March 2020
[edit]Hello, I'm MrOllie. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Building information modeling have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 20:48, 18 March 2020 (UTC)
How is that an advertisement? Can you clarify that? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Karkimahesh (talk • contribs)
- You added a section which simply lists a group and calls it an 'important step'. All this serves to do is promote that group. - MrOllie (talk) 21:11, 18 March 2020 (UTC)
The page list the name of country and the work done in the individual country to establish BIM and I wrote the name of the organization that is working to establish BIM in the country Nepal. So, how is that an advertisement?
I wrote as: Currently, the use of BIM in Nepal is in its infancy. However, important steps have been taken to move the BIM forward. Nepal BIM Forum[1] (NBIMF) a non-profit organization, is working on various areas of BIM mainly, Research, Implementation, Standards, and Education.
How would you phrase it? Karkimahesh
- I would phrase it however the secondary source I was using phrased it. Without a secondary source to cite, I wouldn't add it. - MrOllie (talk) 21:56, 18 March 2020 (UTC)
