Someone trying to crack my password

Someone has been trying to crack my password since a long time. If they keep on doing this I'm sure one day they will succeed. Is there anything that can be done to prevent it? --Lee (talk) 11:58, 7 November 2017 (UTC)

Change your password to something more secure? Besides that, since you are an administrator on the Sinhala Wikipedia, two factor authentication may be an option as well. Darylgolden(talk) Ping when replying 13:22, 7 November 2017 (UTC)
@Darylgolden: Thanks! I didn't know about the Two-factor authentication. That sounds a good choice. Only issue I have is, when having those hard to guess passwords, I can also forget what I used as a password. Do you happened to know any plans to implement those simple SMS based additional verifications in Wikipedia projects? --Lee (talk) 15:30, 7 November 2017 (UTC)
To make passwords that are secure yet easy to remember, I recommend this guide from XKCD. I don't know much about 2FA or any plans to implement it further, so I can't help you there. Darylgolden(talk) Ping when replying 22:48, 7 November 2017 (UTC)
No issues. You helped me out on my problem perfectly. Thanks. --Lee (talk) 07:43, 8 November 2017 (UTC)
