[edit]Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Laxmi Neupane, from its old location at User:Laxmi2019/sandbox. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. Sam Sailor 10:39, 22 June 2019 (UTC)
Your submission at Articles for creation: Laxmi Neupane (August 24)

- Followup - I saw that you were requesting help on the IRC channel, I'm presuming you wanted more explanation of why your draft was declined.
- There are a number of things that keep this from being an acceptable article. The number one problem is establishing notability, presumably according to the criteria that apply to musicians (see NMUSIC). Notability is a harder bar to pass than simply proving that someone exists, has performed, has recordings etc. You need independent evidence that at least one of the criteria has been met.
- Aside from that, as the biography of a living person, we require in-line citations for every statement of fact that you make about the person. You can learn more about how to create these citations by reading Referencing for beginners.
- Other problems with draft will also prevent its being accepted: it is written in a tone that we would consider promotional. You may not have external links in the body of the article. Some of those may be turned into citations, others are perhaps better omitted.
- A few other things that could be fixed by other editors, but which you should do. Wikipedia does not use strings of text in all-caps style unless it really is an initialism. An exhaustive list of awards, especially without verifiable references, will likely be edited down to just the most important or perhaps eliminated entirely. Excessive external links to performance videos will not be kept. Interviews may sometimes be used for specific non-controversial information, but they are considered primary sources and do not contribute to notability and should not be given as general references.
- Finally, the overlap in your subject's name and your username raises the question of whether you have a connection with the subject. If so, you need to follow our conflict of interest policy and perhaps read through the advice about autobiographies. Although an editor with a conflict-of-interest is allowed to create a draft, the COI should be dislosed.
- So, your next steps should be:
- disclose or deny your COI on your user page.
- read NMUSIC and identify independent references that establish that one or more of the criteria are met
- I hope this advice is not too discouraging. There are many editors available who will be happy to answer your questions and help you towards being a successful Wikipedia contributor. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 03:52, 28 August 2019 (UTC)
