King wiston,

  1. Please stop adding more material to the Australia infobox. It is more than long enough already, and most of what you have added is not important enough to be included in such a summary. If you think something really is worth including, then discuss the sitation on the discussion page, Talk:Australia before making any more changes. JPD (talk) 13:49, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  2. Please avoid adding material in capital letters unless it is absolutely essential. "FEDERAL CONSTITUTIONAL MONARCHY" is not essential. Green Giant (talk) 06:10, 7 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

More Australia

If you add God Save the Queen as the anthem, or add the honorific HM to the Queen again, you will be blocked. They are both against style and consensus. --Stephen 10:29, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:SSA41083.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 05:30, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging for Image:SSA41110.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:SSA41110.JPG. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We requires this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:SSA41110.JPG is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Australia, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. You have previously been asked not to add this information on several occasions. AussieLegend (talk) 13:32, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not delete content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Australia, without explaining the valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Bidgee (talk) 02:49, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Consensus

[edit]

When the community agrees with something, you are required not to break that consensus unless consensus itself changes. Until that consensus changes, do not add monarchy/gg to Prime Ministerial infoboxes, as they will continue to be removed whenever you add them. Thanks. Timeshift (talk) 04:54, 6 July 2008 (UTC) Wikipedia consensus discussion has resolved that we will not have the GG/Queen in the infobox, and that overrides all. Thankyou. Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to India. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. KnowledgeHegemonyPart2 15:43, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi King wiston, you seem to be uploading images from "unconfirmed websites". Please note that generally images on websites are covered by copyright. Which website(s) are you getting these images from? Somno (talk) 05:25, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rather than edit warring over including photos in the Perth article, please try to address people's concerns. Where are the images from? How can we verify whether your uncle took them? Somno (talk) 05:58, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

An image that you uploaded or altered, Image:2660385237 bd28b28e74.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. Perth, Western Australia

[edit]

I don't dispute that your uncle took the photo you have uploaded for the Perth, Western Australia article, but its copyright status is currently disputed. Please take care of the image status before adding it to any article because, as it stands, it is going to be deleted and will leave the article without an image. An image's copyright status needs to be clear before it is added to an article and there's really no reason to replace one that is free with one that has questionable rights at the moment (again, not questioning you, just stating what is on the image's page). I would also suggest bringing up changing the infobox's photo on the talk page before doing so. Another image of the skyline could probably be added to the article itself especially since another image is already in Commons. Pinkadelica (talk) 06:00, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Repost of AWDT

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on AWDT, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because AWDT was previously deleted as a result of an articles for deletion (or another XfD)

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting AWDT, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. This image is clearly not in the public domain, since the cut-off for photographs in Australia is currently around 1955, and this photograph shows the completed bridge (which was finished in 1959). I'm deleting it. - Mark 11:24, 4 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Image:AustraliaP39b-5Dollars-(1969)-donated f.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:AustraliaP39b-5Dollars-(1969)-donated f.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Image source problem with Image:SC2 140-1-.gif

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:SC2 140-1-.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 08:58, 16 October 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Bidgee (talk) 08:58, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
