Standard formats and climate maps
[edit]Hi Tommy, Perhaps the folks at Wikipedia:WikiProject Climate can help you with some of these formatting issues. All caps are not tolerated here at Wikipedia per the Manual of Style (WP:MOS) and using a technicolor chart just because you can is also not constructive, nobody wants to look at something as jarring as that. There are conventions for background colors used here, please look into them. Thanks, JesseRafe (talk) 14:20, 16 May 2017 (UTC)
Source of climate data
[edit]This edit to Belmar, New Jersey added climate data, but provided no source. Where are you getting this data, as it must be added to the article. Alansohn (talk) 15:03, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
Thank you for adding climate date to so many articles. I have a few questions about the climate data you added today to Bensalem Township, Pennsylvania. You added this link as the source of your data. After following that link, there is only the option to get state and county data, but not township data. To find this, I highlighted Bensalem Township on the map. After that, I retrieved various time series. First, I noticed you added information about snow in your edit, but the only data which seems available is about precipitation. It does not specify if it is snow or rain. Where did you find the data about snow? Also, the map on the source says the elevation is 79 feet. In your edit you stated that it was 106 feet. When did you get this elevation? Thank you. - Please respond to my concern before adding more climate data. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 14:53, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
May 2017
[edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at New Britain, Pennsylvania, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 15:21, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
- I asked you a question above, but you have not answered. To continue adding content after your sources have been questioned is against policy. I urge you to respond. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 15:24, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Newtown Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Magnolia677 (talk) 15:42, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at New Britain Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. You really need to respond to my question about your source. Magnolia677 (talk) 18:36, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
- Actually, let's try to avoid blocks. Let's discuss things at the article talk.
- Please visit: Talk:Bensalem Township, Pennsylvania#Climate data and share your views.
Please stop
[edit]Sorry, I just woke up and did not check your contributions. I see you are adding this climate date to lots of articles. Please stop immediately. If you do not wish to discuss things, you may not simply persist in adding disputed edits like that. The next time you add climate data to an article with that same source, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Please speak up. Don't worry. We don't bite. We just want to know how to use that site. Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 21:06, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
