RailWorks rename?

Hello. If you think the RailWorks article should be renamed, that's fine, but you should follow the instructions at WP:RM#CM (or simply start a conversation about it at Talk:RailWorks if that seems too daunting), rather than creating a second, near-duplicate article and removing links to the old one. What you're doing here is known as a copy-and-paste move, and isn't the way to do it, because it loses potentially years of meticulously-logged page history detail about which editors contributed to the article. You need to follow the process I linked above. If that seems like too much work, just start a thread at Talk:RailWorks explaining why it needs to be moved, and I or someone else will pick it up for you. --McGeddon (talk) 14:17, 3 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, the article can be moved directly, if it would be uncontroversial to do so. Which seems to be the case - I'll take a look at moving it once the Train Simulator (Dovetail Games) article has been deleted. --McGeddon (talk) 14:30, 3 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for patience. My original project was to combine the pages "Rail Simulator" and "RailWorks" in one page. But for reasons of nomenclature, I will not do that.

I don't think so. The {{confused}} template sometimes gets used for this kind of thing, but it's always more useful to say "This article is about X. For Y, see..." and actually tell the reader what the difference is. --McGeddon (talk) 09:24, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
