Orphaned non-free media (Image:Uoi logo.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Uoi logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:12, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I proposed renaming Geografiki Ypiresia Stratou to Hellenic Military Geographical Service according to Wikipedia policy. If you would like to comment on the proposal, please do it on Talk:Geografiki Ypiresia Stratou. Thank you. Sv1xv (talk) 18:42, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tymfi

[edit]

Very nice work! Tymfi comes from the Tymphaians, one of the Molossian tribes. The region was also called Tymfaia. Anything you need feel free to ask. For additional info take also a look at the relevant section in Vikos-Aoos National Park Alexikoua (talk) 16:25, 26 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No problem at all. I will try to make some additions and it will soon become in good shape.Alexikoua (talk) 20:33, 28 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Erotokritos, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Extant (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. December 2017

Information icon Hello, I'm Iryna Harpy. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Richard Sakwa seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page.
I understand that you added content in good faith, but please don't confuse neutrality with WP:GEVAL as it is not the same as WP:BALANCE. Kuzio is a high profile expert in the area whose assessment of Sakwa's work should not be obfuscated by burying it amidst a plethora of lower level opinions. If you wish to pursue the addition of such content, please take it to the talk page of the relevant article and start a new thread laying out your arguments according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Thank you!

@Iryna Harpy: Please could you post something along the lines of the above on the article talk page.-- Toddy1 (talk) 20:21, 10 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but I have no idea what you are talking about here. You are wasting your time and time of other contributors. You submitted an RfC. That's fine. Wait a couple of weeks to collect more opinions. My very best wishes (talk) 02:42, 15 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry if my comment was confusing. I was attempting to respond to Irina's rather intemperate comment point by point. I hope you can understand, however, that I also have a feeling that my time is wasted when I devote time and energy to find sources to back my point and what I receive in response are effectively assertions backed with little more than Wikipedia articles and an eclectic mix of WP:WHATEVERCOMESTOMINDNEXT. Point taken re:RfC, I might have been carried away a bit here. Can you maybe also have a look at the alternative formulation I posted in the main thread?Kkostagiannis (talk) 08:30, 15 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ioannina, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Ali Pasha and Arta (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
