About the Yamato-damashii edit

[edit]

Hello. I removed a section about offensive terminology in dictionaries in that article, but you added it back in.

Personally, I am not sure how it plays into the rest of the writing in the article. GoutComplex (talk) 20:37, 15 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello GoutComplex. Sorry to be slow replying. I restored the Yamato-damashii#Definitions paragraphs because they provide useful introductory information for (presumably most) Wikipedia readers who have not have studied lexicography. How do you think we can improve this? Keahapana (talk) 20:45, 17 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Making it more apparent that Yamato-damashii is seen as demeaning to some in other East Asian countries. GoutComplex (talk) 00:37, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Good idea. I'll see what I can find in Japanese-Chinese dictionaries. Keahapana (talk) 21:48, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Huanjing bunao

[edit]

Hi! So I noticed two significant issues with this new article as written:

  • Lack of inline citations
  • Claims that the practice usually or always entails retrograde ejaculation. This needs some really good sources as every source I’ve seen on the practice says it shouldn’t happen (to be distinguished from the release of non-sperm-bearing pre-ejaculate and other clear glandular fluids).

Cheers, RadioactiveBoulevardier (talk) 06:45, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for your perineum correction and comments. I don't use endnote referencing because given my increasing age-related health problems, they seem a waste of precious time. Please explain what you're referring to. In the present article (admittedly v. 1.0), "usually" occurs twice and "always" four times, but none seem applicable to retrograde ejaculation. If you have any good sources that say it doesn't (shouldn't?) happen, please add them and revise anything you think is misleading.
I've got a few more references, such as van Gulik's books, to add and will then try to cut down the article. Any constructive help will be appreciated.
Cheers, Keahapana (talk) 22:27, 6 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @RadioactiveBoulevardier:, thanks again for your criticisms. I revised the lead to indicate that huanjing bunao doesn't necessarily result in retrograde ejaculation. Cheers, Keahapana (talk) 20:24, 23 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
