Hello Kristin Ann Johnson. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Kristin Ann Johnson. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Kristin Ann Johnson|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Bobby Cohn (talk) 21:19, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Kristin Ann Johnson, you continued to edit after receiving this message. Please respond, thank you. -- asilvering (talk) 21:38, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Kristin Ann Johnson, can you clarify if all your contributions are paid? Or are you intending to edit here as a regular editor as well, and are only being paid for Draft:Lightspeed DMS? -- asilvering (talk) 22:06, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I plan to edit as needed. Keeping to historical information about the company. 173.26.1.164 (talk) 22:38, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Don't forget to log in when you make edits! And, sorry, can you please clarify again? I understand you mean that you plan to edit the Lightspeed DMS article as needed, but can you tell me whether all of your contributions are paid? For example, edits like Special:Diff/1264162491? -- asilvering (talk) 23:20, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edit reversion

[edit]

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 21:33, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Lightspeed DMS, from its old location at User:Kristin Ann Johnson/sandbox. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. asilvering (talk) 21:36, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Alith Anar. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Proctor, Minnesota, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Also, please avoid WP:PUFFERY which includes laudatory, subjective adjectives such as "charm" and "convenient". Information icon Hello, I'm Asilvering. An edit that you recently made seemed to be generated using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or other application using such technology). Text produced by these applications can be unsuitable for an encyclopedia, and output must be carefully checked. Your edit may have been reverted. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. asilvering (talk) 22:08, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
