Replaceable fair use File:Archana Chandhoke.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Archana Chandhoke.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 12:05, 26 June 2019 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for July 3
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sathya (TV series), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Bengali and Telugu (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 21:06, 3 July 2019 (UTC)
Copyright violation warning
[edit]Your addition to Jasprit Bumrah has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information. - The photographer (SK Chaudhary) himself had published the image under CC BY 2.0 license. Kindly check it on the youtube link provided in that file page. Thank you. Lakshmanlaksh (talk) 05:18, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
- Absolutely not. It's a professional photograph and is copyrighted. The fact that you created a YouTube video that contains a copyrighted image does not make you the photographer. Please do not continue to put copyrighted images into Wikipedia articles. Railfan23 (talk) 05:22, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
- I'm not the author. The author S.K. Chaudhary published image under CC BY 2.0 license. kindly check this link for verification. Lakshmanlaksh (talk) 05:26, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
- You uploaded it to Commons. It is a copyrighted image. Someone uploading it to YouTube does not give you the right to release a copyrighted image under a Creative Commons license. Railfan23 (talk) 05:29, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
- The copyrigjt holder (S. K. Chaudhary) published it under CC BY 2.0 license. See this image also published in youtube by author under CC BY 3.0 license. Likewise there are many images in commons. Lakshmanlaksh (talk) 05:33, 2 August 2019 (UTC)

It does not matter what the author of that video did. He does not have the right to release that image under a Creative Commons license. Nor do you. Only the copyright holder has the right to do that. This remains a copyrighted image and you must not add it to any Wikipedia article. Railfan23 (talk) 05:36, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
- No. He is the copyright holder who published his image under a license on youtube. The author S.K. Chaudhary published his image under CC BY 2.0 license. Lakshmanlaksh (talk) 05:41, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
- You have no evidence of that. How do you know Chaudhary is the author of the photograph? Do you know him? Have you corresponded with him specifically about this image? Unless you have written evidence from the India Times that Chaudhary is the photographer and he has their permission to release the photograph under a CC license, then you haven't got anything at all. By the way, I'm this close to filing a Sockpuppet complaint against you and User:Lina Merlin. Are you confident it will show nothing? Railfan23 (talk) 05:45, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
- Mamy websites use same image. Who told India times is the real owner?? Lakshmanlaksh (talk) 05:50, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
- Well, the IndiaTimes article is from March 2016. The YouTube video was from July 2019. Which do you think is the original? Railfan23 (talk) 06:06, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
- Maybe he took image early and used it later for his youtube video. Lakshmanlaksh (talk) 00:58, 3 August 2019 (UTC)

[edit]This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at Jasprit Bumrah, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Copyright violation is not allowed on Wikipedia. STOP. Railfan23 (talk) 05:23, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
- The author published his image under CC BY 2.0 license. It means anyone can share and copy with proper attribution to author. Lakshmanlaksh (talk) 05:28, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Jasprit Bumrah; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. David Biddulph (talk) 07:49, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
