Peer Review

[edit]

I really like this section topic! Its not really something you think of often and I think its useful information to know.

The cited source seems to have great information, but may not be reliable due to it being written by a columnist. I would look into this because like I said, it has great information if you are able to use it!

I would suggest getting some percentages/stats from possible surveys they may have done on campus or just in general on what people use and what the campus officials use to promote their communication. Or maybe just some stats on how many college kids actually follow and engage with their campus media platforms. Is it even useful? Does it reach enough students? Things like that!

I look forward to seeing more of this section! Great start!

I agree with the other reviewer above me, even took alot out from what I was gonna say, haha. Though, one thing grabbed my attention. We all go to a university, right? Why not show some examples of some the posts that LSU puts up on Twitter and Facebook? I follow LSU and a couple of other verified LSU Twitter accounts and you could also show examples of how LSU responds to people tagging them or responding to a tweet. Not all the time are they spreading information, but interacting with their followers, most of the time in a humorous sense.

Peer Review Summary

[edit]

Everyone gave really helpful advice to help improve our section. I added an additional resource, this time from a scholarly article that includes percentages and stats from many conducted surveys of college students and their social media usage. I also edited the wiki voice to make it seem less like an essay and in more laymen terms.
