DYK for Eberhard Zeidler (architect)
[edit]On 10 February 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Eberhard Zeidler (architect), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Eberhard Zeidler envisaged Toronto Eaton Centre (pictured), which opened 45 years ago today, to be an "interior street" instead of simply a shopping mall? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Eberhard Zeidler. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Eberhard Zeidler (architect)), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

USS Asp (1813)
[edit]Hi Lear's Fool, In 2011 you deleted the article USS Asp (1813) for copyright infringement. What happened? My understanding is that one may copy the relevant DANFS article verbatim, if one so desires, so long as one provides the attribution. The DANFS articles are all in the public domain. Or was there some other issue? Regards, Acad Ronin (talk) 02:28, 15 December 2022 (UTC)
- I'm sorry but I've no recollection whatsoever of what happened with this article. I'm no longer an administrator so I'm unable to see the content of the article when it was deleted. If you need an answer I'm afraid you'll have to get help elsewhere. -- Lear's Fool 22:15, 15 December 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Lear's Fool: Thanks for getting back to me in a timely manner. I was just checking for the sake of good order. I was afraid that you were fully retired; I actually never really expected that you would remember an admin action from 11 years ago unless it was so egregious that it was seared in your memory. I have prepared a new article and will upload it. I believe that it is within the rules. Cheers, Acad Ronin (talk) 23:11, 15 December 2022 (UTC)
- Found the original problem. The old article copied from an article in a monthly magazine. The new article is fine. Acad Ronin (talk) 00:11, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
