Your RFA
I have some good news and bad news for you. The bad news is that your RFA ultimately did not reach a consensus to give you the tools. However, the good news is that it is acknowledged that you are a user in good standing, and that all you really need is some more experience. RFA is by all means not an easy venture; many worthy users have failed it for the first time. In any case, I hope that you will address the issues brought up by those who opposed you, that you might live up to your potential, become a better user, and impress us all with a second RFA in the future. We'll be waiting! Cheers, bibliomaniac15 04:29, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks, it's been an interesting process. I have already started working on some of the issues brought up, hoping I can become a better contributor to Wikipedia. But I don't think I'll participate in another rfa again anytime soon. —Krm500 (Communicate!) 04:39, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
- I am honestly quite surprised it failed. But I suppose I shouldn't be as passes have been getting more and more rare lately as people have been doing pile on voting alot. But hey worth finding out what the community thinks. :) -Djsasso (talk) 04:42, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

- Cool. Well if you ever feel ready I am around. :) -Djsasso (talk) 04:54, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

Hi, you mentioned that Håkan Dahlström had some very good hockey images. I don't suppose that he would have one of the back of Peter Budaj's mask which features Ned Flanders. I've been trying to find a free image of it that I could use on Flanders' page. -- Scorpion0422 03:48, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

The whole challenge thing
Hi, sorry it took me a while to respond to this issue, I was on christmas vacation. I coming to you because it looks like you might be the only one in the discussion that might actually speak one of the languages in question. Were those examples given hard to find? I'm curious as to its normal practice, or if those examples were just rare exceptions. I'm done with the whole diacritic issue: its will never be resolved. Thanks for your help. ccwaters (talk) 20:04, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
Nobody is hiding anything except you
Consider this your warning to stop the deliberate misrepresentations. Gene Nygaard (talk) 22:02, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
- Gene, continued WP:POINT reversions will result in a block to you. You have been told numerous times now, that the hockey project put that parameter into the template to strip out bracketed disambiguators not diacritics as much as you think thats what it is for. It is so things like "Joe Smith (ice hockey)'s stats at the internet hockey database" show up like "Joe Smith's stats at the internet hockey database" like they should. -Djsasso (talk) 22:11, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
Notability of Got Event
A tag has been placed on Got Event requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Alan.ca (talk) 05:38, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

WP:FILMS Questionnaire
As a member of WikiProject Films, you are invited to take part in the project's first questionnaire. It is intended to gauge your participation and views on the project. At the conclusion of the questionnaire, the project's coordinators will use the gathered feedback to find new ways to improve the project and reach out to potential members. The results of the questionnaire will be published in next month's newsletter. If you know of any editors who have edited film articles in the past, please invite them to take part in the questionnaire. Please stop by and take a few minutes to answer the questions so that we can continue to improve our project. Happy editing!

Redirect of P.K. Subban
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on P.K. Subban, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because P.K. Subban is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting P.K. Subban, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. You wrote "Ovechkin has been known to put the achievements of his team before his personal accomplishments" and "he refused to talk about the milestone" while the article you used as a reference did mention this at all or only mentioned something vaguely similar. —Krm500 (Communicate!) 14:43, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Hi Krm, I've been going through our FLs since many of them were promoted before the featured list criteria had been strengthened, and found that many of them have fallen below standards. For the most part, only minor fixes are required, and your two lists for Frolunda are no exception (nor half of my Calgary Flames lists, heh). Specific to these lists, the leads require some work, and inline citations. Specifically "This is a list of...." as part of the lead is now considered poor quality. Reviewers are now looking for opening statements/paragraphs along the lines of List of Colorado Avalanche players. I am hoping you can take care of these, as they are part of about a dozen lists that I've identified as being in need of work, and hope to upgrade so that we can avoid the unnecessary drama of a featured list review. Cheers, Resolute 20:21, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
- Absolutely, I'm looking forward to creating some 60+ season articles(...)! —Krm500 (Communicate!) 22:38, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
- Truthfully, I don't think that matters any. It's the leads and the citations that would cause someone to request a featured list review. Season articles can come later... but yeah, good luck with that. I think I spent just under a year writing 28 season articles for the Flames... and I tend to be mildly obsessive-compulsive at times. ;) Resolute
Also, I like the Gabriel Landeskog article. 16 and playing in the SEL. Pretty good. If you can expand the prose to 1500 characters (its about 450 now) in the next couple days, that would be an ideal candidate for a main page appearance at WP:DYK. Resolute 06:05, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
- Would love to do that, but unfortunately I can't find enough reliable sources (plenty of blogs though). He was spectacular in his second game, he hits like a tank. I think he became the second youngest ever to play in Elitserien, beating Mats Näslund by a week or so, but no one has even mentioned anything about this, only that he became the youngest in Djurgården's history. I'll see if I can dig something more up, and get to work on those lists. —Krm500 (Communicate!) 21:14, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
Jordan Schroeder notability status
Named NCAA rookie of the year. Led 2009 USA World Juniors team in points. Passed Doug Weight's record to become All-Time leader in assists for USA in World Juniors Championships.
Does he satisfy the Notability Standard YET??--Bauerhoc9 (talk) 03:25, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry but IMO no, since he didn't win any award but was ranked first by a newspaper, please don't try to manipulate what the articles says because then I'm not really interested in helping you. Have some patience, if he actually wins a major award he will pass or you'll have to wait until draft day since he most likely will be picked in the first round. Regards. —Krm500 (Communicate!) 16:56, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

jus to clear it up, you dont like the width or jus the use of % in place of em? Triggerbit (talk) 00:10, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
hmmm sorry if im a lil slow here but is there a standardised em then? i dont really care if em or % is to be used, its just that i like the width to approach upon the infobox, covering i guess 3/4 of the page. mainly so im not looking at a half blank page in the stats section.. Orphaned non-free media (File:Arenan-dag.jpg)
Thanks for uploading File:Arenan-dag.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Thomas Larkin
Please consider the fact that he is the first ever NHL draft pick from Italy.
Italy is a significant country in team sports (soccer, basketball, volleyball) and this is their first ever draft pick in hockey despite joining the IIHF more than 80 years ago.
I think in this case the rules are too rigid.
Being a Canadian (a country which produces hundreds of thousands hockey players) and reaching some milestone in a low level minor league like the UHL would warrant inclusion in Wikipedia, but being the first ever draft pick from Italy would not?
I think inclusion criteria should be matched with the respective hockey history of each country.
If you delete Larkin, I'm afraid that there are many players who should be deleted.
For instance, a number of British players have a Wikipedia entry because they had a career that was significant in the context of UK ice hockey and gained loyal fans, but rather anecdotical internationally.
My suggestion: players from low level hockey countries who have received a special accolade (i.e. Yujiro Nakajimaya, the first Japanese to be invited to an NHL camp, or Ivan Gracia, first Spaniard to play Major Junior hockey) should be granted exemptions to be featured on Wikipedia.

re: Ulf Sterner
Not sure why you felt the need to revert my edit. My edit stating the being the first European player in the NHL was "an accomplishment he is perhaps best remembered for" is entirely correct. It's not a pov issue.--Freshfighter9 (talk) 21:08, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
- Oh lets see here, Ulf Sterner, one of the greatest Swedish players of all time, a legend in most clubs he has played in, who is one of the all time game leaders for the Swedish national team, a winner of Guldpucken and named best player at a world championship, hmmm yea he is probably most famous for playing a few measly games in the NHL... It is most definitely POV since it is you who make that statement, without any reliable source to back it up. The previous revision was fine, it neutrally mentioned that he was the first, not that it was the accomplishment that defined his career. —Krm500 (Communicate!) 22:14, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
Ask anyone on this side of the Atlantic about Ulf Sterner's status as "a legend" and I'm sure they'd beg to differ. Your assertion has pov issues written all over it. If anyone outside of Sweden has even heard of Sterner (likely not), it would be as the first Euro in the NHL. You may not like it, but that's the way it is.--Freshfighter9 (talk) 02:10, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
- That is your POV bullshit, you are the one pushing it by putting it in the lead with that demeaning "perhaps best remembered for". I suggest you read Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons before making another edit to Wikipedia. —Krm500 (Communicate!) 09:39, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
So sorry, your highness. I was unaware that Wikipedia is yours. lol--Freshfighter9 (talk) 16:31, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
- I don't make the rules, the community does. While we're at it, also read Wikipedia:No personal attacks before making another edit... Please. —Krm500 (Communicate!) 19:04, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
I removed a line which accused a player, crudely and without citation, of being a "deucebag". It's an insult I had never even seen until now, and I believe whoever added it meant "douchebag", which is still hardly appropriate for Wikipedia. The removed line was vandalism. I don't see how my edits can be construed as vandalism by an conceivable stretch of the imagination, unless you have something against Michal Travnicek. In fact, it seems like all of 98.161.45.207's edits to this page were vandalism. He changed the phrase "his vision in the eye was reduced to 10%" (which makes sense in regards to an eye injury) to "his vision for antiques was reduced by 30%", which is nonsensical.

You might be in a little immediate luck... One of my back issues of the Hitmen game day magazine from 05-06 has a feature on the Hitmen's two European players that year: Lukas Vantuch and Petterson. It's not really in depth, but notes that Petterson had dreams of reaching the NHL when he came over, his expectations of North America and that his favourite player was Theo Fleury (guess his small size led to that). From an 06-07 magazine, I have that he co-won the team rookie of the year award with Brett Sonne. I've marked the articles, so once you get your sandbox organized for his article, let me know and I'll add what they provide. A few stories I've come across that may help you; I trust you've seen the first. I can't read it, but I would guess you can. ;) [1].
- Hitmen press release announcing his signing in Frolunda
- HF article from 2006
- Calgary Sun story from 2006 playoffs
- Injury that cost him a month in 2006
- Reflecting on the 2006 playoffs.
Hope that gives you a good basis for a section on his time in Calgary. Cheers! Resolute 02:17, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

wtf
I called the other ip user a vandal for putting that fake "Greg Kates" name in there, after the slash i reverted the incorrect consensus and provided a link to a discussion regarding naming conventions on Slovenes. I was then reverted and called a vandal by an IP user who posted a link to a convo that says "Naming conventions are not applicable to articles that use "Slovene" or "Slovenian" in the body text only. For these articles, either term is allowable, as long as its usage is consistent.", so i assumed bad faith on the part of the ip user, so reverted in turn.
How is that ME not using good faith? --Львівське (talk) 07:52, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
- I'm sorry I partially misunderstood the situation – I did not notice the vandalism you reverted since I only saw the lead here, and that is where I stopped while browsing back on the "← Previous edit" link. I'm sorry for that (can I blame it on being tired from staying up all night watching hockey? :) ), but you did in fact call another IP a vandal here over the Slovene/Slovenian issue, which is not ok, even though he initiated it by calling you a vandal (which I warned him for). —Krm500 (Communicate!) 08:12, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Right, as it stands now, your nom isn't going to pass. It seems that all of the opposition is based out of the missing lower half of the hockey player. Let's not turn this into an edit war, please. I didn't make any edits myself, prior to starting the discussion on the talk page. I would appreciate it if you would respect myself and others enough not to edit anything related with the spelling of his name until we've finished discussing the issue on the talk page. Thanks!

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Patrick Elias. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing.

- To be honest, consensus is for that to not be on the page, not sure how it lasted that long without someone noticing and removing. -DJSasso (talk) 21:26, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
- That's fine, but we're (supposed to be) in the middle of discussing it on the talk page. This behavior is completely inappropriate. One way or another we'll figure things out eventually. In the mean time there's no hurry, and definitely no need to edit war over the issue. A self revert would be a terrific response, here.
— V = I * R (talk to Ohms law) 21:44, 13 January 2010 (UTC)- The page is actually protected at the moment for 3 days so neither of you can edit it. Assuming you aren't an admin. Let the move debate play out and then we can move on to talk about the specific sentence. -DJSasso (talk) 21:47, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
- That's been exactly my point the whole time, here. The edit warring is Krm500's poor response to the move request, which is what prompted the unfortunate warning and the report.
— V = I * R (talk to Ohms law) 21:53, 13 January 2010 (UTC)- I would note you both reverted each other. So in my view you are equally at issue. So the page is protected so you can both take it to the talk page. -DJSasso (talk) 21:54, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

Hello! I am currently working on the "Swedish Project" and "Award and Prizes"'s article Nobel Prize. Since it is a top importance article and not even GA class I am trying to make it a GA article and perhaps further after that. However, I'm in a state now where I could use some help. I need a new pair (several pairs in fact) of eyes to look at the article and the talk page for improving prose, debation of different things and some sourcing. Do you got any possibility to help out? Well, the reason to why I changed the table to my custom designed one (with the same design) was that the template is out-dated. It shows only the first 31 played games. --Heymid (talk) 09:24, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

In regards to "Reverted good faith edits by WhisperToMe; Look up the MOS on how images should be placed. (TW)) (rollback | undo) "
I had just realized that the HQ was actually in Solna, not in Stockholm proper, so I was going to remove it when I realized it had already been removed!
Anyway, out of curiosity, I'll look up the MOS to see which passage you are referring to... WhisperToMe (talk) 00:16, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
- Does this have to do with having too many images, or does this have to do with avoiding stackups? (I am not asking for the image to be restored -- I realized that it belonged at Solna Municipality instead -- I am just curious about which part of the MOS you were referring to) WhisperToMe (talk) 00:19, 11 February 2010 (UTC)

Teemu Selanne
I may agree with you adding the modern may not be the best course. But Im not seeing the basis of the articles that say he has the record. Ive added a reliable source to the Teemu selanne talk page that says Hary watson had 37 goals (which would have teemu tied at this point in time, but can change in the next game)in the 1924 winter olympics (HHOF). In adition, theres sources that say he had 9 assists on top of those 37 goals but nothing concrete (I dont trust the source fully, but its been used around from time to time). Bottom line, its still premature i beleive to add that he has the record. If youd like to revert modern though again, Im fine with that though, I wont put up a fuss. My view is its just pre-mature thats all. Ottawa4ever (talk) 10:02, 20 February 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, MZA deserves a much better article than the state it is in today... Reviewer granted
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. The Rambling Man (talk) 16:55, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

First Round Template
I noticed that you took the time to remove every single first round template I put up. What is the reason for this? --ilamb94 (talk) 18:05, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
- I believe he did it because the WP:HOCKEY is in the process of switching all the first round templates to succession boxes. For example if you look at Scott Glennie he has a succession box which shows the same information. The hockey project doesn't use navboxes for first round picks, we use succession boxes and are in the process of removing them from all players that still have them. -DJSasso (talk) 18:07, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
- So if I was researching the St. Louis Blues first round draft picks, where would I find the complete list of all the picks? Navboxes show all the picks not just the predecessor and the successor. I just want the average reader to easily be able to research these picks. --ilamb94 (talk) 23:08, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
- List of St. Louis Blues draft picks. Navboxes are only supposed to include articles which would already be included on the page if the page were complete. This isn't the case for first round draft picks. Unfortunately St. Louis is one of the less organized teams when it comes to draft picks. Most teams have their pages more complete. -DJSasso (talk) 23:36, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
- Alright, I just want to improve Wikipedia. I will make an effort to try to complete List of St. Louis Blues draft picks. Is there any resources that you would recommend to me so I can complete this task. --ilamb94 (talk) 23:44, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

General questions
- How did you find my newly created articles Johan Larsson (ice hockey) and Ludvig Rensfeldt?
- Why did you prod those articles? They were drafted swedes in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Don't you think it is notable enough to be an article of them?
- I am sure they will go pro in a soon future.
- Where can I continue this discussion? Or have you already started a discussion, regarding this?
Thanks in advance,
/HeyMid (contributions) 14:48, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
Hi,
- I think I noticed them on the draft article.
- What I think is irrelevant, they don't meet the notability criteria.
- Perhaps, and then the articles can be recreated in their current form with no information lost, you just have to ask an admin to do it.
- You can object to the deletion by removing the prod templates, but then I will AfD them. But before you do that I suggest that you ask other editors for a second opinion, for example at WT:HOCKEY.
Nice work on the articles though, and I'm sure they'll both play pro eventually. Cheers! —Krm500 (Communicate!) 20:55, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
Yes, when they turn pro you can ask me or another admin to undelete them and nothing is lost. Or you can move them to your user space as you have done. Krm just did what most people in the hockey project would have done when they saw them. Basically there are two times of year we end up deleting alot of junior players. The Draft and the world junior hockey championships as people rush to add them without looking to see if they meet the criteria. Don't worry too much about it, its happened to everyone at some point or another. -DJSasso (talk) 19:17, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
- Yea Heymid, having them in your user space is a good idea since it gives you time to work on the articles until the players meet the notability criteria. But it would be a good idea if the original articles were deleted, since they now redirect to your userspace. —Krm500 (Communicate!) 21:06, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

AIK (again)
Hi again! Would you personally agree on moving AIK (ice hockey) to AIK IF, again? I personally agree with both you and DJSasso; AIK Ishockeyförening is abbreviated AIK IF, but AIK Ishockeyförening is too long for an article name, and AIK Ishockeyförening is the name of the club. The Gothenburg Opera
The Gothenburg Opera is using the name "GöteborgsOperan" in advertising, even in English. That is exactly what is said in the first sentence of the first paragraph of the text. That does not mean this word should be treated as a headline for the text. 83.250.32.20 (talk) 19:29, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
- Yes it should, please read WP:LEAD. —KRM (Communicate!) 20:19, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
"When the subject is best known by an English title, its alternative names may be included; however, the editor needs to balance the desire to maximize the information available to the reader with the need to maintain readability." Don't try to teach Swedish to the English speaking world. -Ulla — 21:14, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
- Obviously different people interprete WP:LEAD differently. I am inclined to read it somewhat as Ulla does, even if I prefer how I wrote the parenthesis since I think it makes it clearer. KRM, why don't you explain your reasoning personally? 83.250.32.20 (talk) 21:25, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
Ulla, did you bother to read the text above the one you quoted? They use GöteborgsOperan in English and have no official translation, Gothenburg Opera is just a piss poor translation, a correct translation would be the Gothenburg Opera House. However, this does not exist and it's not up to us to decide it either. Gothenburg is the most common name in English for the city, thus the wiki article is named that, but in cases like this or for example IFK Göteborg we go by common name in English and that is not Gothenburg Opera or IFK Gothenburg. —KRM (Communicate!) 23:00, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
- An opera house does not have a name like a trademark, it has a descriptive name, like a church or a castle. Thus, Göteborgsoperan is the Gothenburg Opera in English. If you want to write an article about the opera as a theatre company, now that could be called GöteborgsOperan, but this article is mostly about the house as far as I can tell. -Ulla — 09:28, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- You can say whatever you want but we go by common name which is GöteborgsOperan, even in English. Just like IFK Göteborg and Göteborgs-Posten is the most common name in English, not IFK Gothenburg or Gothenburg-Posten. —KRM (Communicate!) 10:57, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- No, it isn't. The opera in Gothenburg is called the Gothenburg Opera in English, as far as I know. If I'd say "Göteborgsoperan" to any of my friends in the US I am sure they would not understand what I was talking about, and it isn't like its a name as IFK Göteborg or Göteborgs-Posten. -Ulla — 12:05, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
- And there we have it, "as far as I know". A name is exactly what it is, it's even a registered trademark. —KRM (Communicate!) 12:39, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

Hi! What do you do with loaned players? Do you simply hide them in the roster and then un-hide them when they are back playing with the original team? HeyMid (contribs) 18:27, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

Autopatrolled
Hello, this is just to let you know that I have granted you the "autopatrolled" permission. This won't affect your editing, it just automatically marks any page you create as patrolled, benefiting new page patrollers. Please remember:
- This permission does not give you any special status or authority
- Submission of inappropriate material may lead to its removal
- You may wish to display the {{Autopatrolled}} top icon and/or the {{User wikipedia/autopatrolled}} userbox on your user page
- If, for any reason, you decide you do not want the permission, let me know and I can remove it
- If you have any questions about the permission, don't hesitate to ask. Otherwise, happy editing! Acalamari 18:51, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
Not that it probably took much work, but why did you expand this page to simply PROD it? Shootmaster 44 (talk) 20:19, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Hello! I notice your disagreement that HV71 are called "HV71 Jönköping". Had this been a Sweden-only tournament, I would've been fine with you (or anybody else) changing it to "HV71"; however, as this is an international tournament, we should use their known name in international terms, which in this case is "HV71 Jönköping". Please consider restoring the "Jönköping" part. Also, if you still disagree, you should remove the "Jönköping" part in the 2011 European Trophy article too, and possibly also the 2010 European Trophy one. Best regards, HeyMid (contribs) 09:53, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
- I'm going to revert you again if you don't provide a reply soon. But, I've become somewhat skeptical since I brought this issue to your talk page. Although HV71 is internationally known as "HV71 Jönköping", that may be the same as if you write "TPS Turku" or even "Jokerit Helsinki", i.e. the "Jönköping" and "Turku" parts (etc.) may be used to simply indicate where the clubs come from. Also, the reference in the HV71 article is just a link to the Champions Hockey League website, part of the IIHF, and "HV71 Jönköping" there may simply be how they interpret the club name. HeyMid (contribs) 11:59, 9 September 2011 (UTC)
- Heymid we use the most common name in english always so HV71 is correct. -DJSasso (talk) 12:02, 9 September 2011 (UTC)
- Alright, then. I was just skeptical by the fact that the 2010 European Trophy article (I did not write it out) used "HV71 Jönköping" (but also "TPS Turku"). HeyMid (contribs) 12:19, 9 September 2011 (UTC)

Who is Frölunda's general manager?
Hello! Like the header says, who is Frölunda's general manager? Judging from some newspaper sources, it seems to be the club director, but they don't have one right now since Mats Ahdrian has left the organization. I would prefer writing "none currently" or Mats Ahdrian in parantheses. What is your opinion on the case? Thanks in advance, HeyMid (contribs) 20:31, 13 October 2011 (UTC)
- Kenta Johansson is both head coach and sportchef, the term General Manager is no longer used in the organisation, however General Manager is what I would translate sportchef to for simplicity. Also, instead of "none currently" uses vacant ;) —KRM (Communicate!) 22:23, 13 October 2011 (UTC)

Somehow I ended up on a major run of mid-80s Flames articles, and hit up Loob's article today. As you can see, the sections on his time with Färjestad is pretty much abysmal because all of my English sources over-focus on his NHL time and my ability to read Swedish is limited by Google's ability to read Swedish. Do you have any articles or sources that might help expand this article? It seems to me that the first "Wayne Gretzky of Sweden" deserves a GA class article! Thanks! Erik Karlsson
Why continuously delete his current season stats? The season is complete, no more regular season games will be played. Those stats are as complete as they're ever going to be. You can just add the playoff stats later, you don't have to delete everything. Freshfighter9talk 02:13, 26 April 2012 (UTC)
- Well it's been a long time since I was active here so I don't know if the guidelines have changed, but I recall that we used to update the stats once all play was over. IMO just adding regular season stats and leaving the playoffs blank looks incomplete and can lead to confusion, maybe leading readers to think that the player, or players team, missed the playoffs. IMO it's better that readers get 100% accurate stats rather than poorly updated ones, in this instance it's obvious looking at Karlsson's NHL totals that something is inaccurate since it doesn't add up, which usually becomes the case when IP's start updating during the season.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Krm500 (talk • contribs) 11:09, April 26, 2012 (UTC)
- If the stats are incorrect as you claim, I'd recommend stating so in your initial edit summary in order to avoid confusion, or correcting the stats to make them accurate. There is nothing official saying you have to wait until playoffs are completed, this is just your personal opinion of how things are to be done and it seems clear that you don't want other editors going against your wishes. I won't revert you again but I hope you understand that you don't have a right to tell other editors not to revert your edits.Freshfighter9talk 11:05, 26 April 2012 (UTC)
- Well since my opinion is that stats shouldn't be added until the entire season is over I obviously have no interest in correcting the stats before then. But I'm not acting on a personal agenda, I'm following what I believe to be the consensus reached at WP:HOCKEY. Since reverting me would mean adding incorrect information to the article I think it's my duty to advise you not to revert me, but feel free to edit the article with the correct stats. Maybe we should take this discussion at WT:HOCKEY instead, to see what the consensus is nowadays? —KRM (Communicate!) 12:08, 26 April 2012 (UTC)
- No need for that, I don't have a problem with waiting until the playoffs are done. I think the definition of "end of the season" should be clarified though, just to avoid future confusion. Is it the end of regular season or when the player's team is eliminated from the playoffs? At any rate, a quick glance tells me Karlsson's 2011-12 stats weren't incorrect, it was a previous season's stats. So the stats are wrong whether I revert your edit or not. I'll try to correct those later when I get a chance. Freshfighter9talk 13:48, 26 April 2012 (UTC)
- I'd go with eliminated from the playoffs. I just saw that the totals didn't add up, just guessed it was the stats updates during the regular season that had caused it. —KRM (Communicate!) 16:30, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

Hey I am just doing some cleanup on commons. And you uploaded commons:File:Marcus Vinnerborg.jpg and I was curious if he is a linesman or referee in that picture. It looks like he has linesman stripes on his sleeves but I am not familiar with that style officials uniform. -DJSasso (talk) 20:15, 4 December 2012 (UTC)
- No he's a referee, the SEL used those grey uniforms for a season or two before going back to traditional black and white stripes. —KRM (Communicate!) 00:12, 5 December 2012 (UTC)

Eurohockey, Hockeydb or Eliteprospects as reliable source?
Hi Krm! Looking at the Linus Persson article, it says he played twelve games with Hammarby before being loaned to AIK (in 2004-05). However, both Hockeydb's and Eliteprospects' respective profiles for Linus Persson state he actually played thirteen games with the team. Eurohockey says twelve games. (see the "External links" section.) What do you think? Which source(s) is more reliable? Regards, HeyMid (contribs) 13:25, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
- Nice catch! I never trust hockeydb for euro players, but in this case they are right. In my experience Eurohockey are most accurate with historic stats from the 90's and earlier, and EP more accurate with more modern stats. If their stats don't match, for players playing in Sweden I check the historical database at historical.stats.swehockey.se. Cheers! —KRM (Communicate!) 16:28, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
- I think, as you say, that we should go by the SIHA's stats at stats.swehockey.se in cases such as this one. But actually, the thing is, Eurohockey.com counts the SuperAllsvenskan games separately from the Allsvenskan games (the four best teams from the Northern league and the Southern league respectively, qualified to SuperAllsvenskan after Christmas). For some reason, they don't consider SuperAllsvenskan as (directly) part of Allsvenskan. I understand why you didn't notice this. But no harm done :) Regards, HeyMid (contribs) 17:51, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
- Oh, ok. But IMO we can just keep it on one line here, like EP and Hockeydb does, we do the same with J20 stats for top 10 for example. —KRM (Communicate!) 22:59, 28 May 2013 (UTC)

Hello Krm500-
I have recently nominated List of Detroit Red Wings draft picks as a Featured List Candidate and it is in need of additional reviews. If you could take the time to review the page and offer your comments at the FLC review page that would be a great help.
Also, if you could advise me of other ways to possibly generate additional reviews that would be very helpful as well. I have listed it as an FLC at Wikipedia:WikiProject Ice Hockey, I am not sure if there are other pages that would be good to list it at.
