they aren't interested in it. So I don't know, what do you think? It sounds a bit like Larry Sanger's idea for Nupedia, which didn't really work out very well and eventually evolved into WP. Sarah Ewart (Talk) 01:13, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, I think you are right, Luke. I seem to remember reading somewhere that editors will have to sign up under their real names and that there won't be an anonymous or pseudonym editing. Yeah, Wiki is pretty famous isn't it. I think it will take a very long time and a lot of work for Citizendium to catch up. Cheers mate, Sarah Ewart (Talk) 11:28, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit]This is a question for your RfA in general: Do you have E-mail activated? Could you reply on my talk page please. Thanks -- Lego@lost Rocks Collide! | 20:00, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- If you mean activated for other users, no, I didn't, I do now : ) - jc37 20:08, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for answering! -- Lego@lost Rocks Collide! | 21:58, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Out of curiosity (if you don't mind my asking), which of your 16 points did I receive? - jc37 01:13, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- Um lets see.. hold on a minute... -- Lego@lost Rocks Collide! | 01:18, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- I've seemed to updated it since your i did your RfA, I do a new one for you and tel you what you received. Might take 5 minutes -- Lego@lost Rocks Collide! | 01:20, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
I've got it, your new score is 17, this is how you scored:
- 1 -- for good Grammar & Spelling
- 2 -- for 95% edit summaries
- 3 -- for civility
- 3 -- for 6 months+
- 2 -- for In 1 project
- 1 -- for E-Mail
- 1 -- for good answers to questions
- 2 -- for 2000+ edits
This table is under Wikiright, a new type of right, only users of wikipedia can use my scoring chart. Hope that helps! :) -- Lego@lost Rocks Collide! | 01:31, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
Yes, it does, actually, thank you.
Seeing how I am merely 3 points from going from a neutral to a support, was there anything "borderline" that I might be able to explain, or help point out difs with? - jc37 01:36, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- Yes there is in fact. You could explain to me more clearly have you or haven't you had any edit conflicts or warring? To make it simple, yes of no.
Yes, I presume you might call them that : ) For example: WP:DENY - there have been issues over whether it should be a guideline yet. Eventually I started a new page for discussing it, in order to hopefully slowdown/stop the tag reversion warring. There was also a discussion that I was the "third party" discussing the islamic Barnstar. Right now I started a talk page discussion about Darth vader being an icon of evil : )
I've also been involved in the ongoing userbox discussions. - jc37 02:21, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
And, how much vandal fighting do you do (none, a bit, some, or a lot)?
- I'm not certain exactly what you might call "vandal fighting". I do a lot of watching for vandalism of on "recent changes". And I have several hundred pages on my watch list that I check several times daily. I'm also fairly well versed in the various noticeboards, etc. - jc37 02:21, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
So, theoretically, you could score a maximum of 24 points. -- Lego@lost Rocks Collide! 01:45, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- I think I'm going to stick with neutral, except with 19 points, there's just some deep feeling, it's really odd. Hope your RfA passes though :-) -- Lego@lost Rocks Collide! 03:41, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- No worries. Thank you for taking the time to discuss it. Oh, and even though it's a single point difference and still neutral, if you wouldn't mind updating the numeric value on the RfA page... : )
- Thanks again : ) - jc37 03:48, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Nathan's RfA
[edit]It is a morale support, to avoid a count of (0,63,12) or something along those lines. Just to make sure he doesn't get discouraged from editing just because of an RfA. Believe me, my usual RfA standards are much more stringent. Canadian-Bacon t c e 05:57, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- Don't worry, one vote won't make a difference on the Cratz descision at the end of the day :P If someone else had voted Support already it would have been an oppose from me, just being nice. Canadian-Bacon t c e 06:03, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Your admin test...
[edit]Hi Legolost! I know you're not around (which I find quite shocking :), but your test for admins says that you're more likely to support someone you personally know before the RfA. Orphaned fair use image (Image:Juno from Celestia.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Juno from Celestia.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Errant move
[edit]Hi there,
I noticed you moved Johnsonville Branch to Johnsonville Train Line. Although Metlink may currently refer to the Johnsonville Branch by a different name, I am afraid that your move was in error and I have requested that the article be moved back to the old title to conform with Wikipedia convention, with Johnsonville Train Line left as a redirect. The standard for NZR branch line article titles is "[Terminus] Branch"; this is consistently applied to every single branch line in the country and the policy is outlined in the NZR Manual of Style. If a line is also referred to by a different name, convention is to note this in the intro (and to establish a redirect page under the different name) - a good example is the Wairio Branch, currently known as the Ohai Industrial Line. Please keep this in mind before moving any other articles.
Have a good one. - Axver 06:53, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you!
