Requested move

[edit]

{{subst:Rename: IngentaConnect|IngentaConnect}} I am attempting to rename/move this page to "IngentaConnect", I've even created a disambiguation at the header to help, no joy yet. Please advise. Kilo4alpha (talk) 15:06, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Ingentaconnect_logo.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Ingentaconnect_logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 18:33, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File:Publishing_technology_plc_logo.jpg

[edit]

I have tagged File:Publishing_technology_plc_logo.jpg as {{orphaned fairuse}}. In order for the image to be kept at Wikipedia, it must be included in at least one article. Otherwise, it will be deleted in seven days. Melesse (talk) 18:34, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free files in your user space

[edit]

Hey there Kilo4alpha, thank you for your contributions. I am a bot, alerting you that non-free files are not allowed in user or talk space. I removed some files I found on User:Kilo4alpha. In the future, please refrain from adding fair-use files to your user-space drafts or your talk page.

  • See a log of files removed today here.

IngentaConnect‎

[edit]

I appreciate your efforts in writing this article, but the article about IngentaConnect already exists. It is called Ingenta. Ruslik_Zero 16:19, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I moved also the page that you wrote back to User:Kilo4alpha/IngentaConnect. In addition, when you move a page from your userspace to the article space, you should uncheck the box labeled Move associated talk page to avoid moving the associated talk page to the article talk space. If you have further questions you can ask me. Ruslik_Zero 18:50, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Indentation

Hi Ruslik_Zero thank you for your edits, however you are mistaken about Ingenta and IngentaConnect. Ingenta is a company that is no longer in existence. InentaConnect is a web publishing platform used by millions of people in the scientific, medical and academic communities - which is one of the reasons why its important IngentaConnect have its own page. To help distinguish between the now defunct company and the publishing platform, I have added disambiguation to the IngentaConnect page I drafted. I appreciate your assistance removing the block on naming the page I've drafted to IngentaConnect. I appreciate your help.Kilo4alpha (talk) 19:53, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Both articles use the same text at places, and Ingenta actually provides more information about IngentaConnect. Ruslik_Zero 17:43, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Your the expert Ruslik_Zero so before I make this change I'm consulting you on next steps. I continue to be believe it is both important and justified that IngentaConnect have its own page. If the blocking reason to deny this is that the Ingenta page includes some information on IngentaConnect then as a next step, can I reduce the information on the Ingenta page to elimiate the overlap? Will I then be permitted to create an IngentaConnect page? Please advise.Kilo4alpha (talk) 20:27, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
