== Welcome! == thanks for the message, but i've never been so confused in all my adult life with this process. i'm a disabled person and wiki is easy and resourceful to read. however creating a page is a nightmare for me. too many options all seemingly disconnected. im disappointed and frustrated with the process. sorry don't mean to hurt anyone but this has not been a good experience at all for me. i truly thought it would be as easy as using the search box and hit enter. i'm totally confused with trying to create a page edit/add content for my grandfather. tutorials are making it worse for me. sorry please accept my apologies. just not happy with this. signing off now. kind regards ms. kelley

It's okay. Is it possible to delete and remove my entire account from wikipedia? I have all of the original sources (news paper articles) in my possession. Of course i don't have any control over a publication that cannot be found online after 20 years. Yet anyone can verify facebook, amazon, and legacy.com. I listed the references as printed on the original resource. The articles are posted on the Kelly's Nite Limit Facebook page for the past 4 years. All references that were listed for wikipedia are related to Mr. Clifford "Schoolboy" Kelly Sr. All references are specifically about him. The Times Union (Mr. Chris Viola) of Jacksonville, Florida interviewed Clifford Kelly on Jan 18, 2004 at Kelly's Nite Limit during his 50th year of business. His obituary is listed at Legacy.com as originally reported in the Gainesville Sun on August 11, 2006 https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/gainesville/name/clifford-kelly-obituary?id=25840711.

His memoir titled "The Indigenous Biography of Cleo Kelly" is on sale now at amazon.com ISBN:9798878101400 (Paperback), ISBN:9798878896115 (Hardcover) also available in E-book(amazon.com/dp/B0CVVW3M6B). The manuscript was registered with the LOC: Library of Congress (Electronic Copyright's Office) on October 23, 2023. It was accepted and approved on 11/22/2023 Registration number:TXu2399389. The LOC Law and Literature Division catalog number is LCCN:2023923810. The number is listed on the copyright's page of his memoir. Cleo Kelly is his adopted name as listed on the 1930 US Federal Census for Tarvers, Burke County, Georgia. He changed his name to Clifford Kelly after the Great Depression Era as submitted to the Social Security Administration in March 1939. In fact it cost me $19.99 for a one day pass to get the article "Where the Blues Play On" online version originally published on Jacksonville.com. I don't expect wikipedia to spend money to verify sources. It's a shame, my grandparents venue was open for five decades and can't be verified?? Over 120 blues icons performed there and I can't honor them with a short wikipedia page. After 70 years, over three hundred people still follow his FB page: Kelly's Nite Limit. Many of them knew him and or attended a live show over the decades. Fast forward to the present day and a simple article about him is denied citing disambiguous and unrelated references that cannot be verified??? There's over 80 photographs from 1954-2004 about him, his nightclub, and the people who were there posted on his FB page (facebook.com/kellysnitelimit/). But it's cool, it's okay. No one's fault, just the nature of the world we live in today. please tell me how to delete my account and his photograph (Clifford Schoolboy Kelly) or can you process the request? Since my article was denied there's no need for an account nor for the use of his photograph on the wikipedia site. My account is less than a day old so it can't be too hard to process the request. kind regards. Ms Kelley Kellysnitelimit (talk) 00:55, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure if you saw my last message- accounts cannot be deleted for legal reasons, as all edits must be attributable to someone. You can request that your account be vanished- your username would be changed to a random string, your user page would be deleted, and things like that. See WP:VANISH for more information. 331dot (talk) 07:23, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Advice on getting started as an editor

[edit]

I see that you have been having a very frustrating time trying to start out on Wikipedia by creating an article. Creating an article is in fact one of the most difficult things to do on Wikipedia, because there are many things that you need to know about how to do it, which a new editor almost certainly won't know. My advice to new editors is that it is best to start by making small improvements to existing articles, rather than creating new articles. That way any mistakes you make will be small ones, and you won't have the discouraging experience of repeatedly seeing hours of work deleted. Gradually, you will get to learn how Wikipedia works, and after a while you will know enough about what is acceptable to be able to write whole new articles without fear that they will be deleted. Over the years I have found that editors who start by making small changes to existing articles and work up from there have a far better chance of having a successful time here than those who jump right into creating new articles from the start.
