If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Pauk (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Andrius Domaševičius, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "missing periodical" error. References show this error when the name of the magazine or journal is not given. Please edit the article to add the name of the magazine/journal to the reference, or use a different citation template. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 18:01, 23 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Did you know nominations

[edit]

Labas, I noticed that you regularly create new articles of Lithuanian personalities that are informative, well-referenced and of high quality. AČIŪ.
I suggest you to nominate your newly created articles in the Template talk:Did you know as once a hook (an interesting note) related with the nominated article is published in a section of the Main Page its number of readers increases significantly for a period of 24 hours. You can find all the requirements (rules) of this procedure here: Wikipedia:Did you know#DYK rules, however the main principles of it are that the newly article: 1) was created in the last seven days; 2) is well-referenced; 3) has over 1,500 characters of prose (ignoring infoboxes, categories, references, etc.); 4) the hook used in the nomination is included and supported by reference/references in the article.
Pay attention that the first five DYK nominations are free, however afterwards in order to submit more DYK nominations you will have to review a DYK nomination proposed by other user for every subsequent DYK nomination of yours (see more information here: Wikipedia:Did you know/Reviewing guide).
I think this article about Andrius Domaševičius you recently created would be a perfect fit for DYK nomination (and it is still not yet older than seven days). By the way, I recommend you to archive your used references in the Wayback Machine as it will protect them from becoming inaccessible dead links in the future. AČIŪ once again for creating quality content about Lithuania and good luck. :) -- Pofka (talk) 21:02, 24 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, here are some additional tips regarding the DYK procedure: thanks for submitting a new DYK nomination about Lithuania. However, it currently has an issue and reviewer cannot pass it as Domaševičius was one of the founders of the party (not the only founder), so please update the hook and I think it will be confirmed. By the way, in the future keep in mind that in the DYK nomination you have to provide a quote from the source which support the hook so that the reviewer could easily WP:VERIFY if the hook is correct, and it should be properly referenced in the article as well (add reference template at the end of the sentence as I done HERE). See my earlier DYK nomination as a proper example HERE. I recommend you to check your DYK nominations regularly once you submit the hook so that it would not be rejected for minor issues.
Additional tips regarding archiving links: It is not required to replace URLs in the article with Wayback Machine links in the references once you have them archived in the Wayback Machine. You can keep the original URLs, but once the link becomes a dead link (I think it is regularly checked by Wikipedia's bots-robots) a template Template:Dead link is added and bots-robots (or other users) will try to rescue the references by checking internet archiving websites such as Wayback Machine. Eventually, new parameters "|archive-url=", "|archive-date=", "|url-status=dead" will be added to the reference template (see more information here: Wikipedia:Link rot#Internet archives).
Additional tips regarding referencing: I suggest you to add reference templates after every sentence in the article so that it would be easy to WP:VERIFY content in the future, especially while using Lithuanian language references. Researching Lithuanian sources for non-Lithuanian users is very difficult (as in your DYK nominations case). Moreover, if somebody will add additional content between the sentences in the future the connection with the reference could be further complicated. So a reference template after every sentence is really useful and necessary in high quality articles. -- Pofka (talk) 11:00, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Andrius Domaševičius

[edit]

On 7 July 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Andrius Domaševičius, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that one of the founders of the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party, Andrius Domaševičius, had his own private gynecology practice, treating poor women free of charge? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Andrius Domaševičius. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Andrius Domaševičius), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Mirrors

[edit]

Howdy - I saw your edits and additions at Ričardas Gavelis. Quick note: 'alchetron' is one of many Wikipedia mirrors - sites that copy our content under license. This one typically copies older versions of the articles here, and then sprinkles them with stolen images. Just in case you run into it again, there's no need to re-word our articles, and we can't use them as a source for obvious reasons. Sam Kuru (talk) 21:32, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, thanks for the message, I'll keep that in mind. Thought the page needed a revision anyway KrivisKrivaitis (talk) 11:57, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi thanks for creating this article. When we translate or borrow from other language wikis it’s a requirement to acknowledge the source. The best way to do this is to include it in your edit summary (e.g. “translated from lt.wiki”) and there’s also a translation template you can add to the talk page. I’ve added it for you. Happy editing and please leave a message on my talk page if you need any help Mccapra (talk) 17:32, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for creating Jonas Žilius-Jonila

[edit]

Thank you for creating Jonas Žilius-Jonila!

However, for you own benefit, I would like to tell you that currently, the shortened footnotes (sfn) you added, don't point to the books in bibliography. The bibliography books are supposed to be in the style of template:cite book, just like in this edit here that I did to the article, so that when the reader clicks on the citation while reading the text, he will be taken directly to the book in the bibliography.

I hope this helps! +JMJ+ (talk) 11:18, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
