I don't understand why my page keeps getting deleted. Can you please tell me what I'm missing or doing wrong? I have been referred to WP:NOTWEBHOST which is not helping me at all. Can you please be more specific. Kymirah Media (talk) 15:13, 28 July 2020 (UTC)

Problem Child Soca - Page keeps getting deleted

I'm a Musical Artist Manager. I'm trying to add my artists to Wikipedia and I'm failing miserably. I first created an account called "Problem Child Soca" which kept returning an error that I'm trying to create an autobiography, which I am clearly not but took this as Wikipedia does not like that my User name and the article were both Problem Child Soca. So I then created a second account "Kymirah Media" which is the actual name of my Artist Management company. Now I'm getting a rejection because there is a duplicate. So I logged into the Problem Child Soca account and I think I made a request to delete the account. Will this solve my problem? Or is there more than just the duplicate entry from 2 accounts causing me issues?
- You cannot use Wikipedia for promotion of your artists and your username is against policy - RichT|C|E-Mail 16:19, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
- To further elaborate (I was still in the process of writing this when the above was added and the block was imposed), Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and as such it does not have "pages". Rather, it has articles on subjects which have received coverage from multiple reliable sources which are independent of the subject. It is not a means to promote your clients, and that has never been its purpose. We're not interested in what you have to say about your clients on their behalf, and press releases and PR fluff carry no weight here. If enough major media outlets have written articles about an artist, then they might be considered notable enough to merit an article here based on our notability guidelines for musicians, but from a quick search I do not believe Problem Child Soca meets that standard, and Wikipedia is not here to help him get to be notable. Further, while it is not strictly prohibited for people with a close connection to a subject to edit articles on that subject, it is strongly discouraged for reasons of conflict of interest. If that was your only purpose here, you would be better-served directing your efforts to other media. --Finngall talk 16:38, 28 July 2020 (UTC)

[edit]You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. – Muboshgu (talk) 16:16, 28 July 2020 (UTC)Delete account request

Request to re-activate IP address
[edit]Good day,
I am part of a Musical Artist Management team and we want to add our artists to Wikipedia. I have been trying to create a page for Artist "Problem Child Soca" since Monday with no luck. I first tried creating under user name Problem Child Soca so that my whole team could have access but was told by Wikipedia that I cannot write an auto-biography... which I wasn't in the first place as I am NOT Problem Child but I understood that the user name caused the confusion. So I created a second account under user name Kymirah Media and created the page for Problem Child Soca again. This time the page was deleted because it was a duplicate of user name Problem Child Soca. So I then made a request to delete the Problem Child Soca account and tried yet again to create the Problem Child Soca page. Now it's been deleted I think because I'm using a company name? So I'm 100% fed up, my IP address has now been blocked and need to know if I create an account using my actual given name, using the same content I've been trying to post, will I have issues.
Thanks.
- I am not an administrator with the power to block or unblock users, but speaking as an experienced editor: I think the multiple username issue could be overlooked as an honest mistake if there were no other issues with your editing. However, your purpose continues to be promoting your clients, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, as I have already tried to explain above. Multiple links to Wikipedia's policies, procedures and guidelines have been provided in the messages above--there's a lot of material there, but if you wish to be unblocked, then it's important to show that you have read and understood these policies.
- Again, it's not my call whether you should be allowed to resume editing here (under a new username which represents you as an individual only), but if you're not here to contribute to the encyclopedia, but only to advertise for the artists under your management, then I believe your time would be better spent elsewhere. Thanks for listening --Finngall talk 16:52, 29 July 2020 (UTC)

Hi.... I'm going to need advise then.... my correct account has been blocked due to duplication of this account. If this account cannot be removed, how can I get my correct account re-activated? I'm stuck in a loop.
