[edit]The following is unsourced information:

- Katharine Drexel's shrine and body are located in the township.
- Joseph Growden received his grant of land from William Penn. The township celebrated its tricentennial in 1992.
- Interstate 95, U.S. 1, Pennsylvania Turnpike, and U.S. Route 13 all flow through Bensalem. Exit 351 of the Pennsylvania Turnpike (which connects with U.S. Route 1), is located in the Trevose section, about 1 mile from the Philadelphia border.

While this is interesting, we can't use it unless you provide a source. Also, none of this is really trivia, as trivia by its definition is "unimportant information" - it therefore shouldn't be in a trivia section but instead the information should be incorporated into the main article. - Tbsdy lives (talk) 11:35, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
Bensalem (actually Andalusia) was the site of the Red Lion Inn, established in 1730. It was visited by John Adams (and probably other founding fathers) in August 1774 (The Works of John Adams/ Easton Press 1992/ pg 357) and on October 13th 1776 (The Works of John Adams/ Easton Press 1992/ pg 433). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.39.174.48 (talk) 23:18, 31 July 2012 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: moved. Uncontroversial — I believe the move protection was a slip. Favonian (talk) 18:32, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
Bensalem Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania → Bensalem Township, Pennsylvania – There is only one Bensalem Township in the state of Pennsylvania. As such, there is no need to include Bucks County in the title. MikeM2011 (talk) 22:45, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
- This should be non-controversial and shouldn't need a full move request. Powers T 23:54, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
- I agree and was going to move it, but it seems to be protected from moving??? --Born2cycle (talk) 19:15, 13 July 2011 (UTC)

Pennsylvania townships
[edit]I realize that category talk pages are not the usual place for discussions, but I think this is the best place for this discussion. It covers all of the townships in Pennsylvania. There has been much discussion lately about how township names in Pennsylvania should be titled. Some go for X Township, Pennsylvania. Others want X Township, Y County, Pennsylvania. Of course there are many Washington Townships in Pennsylvania so they and others like it will need to include the county name in the title. The townships in question are the unique ones like Horton Township and Plunketts Creek Township. I think it is best to limit this discussion to Pennsylvania. If other wikiprojects want to do it differently that is fine. The status of townships vary greatly from state to state.

[edit]Recently, content was added supported by this source. I can't get it to work. It just keeps "loading". I encourage Kozmictommy to come on over to this talk page and help sort this out, otherwise, the content ought to be considered unsourced and remain out of the article.
