On User talk:Vegasalas, you accused Moonriddengirl of sockpuppetry and announced an intent to report it. I'm not sure why you would make such a statement. Sockpuppets are alternate accounts that are used abusively. If Moonriddengirl hasn't even made any contributions with Vegasalas, the case can't be made that the account was used abusively. Thank you for your reply to my adoption request on Wikipedia. I appreciate your willingness to offer your time to me. I have used Wikipedia frequently for my research and have, as I suspect is the case with many others; eventually realized I could contribute the information I have amassed in my twenty or so years of research.
Zachary [[1]] has also graciously offered to adopt me. I am grateful to both of you. Is it possible to be adopted by more than one individual? I anticipate that I will need much help in the future days.
As I mentioned to Zachary, I cannot promise you that I will be able to get back to you as quickly as I would like. I am in the throws of the authors race with the publisher to complete my manuscripts for the book "Code of the Sphinx [[2]][[3]]©." My schedule is very tight as I am beholden to the publisher to complete the manuscript by the Spring of 2008.
Zachary [[4]] has informed me about the Wikipedia Chat. I am considering invoking that service but have not as yet. I was not able to email you so I do apologize to you and others who post their messages on your page for so lengthy a message. I have only one caveat; that discretion be used with respect to what we may discuss as regards my book. My publishers[[5]] would not be pleased since a deal has already been made with Amazon.com to distribute the book.
Happily, the publishers are very excited about my books prospects for marketability. I am likewise excited to have created such a stir of excitement with the publishers and editors over my work. In there opinion, and I humbly recount a statement made by my book agent, "Your book is going to be bigger than the Da Vinci Code©[[6]] [[7]]." Well, it is a dream of which I hope comes true.
For now I am shackled to the computer and to my reference books as I race toward the finish line. It is my plan, after reviewing the power of Wikipedia, to create pages that serve a dual purpose, which is to impart the fruits of my research (samples:[[8]] ,[[9]],
[[10]],[[11]],
[[12]],
[[13]], [[14]], [[15]],[[16]],
[[17]],
[[18]],[[19]],[[20]]),
but to also create a central repository.
I have included all of this information as my thoughts are perhaps that such may be helpful to you in order to understand my intentions and for you to know a bit of the whys and wherefore's. Again, thank you for your time. I have been studying HTML and CSS in order to create more effective entires into Wikipedia. How am I doing thus far?

We are going to be doing some interesting things soon, hopefully, pending the outcome of our current census of membership. The project page has some resources, which should get better as we progress. I have been working with several other editors on building Wikipedia's resources on the Black Hawk War of 1832. You can see our collaboration page if you are interested. The page will become a sub page (or a division) of the history task force, if our proposals take off. Just to let you know for future reference that "centre" is the correct British English spelling of the US English "center", so it's the spelling which should be used in an article about a British university. On October 4, 2007 WikiProject Illinois embarked on a membership census. The census was the project's first since its establishment on September 24, 2005. Due to the nature of the wiki, and the two years that had passed, it seemed likely that many of the project's older members were no longer active. The project page had grown stagnant and the census provided an opportunity to see who was still around, slaving away in their own corner of the encylopedia, unknown to the rest of the Illinois editing world. Well, now, the tabulation is complete, and after a notice at the Community Portal, we have gained a couple new members amongst the cluster of project veterans who returned to sign up. Of the 55 members listed on the project membership list on October 4, 26 editors returned to the list to "resign up," thus, confirming their current activity within project areas. If you received this message, you were one of those editors. The List of Participants has now been updated to reflect the results of this membership survey, with members who failed to respond highlighted as "inactive." Now, as a group of editors, we have a core list of individuals, that will hopefully grow in size as the project strives to become a better organized central collaboration space for editors working on Illinois related topics.
The big question, where does the project go from here? Well there are a few proposals being floated at this project page. Little discussion has occurred thus far, and participation would be key to all of them. Some ideas include:
