Edits to Gravedona ed Uniti

[edit]

HI @LIUCstampa1 Its good you've started to edit Wikipedia. I've not reverted your recent edits to this page, but some advice related to the following text:

Gravedona ... is situated at the mouth of a gorge. The handsome Palazzo del Pero with four towers, at the upper end, was built in 1586 by Pellegrino Tibaldi for the Milanese Cardinal Tolomeo Gallio. Adjoining the venerable church of San Vincenzo rises the 12th century Romanesque Baptistery of Santa Maria del Tiglio, with campanile, containing two Christian inscriptions of the 5th century.[1]

Near Palazzo Del Pero is possible to find the old vacation home of Alessandro Volta. Alessandro Volta, used to visit is vacation residence during all his life, also for his honeymoon he went to holiday in Villa Stampa. Villa Stampa was granted to Alessandro Volta by the Stampa family of Gravedona, a noble family at the time. On the wall of the villa you can read engraved on a plaque the dedication to the Stampa family and Alessandro Volta

  • remove the blockquote tags: they are not quotes and this text should not be indented.
  • remove the '...' (incorrect style)
  • the second paragraph you've added has no source. Use the Cite tool to create one.
  • the grammar in the added text is poor (2nd paragraph above). Try: The vacation home of Alessandro Volta is located near Palazzo Del Pero, where he stayed for his honeymoon and holidays. It was granted to Volta by the Stampa family of Gravedona, a noble family at the time. On the wall of the villa is a plaque dedicated to the Stampa family and Alessandro Volta.
  • you link out to relevant existing pages where the linked text is first used. In this case the first use of Gravedona should be the link out, not the second. However, in this case the link is simply to the same page that it is on, so should be removed entirely.

Hope this helps. Limelightangel (talk) 08:08, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
