Hi MrOllie. Thanks for reaching out. To clarify, I wasn't trying to experiment or ask a question, neither did I need assistance.

I was pretty confident about making those changes to make sure that there was no word suggesting tha SunWuKong was based on a direct inspiration from Hanuman. From the references that were provided, there was no such evidence. The current version is more accurate than the version yesterday. I'm fine with the current version.

Regarding moving the "history" section, I think it's inappropriate to call it history, especially when the so called "history" is super unclear. It is also inappropriate to put such ambigous information near the top of the page.

Again, since the current version doesn't imply that SunWuKong is directly inspired by Hanuman, I can leave it untouched. However, if there's any future version adding this inaccurate information, I will remove it again. Kingzwbq (talk) 05:40, 22 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @魔琴. Thanks for the info! But I'm actually not sure if I should tag him in this case.

If I understand it correctly, the page is currently under pending change protection (added by Daniel Case) and all edits will be reviewed by "pending change reviewer". MrOllie seems to be the only reviewer that monitors this page and he tends to add back the big paragraph about Hanuman, which I think should be deleted. You'll have to go to the article's associated talk page (Talk:Monkey King) and gather consensus support for your change. Wikipedia typically does not remove sourced content without that. In fact, there is an active discussion about possibly rewording that section on the talk page right now. That article sees a lot of drive-by deletions from new editors so protection is necessary.
