Mentor Advice
Hi, you gave me a lot of constructive help in my early wikipedia years.
I have had a troublt free period for many years until last summer. I had done a series of articles filling in gaps in the list of Moderators of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland (and Free Church of Scotland)... this was going well until editor Melcous started reverse editing all items and querying "if every Moderator was worth an article"... which is a bit like asking if every pope is worth an article and is highly insulting to Scotland. Her main issue was packaged as if it was a complaint about "honorifics" and how the person was normally addressed. As a Scot I feel I am very much more in a position to say who is well known and how they are usually known. Not only was she editing out opening titles such as Very Rev (John Smith) she also edited out from the body of the text ,,, i.e. known after 1866 as Very Rev John Smith... not only was this targeted on all my Moderator articles (several hundred) but she then reverse edited EVERY pre-existing article as well. To me this was both a somewhat horrific sabotage plus showed a degree of severe bigotry.
I had to take a break from Wiki due to a series of family deaths and went back on a few months ago. As I had ceased my church articles I thought the problem had gone away. However I received a message from editor Schwede66 saying I was being removed from Autopatrolled due to a specific article Samuel Blackburn. Whilst it is brief and far from my best article I did not understand the issue. He is fairly well known here and it looked like a gap to be filled (which is my normal wiki objective). However, when I checked the article history I see Melcous raised it as not worthy some months back. I had a bit of a tiff with Melcous on an unrelated issue of her moving Colonel Anne Mackintosh of whom there was one to Anne Mackintosh of which 50,000 share this name, again she said "Colonel" was an "honorific". My deeper concern is that Melcous seemed to prompt Schwede66 to call for my removal from Autopatrol... as any other conclusion is too much to be coincidence.
Back to the Moderators... any way of getting her blocked from touching these she has stripped down around 500 articles--Stephencdickson (talk) 12:16, 22 February 2022 (UTC)

Administrators' newsletter – October 2022
News and updates for administrators from the past month (September 2022).
- Following an RfC, consensus was found that if the rationale for a block depends on information that is not available to all administrators, that information should be sent to the Arbitration Committee, a checkuser or an oversighter for action (as applicable, per ArbCom's recent updated guidance) instead of the administrator making the block.

- Community comment on the revised Universal Code of Conduct enforcement guidelines is requested until 8 October.
- The Articles for creation helper script now automatically recognises administrator accounts which means your name does not need to be listed at WP:AFCP to help out. - Remedy 8.1 of the Muhammad images case will be rescinded 1 November following a motion.

Requesting to re-list deleted Wiki pages (Neal Sherman, TAGeX Brands, RestaurantEquipment.Bid)
Hi there,
My name is Brandon. I noticed that these pages were deleted for unambiguous advertising and failing to meet notability guidelines. I see the original pages must have contained biased and/or insufficient information. I would like to create new pages for each and want to ensure that the pages I submit do not violate any of Wikipedia's policies.

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}
