Thank you for inviting me to give my opinion on this conflict, but I've already spent a lot of energy in the past working on these subjects, and I have to admit that I got bored at some point. Arguing with people who clearly aren't here to build a neutral encyclopedia but to promote a single point of view would be worthwhile if there were outside support, but there aren't many people interested in these Brda tribe articles (because it's not a topic that matters to many) and, above all, most administrators don't care about such obvious tag-team behavior. There was a report a few years ago, very well done, but it came to nothing anyway. Krisitor (talk) 13:08, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry to hear that. Let's hope this dispute resolution will provide some good results! Setxkbmap (talk) 13:34, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe you should still write down your POV, because they are not. They are completely ignoring the DRN, i guess just ignoring it until it goes away?
I'm not sure if they have to answer for it to goes through Setxkbmap (talk) 18:52, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I'll try to find the time to write a proper statement. Krisitor (talk) 07:12, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I talked to one admin proposed by wiki as well, he agrees that citation is needed for the origin part, he also recommended RfC. I'm not gonna let anyone keep an article as a hostage :) But i think that even if you write something down for the dispute resolution, it will fail as the other side is not willing to discuss. Which is also good for me, because we would have proof for that.Setxkbmap (talk) 07:20, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing from certain pages (Kuči (tribe)) for a period of 2 weeks for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  ~ ToBeFree (talk) 00:11, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Contentious topic warning regarding Eastern Europe and the Balkans

[edit]

Hello Alltan and Krisitor,

This is a formal warning, which will be logged at WP:CTLOG/2024#Balkans_or_Eastern_Europe_(CT/EE) and can be formally appealed if you believe your behavior doesn't justify a warning (Wikipedia:Contentious topics § Appeals and amendments).

Further disruptive editing such as edit warring in the contentious topic area of Eastern Europe and the Balkans may, without further warning, lead to a block from editing, a topic ban from the area or an interaction ban from users you are persistently in disputes with.

You had been notified about these procedures and the requirement to "edit carefully and constructively" in this area in July 2023 (Alltan) / in July 2024 (Krisitor, with an apparently ironic/mocking response in the edit summary of the removal of the message).

Best regards,
~ ToBeFree (talk) 00:21, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@ToBeFree, I will not appeal as I recognize that my behavior warranted a warning. Now, I see that you have also blocked me from editing the Kuči (tribe) page for 2 weeks, but I can assure you that I won't even edit it after that. I'm not here to edit war, but to improve Wikipedia and even to create articles, in the little free time I have to do so. And I have neither the time nor the energy to fill out a report on the group of editors that I believe controls the Kuči tribe article and other Balkan-related pages. But I maintain that there is obviously a big problem here and the administrators are blind to it. Anyway, if you or any other administrator feel that these latest comments, or others in the past, should be sanctioned by a definitive blocking of my account, then let's do it, but personally, I have a clear conscience because I know (and other editors will fully agree with me) that this traveling circus has gone on long enough. Krisitor (talk) 08:21, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Krisitor, thanks and no worries. You describe a very frustrating situation for which normally WP:AE and WP:ANI exist. Voicing these concerns is not the issue to me, attacking those you are concerned about would be. At least in theory, there's always a way to achieve the same goals in civility. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 22:52, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Bijelo Polje Municipality, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Others.
