Speedy deletion of Blu (artist)
[edit]A tag has been placed on Blu (artist) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Ravenswing 13:53, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Your user page
[edit]In my opinion, your user page is not consistent with what is desired - a page partly about yourself, but mostly about your interaction with the Wikipedia community. I don't feel strongly enough to nominate it for deletion, but I urge you to look at the user pages of others to see what is considered appropriate. I did add NOINDEX to the page, so it will not show up in a webcrawler search.--SPhilbrickT 22:47, 5 February 2011 (UTC)
@Sphilbrick: I've updated my user page to be a bit less like my LinkedIn profile and more of a concise summary of my work. I've also summarized my contributions to Wikipedia. Furthermore I've removed the NOINDEX label. Please let me know if it needs more work. Cheers. --Klokie 10:53, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
Your new article needs more supporting references. You claim the group is notable but don't back that up with much support. It doesn't help that your edit summary ("article creation from personal interview and research") implies a breach of the policy on original research. I'm not going to tag the article for deletion, but it's a close call with the article as it stands, and there's no guarantee another editor won't see it differently. Geek Girl Meetup moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Geek Girl Meetup. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and the article depends solely on primary sources. There is a need for secondary sources for significant coverage.. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. JASWE (talk) 06:19, 10 November 2023 (UTC)
