Please don't make test edits. They just fill up the wp:page history without adding any value. You can use wp:Show preview to see what your edit will look like. You can (with Windows) right click on a link and open it in a new page to check its functionality. If everything works correctly, click "Publish page" to save your changes. Thank you Adakiko (talk) 23:59, 22 March 2022 (UTC)
- They aren't test edits; I'm trying to draw attention to that page. Leformefoldef (talk) 00:00, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
- Why? That sort of thing might be construed as wp:vandalism in its own. Adakiko (talk) 00:02, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
- Where should it redirect to? Leformefoldef (talk) 00:03, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
- I don't care. Either is fine. HST is probably more commonly searched for. Check the page views on both articles (The redirects to Erwin will affect the totals) Adakiko (talk) 00:07, 23 March 2022 (UTC)

Also, please leave an wp:Edit summary describing what your change and maybe why you made the change. This shows up on the wp:page history and is helpful for finding edits. Adakiko (talk) 00:00, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Hubble. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Stop it. Adakiko (talk) 00:07, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
- How are my edits disruptive? I just want to see what other people think that page should redirect to. Leformefoldef (talk) 00:08, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
- As stated above, you are filling up the page history. People get wp:blocked for repeated "self-reverted test edits". Adakiko (talk) 00:13, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
- Okay. So edits to get attention are considered test edits? Leformefoldef (talk) 00:14, 23 March 2022 (UTC)

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Hubble. Adakiko (talk) 00:10, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
- Okay, I'll stop. Leformefoldef (talk) 00:10, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
- Change it to what you think it should be - did you see my reply at the Teahouse? If someone reverts it, start a discussion. wp:BRD. Thank you Adakiko (talk) 00:14, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, I did see your comments, and I think Edwin Hubble would be a better target because it's a person's name (and the person after whom HST is named), so is it okay to make one more change there and leave it at Edwin Hubble? Leformefoldef (talk) 00:16, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
- comment Leformefoldef (talk) 00:16, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
- No, please do not continue editing that redirect. ––FormalDude talk 00:37, 23 March 2022 (UTC)

Hubble redirect take two
[edit]- Page views for Hubble Space Telescope Daily average views: 1,798
- Page view for Edwin Hubble Daily average views: 537
Policy: wp:redirect - "Redirects are used to help people arrive more quickly at the page they want to read;' That sort of implies the most read article. Again, many of the HST views might be through the redirect.
@FormalDude: appears to disagree to you making more edits to Hubble redirect. If you do make the change and it gets reverted, wp:BRD Adakiko (talk) 00:49, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
