EastEnders "others"
[edit]Hi, I'm a bit concerned about the accuracy of the characters you've been adding, as you added Chris and Edie Smith to the 1987 list with dates of October 1987–26 May 1988 and October 1987–31 May 1988 respectively, but Edie already has a list entry in that page with the dates 12 May 1987–31 May 1988 and Chris already has a list entry on the 1985 page with the dates 7 May 1985 to 2 August 1988. So while I appreciate that you are increasing these sections, I'm wondering what sources you're using and if they are actually that reliable, if your source missed out Chris Smith's episodes from 1985 and 1986, and Edie's episodes from May to October 1987. Also, please be careful that characters you add to "others" don't already have sections in lists - these were not the only two - Eddie Hunter was one, and there were others. Also, we only list named characters, not those who are credited by their job title, such as the "gorillagram" you added to the 1990 page only four hours after my removal with an edit summary explaining it (do you not use the watchlist to see the changes made to pages you're interested in?). Thanks :-) anemoneprojectors 12:36, 13 January 2017 (UTC)
- @AnemoneProjectors: Hi I have been using BBC Genome going through each cast list for every week 1985-1987, that is why some date only give the month as I cannot be a 100% sure of the date with Genome only listing cast across two episodes and not specific episodes. I do also cross check on IMDB to see if a cast it has details on a cast member that appeared on the Genome cast list within that week that Genome mentioned.
With regard to Eddie Smith I failed to notice the main listing of him above which is strange as I did search the page for Mr Smith as he was originally credited as but should had really just searched smith. I do check my watch list but not every day as I am not here as much as I use to be. I will hold from the expanding characters until I can find a better way of added, them maybe putting them in a sandbox first User:Kelvin/Other characters then double checking everything before publishing. Thanks Kelvin 101 (talk) 15:24, 13 January 2017 (UTC)
- I thought it was going to be Genome, which we know is reliable but I guess not every credit is listed. I'm happy with what you've done so far and I've fixed the things where someone was listed twice, so not such a big deal but just wanted you be be aware! Well I'm glad you use the watchlist, sometimes I wonder if not that many people actually do. It's probably just me but with EastEnders, I don't want to miss an edit to any article, so if I intend to edit something I usually check my watchlist to see if it has appeared or check the history first - I just wondered if you had noticed where I removed the gorillagram the first time, that was all. If you're too busy to check then go ahead and make the changes, if there are any problems you know I'll fix them :-) The sandbox could be an idea but it's up to you, I'll put it on my watchlist anyway! Some of the characters for whom you had only first names are listed on List of past EastEnders characters with a last name, so I've added them. Also, I noticed one or two are listed under departing the year after you found a last appearance for them. Originally we got a lot of them from Walford Web or Walford.net but the former is now only a forum (I think) and the latter no longer exists. Maybe we used IMDb but I doubt it. So there could be more appearances for some of them. Oh the other thing was, I think it was in 1985, there were two market traders, but I think they appeared in many more episodes than you have found for them, and perhaps even appeared in episode 1, as like Tracey and Winston, they were long-running named extras. I think I added notes in their list about it, but without knowing for sure there's nothing to change. anemoneprojectors 16:38, 13 January 2017 (UTC)
famousbirthdays.com is not a reliable source
[edit]Hi Kelvin 101. I'm in the process of removing famousbirthdays.com as a source from Wikipedia, because it's not reliable (See Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard/Archive_153#Is_famousbirthdays.com_a_reliable_source_for_personal_information). I noticed that you've added it, and wanted to make sure you understood why it's being removed. If you disagree, let's discuss it. Thanks. --Ronz (talk) 17:45, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
@Ronz: Thanks Ronz, I had seen famousbirthdays.com before on other articles so assumed it was reliable. I will try and find a better source. Thanks Kelvin 101 (talk) 20:51, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks. If you find any general source, I'd certainly like to know of it. For someone like Ted Reilly, who has only a few years of only minimal notability, I'd look for a biographical paragraph/sketch in popular media. --Ronz (talk) 16:58, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

EastEnders production codes
[edit]Hi, I wondered how you know these numbers are actually production codes used in the original production? I had a little look on Getty at other things other than EastEnders and I'm not entirely convinced it's actually the BBC's own production code. But if you know otherwise let me know. However I'm just not sure we need to include them anyway, as they seem pretty meaningless. anemoneprojectors 23:28, 25 February 2017 (UTC)
@AnemoneProjectors: Hi looking at various past scripts I matched them up to their Getty numbers, below is a few examples

Albert+
[edit]Hi, I guess you never saw my draft for User:AnemoneProjectors/Albert+. I've merged what information I could to the article Albert sustainable production certification that you started. EastEnders: 20 Years in Albert Square
[edit]Hi Kelvin, I'm just wondereing if you by any chance own the book EastEnders: 20 Years in Albert Square. If not it's fine, but I'd like to find someone who does and I know you have some of the books. Or if you could give me a list of the books you do have, that would be cool as I might ask you to look up some information if that would be ok. anemoneprojectors 10:56, 13 April 2017 (UTC)
- @AnemoneProjectors: Hi yeah, I don't mind doing doing checks. I have that one and have listed all my books below.
- EastEnders: The Inside Story
- Public Secrets: EastEnders and its Audience
- EastEnders Special (1989 Annual)
- The EastEnders Handbook
- The EastEnders Programme Guide
- EastEnders: The First 10 Years: A Celebration
- Essential "Eastenders" Scripts: Models for Writing (Student Book)
- EastEnders: 20 years in Albert Square
- EastEnders Annual 2009
Thanks Kelvin 101 (talk) 20:10, 13 April 2017 (UTC)
- The Inside Story, The First 10 Years and the 20 Years book are used quite a lot in references on quite a lot of articles but without page numbers. Basically the citations are lacking page numbers, so it would mean quite a lot of work to find the pages the information is from and then correctly citing it. I don't know how you feel about the possibility of taking on this task, would you be up for it? If I had the books I'd happily do it myself! I want the books, actually... anemoneprojectors 21:47, 13 April 2017 (UTC)
- @AnemoneProjectors: I don't mind, I actually rather enjoy research. I will make a start this afternoon. Thanks Kelvin 101 (talk) 00:24, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
- Wow thank you for that offer. In the EastEnders article I changed how the citations for books work so the books are listed in the bibliography and then each reference to a page number links to that book, and I think this should be done for the other articles that use these books. I would say the main article is the best one to get sorted, as we both want it up to a good standard and citing page numbers is important, but if you wanted to continue to other pages, you'll probably find most of the early characters use the books, other than that I don't know! It's a massive job, really! anemoneprojectors 08:59, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
- @AnemoneProjectors: I have made a start I am using this sandbox User:Kelvin 101/EastEnders book references as it easier to see what we need when foucsing on one book also Google book search is useful as well as keywords can be used to find the page numbers and then I can can confirm by looking at that page. Although after a while i seems to stop showing the pages numbers as the proberlery want you to buy the book. Thanks Kelvin 101 (talk) 20:52, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
- That is really good, thanks. I forgot about Google Books, though usually when I try to look up something the book isn't available! Do you want me to do the citations if you find out the page numbers? As the referencing is different... anemoneprojectors 09:16, 15 April 2017 (UTC)
- @AnemoneProjectors: Yes please. Thanks Kelvin 101 (talk) 10:38, 15 April 2017 (UTC)
- I added the references in your draft where you had provided page numbers, hopefully you can see how this works, when you click on a reference it takes you to a page number, then click that and it takes you to the full book reference, it saves repeating the references to the books. anemoneprojectors 10:59, 15 April 2017 (UTC)
- Actually once you've done the EastEnders article could you do the episodes drafts afterwards? The early articles especially have a lot of references to the books. Thanks :-) anemoneprojectors 11:37, 15 April 2017 (UTC)

EE spin-offs

@JuneGloom07: Hi yeah please feel free, the more information that can be found the better. Thanks Kelvin 101 (talk) 18:31, 4 June 2017 (UTC)
- I really want them all to become articles! I have plans for the EE spin-off lists but I don't want to do anything until those "bubbles" have articles. Because they're not really spin-offs, but "specials". —anemoneprojectors— 19:17, 4 June 2017 (UTC)

@JuneGloom07 and Kelvin 101: Now that we have an original name of "The Frank Butcher Experience", I Googled that and found this, where Mike Reid says "I'm hoping to get a new show where they take Frank out of The Square and it will be called The Frank Butcher Experience. I'll have a new lady, a couple of henchmen and will be doing the usual ducking and diving." But it's dated 2009. That date is obviously wrong because Reid died in 2007 and the golfing DVD they're talking about was released in 2004. So I'm not sure what to do - I'd like to add it but the date issue makes it seem unreliable. I've never come across an issue like that before! — anemoneprojectors 07:13, 5 June 2017 (UTC)

. Thanks Kelvin 101 (talk) 11:47, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
- You think they can do that? — anemoneprojectors 01:20, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
Yeah they have a specific email address for corrections on their contact page. Thanks Kelvin 101 (talk) 05:30, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
- I know, but it's the article date - not a factual correction. I don't know if the online new desk might be a better place to ask why the article is dated 2009 and not 2002 or 2001. @JuneGloom07: what do you think about this date issue? — anemoneprojectors 10:36, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
- It's possible that they updated the article and removed the original publish date, but left in the update date. I think we should wait and see if it's corrected, then maybe email the news desk if not. - JuneGloom07 Talk 12:16, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
- I don't think we should wait any longer than the 8 years that has already passed! Kelvin feel free to send them an email if you like! — anemoneprojectors 00:13, 8 June 2017 (UTC)
- @AnemoneProjectors: I mean wait to see if they correct it following Kelvin's email, before contacting the online news desk. - JuneGloom07 Talk 01:23, 8 June 2017 (UTC)
- @JuneGloom07: Oh, :-) well whichever email address Kelvin uses I'm sure he'll let us now the reply he gets :-) — anemoneprojectors 09:46, 8 June 2017 (UTC)

- @AnemoneProjectors and JuneGloom07:Hi they haven't emailed me back yet but since we are on the subject of spin-offs, I notice there have been references to Dot Story twice this year once on 23 February when Sian Davies compliments Dot on her skin and don't referenced her aunt Gwen swearing by soap and water and would not use any fancy moisturizers and 5 June 2017 when Charlie asks Dot to move to Ireland and she says when was evacuated to Wales it was although the war was not happening. Its it worth having a Continuity section like some other tv series pages have Rose (Doctor Who)#Continuity? Thanks Kelvin 101 (talk) 18:21, 9 June 2017 (UTC)
- I suppose, but only if reliably sourced. — anemoneprojectors 06:31, 10 June 2017 (UTC)
- Dot also mentioned the time she was evacuated in her monologue episode, but again has to be sourced. — anemoneprojectors 07:40, 10 June 2017 (UTC)

- We could reference the video of it that the BBC uploaded.
Its interesting to note that on the rehearsal script it does not refer to Episode 1369 as Pretty Baby as it does in Tony Jordan's pdf script. Thanks Kelvin 101 (talk) 22:59, 10 June 2017 (UTC)
- Referencing the video would be no different to referencing the episode, neither of which state that it is a reference to "Dot's Story", so it's still WP:OR to say that it is. — anemoneprojectors 09:53, 11 June 2017 (UTC)
Hi, as (I presume) you didn't create the original world map, you would need to state that this map was based on whatever the original map was, and use the same licence as the original. I would make the changes myself but I don't know which original file you used - the only time I did this myself was with File:The X Factor world map.png, so you can see what I wrote there for an idea. Thanks — anemoneprojectors 13:16, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
Hi yeah a friend of mine created it for me, I have now made the necessary changes thanks, I did mean to make those changes but it must have slipped my mind. Thanks. Kelvin 101 (talk) 18:40, 14 June 2017 (UTC)

Eastenders
[edit]It appeared that, in creating your Eastenders list, you left out the colon between "User" and "Kelvin 101". I moved it to correct the typo. Robert McClenon (talk) 01:26, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for October 2
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of EastEnders characters (2017), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page James Bye (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Images
[edit]Hi Kelvin, on File:Bobby Beale admits to killing Lucy Beale.jpg, could you replace the source (https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/images/ic/1920x1080/p02kg535.jpg) with the actual page on which the image is displayed? Also for any other images you might have uploaded (I already found one earlier). Image source should never be a direct link to the image, but the page you found it on. I couldn't find the exact image through Tineye, or I'd have done it myself. Thanks. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 09:33, 11 December 2017 (UTC)
- This includes File:Alison Slater meets her transgender son Kyle Slater and Stacey Branning (3 May 2016).jpg and File:EastEnders Episode 3952 Stacey Slater's Confesion.jpg, however, the latter appears to be from Wikia, which should not be used to source images, therefore please could you find a different source for that one. Thanks. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 09:55, 11 December 2017 (UTC)
- @AnemoneProjectors: Done thanks for point these issues out. Thannks Kelvin 101 (talk) 17:50, 11 December 2017 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for December 26
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Jill Marsden (EastEnders), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sam Mitchell (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
