I just want to know why the image must contain a spoiler. Any other image of the gameplay can do just as good, and using an image from the sidescrolling portion of the game would represent the game better, since the majority of it is in that mode. - A Link to the Past (talk) 05:38, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- Nobody ever said that the image must contain a spoiler. However, it doesn't have to not contain a spoiler either. If you have a better image to use in the article, feel free to replace it; if you don't, don't remove the current image as it is perfectly fine. Kariteh 09:18, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- Besides me, someone posted a complaint on the talk page about the use of the spoiler image. That is not perfectly fine. - A Link to the Past (talk) 15:47, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- His complaint is as baseless as yours. It's WP:UGH. Kariteh 16:38, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- It is NOT "UGH". Both users simply do not want a spoiler image. It's no more appropriate than a screenshot revealing the true murderer of the last case in either Phoenix Wright games.
- Regardless, it is a screenshot of a boss battle, and a boss battle does not accurately depict how the game is played at all. - A Link to the Past (talk) 01:40, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

FFVI Mobygames link
Are you not familiar with MobyGames? Vranak 12:58, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- Please re-read WP:EL. The FFVI page is a Featured Article and has not use for a MobyGames link. Kariteh 13:06, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

- "[...] pages could contain further research that is accurate and on-topic [...]"
- e.g. more screenshots, full credits, cover & cartridge art, aggregate magazine and respected website reviews & scores, user scores, peer-reviewed user reviews, extensive trivia section... shall I keep going? There's a MobyGames link for most other games on Wikipedia, featured or not, and I'd like to know why you think FF6 should be an exception. Vranak 15:06, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- It should be an exception because WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS and because this is the consensus agreed upon and followed by the Final Fantasy WikiProject. If you disagree, talk with the WP:FF, not me. Kariteh 15:08, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- Alright my son, I may just do that. Vranak 15:28, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- Kariteh is right in this case -- the Mobygames link doesn't at all add anything compared to what the article does. That's not true for many games. This was debated on WP:CVG for a bit, and the consensus was that it should only be added if it's useful.
- Kariteh needs to learn how to use edit summaries, though, rather than just blindly reverting/changing things without explaining why. ♫ Melodia Chaconne ♫ 16:10, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your interjection, but doesn't what I said earlier still stand, i.e.
- more screenshots, full credits, cover & cartridge art, aggregate magazine and respected website reviews & scores, user scores, peer-reviewed user reviews, extensive trivia section
- These are not covered nor should be covered in the article, so why not provide a link to Moby? I just don't get it -- I have to assume that people like Kari are either ignorant of the fine work that goes on at MobyGames, or want to believe that Wikipedia covers everything worth learning about a topic, or perhaps they have some sort of thing against MobyGames or its users, or maybe they just watch certain pages like a hawk and prefer to revert than seek to understand why someone would think such an addition would be useful. Oh well, I don't care that much, leave it how it is. Cheers kids. Vranak 18:52, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Vandalism
I read that info on Final Fantasy XIII ON Wikipedia the other night! Also I have found other information about the two known characters in Final Fantasy XIII, and I was merely trying to add known information. Sorry if this offends you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Taliesin2 (talk • contribs) 17:46, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
FF music article
Sorry about that, but if I see small mistakes, I just make some quick corrections and can't be arsed to cite any sources (especially if the original claim couldn't be arsed to cite sources as well)nor bring it up in the discussion page where it might take days until someone replies. I've put up enough sources in the discussion page now, so please change it back.

Organization hidden comments
They weren't meant to be shouting - many editors completely ignore those comments and vandalize with their own speculation, so it's meant to make it more visible. The way it is now, you wouldn't be able to pick it out unless you were looking for it.
Granted, the bit about Roxas was a bit pissy, but I've gotten tired of people calling me a "moron" for letting it be spelled that way.KrytenKoro 17:49, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
Metroid article consolidation
Could you help do one of those articles for deletion, and suggest that they be merged into the series article for the Metroid (series)? I tried to boldly merge them and work on them like I have with [[Ghostbusters (franchise}]], but got reverted. The non-notable article are all of the non-game articles except for Samus Aran. Judgesurreal777 00:32, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

- I was thinking, should we do an article for deletion and transwiki the 3 character articles? That's what Deckiller and some others were discussing before he left. They seem to be totally set for a fan encyclopedia but not this one. Judgesurreal777 05:46, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
- Well yeah you can do it. The current discussion could be enough but an article for deletion would make the process go faster and with a more "official" consensus. Kariteh 08:50, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

Stubbornness Some users cannot come to agreement with others who are willing to talk to them about an editing issue, and repeatedly make changes opposed by everyone else. This is regrettable—you may wish to see our dispute resolution pages to get help. Repeated deletion or addition of material may violate the three-revert rule, but this is not "vandalism" and should not be dealt with as such.
Would you care to show me a source that backs up your warning about my so-called vandalism? Because I don't see anything on the page. In fact a user more seasoned than yourself has verified that it is indeed not vandalism, just a case of not seeing eye to eye. How is it vandalism when I am not the only one changing the image? I think you are abusing your position. 71.210.138.237 23:17, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, I'm just noticing now that the way you do things around here is quite questionable according to your discussion page...I understand now. I'm not the vandal here. 71.210.138.237 02:52, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

About TTN...
It's not defamation. I believe TTN's behaviour was vandal-like (even if not necessarily intentional vandalism). More than once, he turned perfectly valid articles into redirects without discussion. -- Stormwatch 20:39, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- You said he lacked "fucking common sense". That's clearly defamatory. Kariteh 20:40, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- Stating an opinion is not defamation. IMO what he did was vandal-like. -- Stormwatch 20:47, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- What he may have done is totally irrelevant. You uttered an opinion which is defamatory, and this could result in you being blocked (regardless of the other people's attitudes) if you do it again. Kariteh 20:50, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- Fine, I read Wikipedia:Vandalism and what he did is not vandalism under this definition; but I still think his behaviour is harmful, since he is deleting valid content. -- Stormwatch 21:00, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- Again, his behaviour has nothing to do with what I said about you. It's a different issue. Kariteh 21:05, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- Alright, alright, I've already apologized to TTN. -- Stormwatch 21:11, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Comment
Hello, I have sent you this message because I have removed 2 subjects on your problems with the article template for the Vegeta article. Though I have already explained my Reasoning in my edit Summary I would like to give you a more detailed explaination. The first is of expansion. The article does not need much expansion and its shortness is due to extreme merging and cuts. The only part of the article that needs expansion is the plot summary which is going to be a while because we want to make sure it doesn't turn out like the terrible plot summary of before. The second is of notability. Not only has the character been around for a good 70% of Dragon ball he has played a major role in it as well. Also the fact that the character has had a article for some time now is also another factor. In all I hope you aren't offended by my actions and I hope that we can continue to edit the subject article. DBZROCKSIts over 9000!!! 22:33, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
Xbox 360
Hey, just wanted to find out you undid all my entries of Xbox 360 Achievements? I wanted to create a section for it on each game's page, but I was told by other Wikipedia users that its not important enough and that it should go into external links. And now oyu are removing it from external links? Just wanted to find out what Im doing wrong. Thanks. --UaneReade 11:03, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- It doesn't meet the WP:EL. Kariteh 11:41, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- Sure it does. See "What should be linked" section for example: "Sites with other meaningful, relevant content that is not suitable for inclusion in an article, such as reviews and interviews." What part of the WP:EL doesn't it meet? --UaneReade 15:02, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Help merging Characters of Kingdom Hearts
Hi, I was informed that you had helped in the merging of the various FFVIII character pages. I believe you're already aware that we're trying to do the same with the Characters of Kingdom Hearts article to get it up to GA. I was wondering if you could provide some guidance or insight into the process, as we're kind of at a loss as to how to get it going; what info to include, what info to condense, and all that stuff. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. (Guyinblack25 talk 15:31, 12 September 2007 (UTC))
Thanks for the help
Thanks for helping me become a better wikipedian. Also the Star Ocean: Till the end of time walkthrough i added, is meant to be on strategywiki, but as you know schools have it blocked. i was hoping someone could put it into strategywiki for me. thanks. castlevaniamaster1 12:34, 14 September 2007 (UTC) Also referring to my comment about the phantasy star series, They are very similar (Star Ocean 3 and Phantasy Star) i thought people might like to know that.
Son Goku (Dragon Ball)
I have a few questions: why did you change the name Kakarotto to Kakarot? And is it just me, or is there a "cruft conspiracy" on the Goku page? Why do these new users, Peter Vogel (talk · contribs), BSDB (talk · contribs), and Ken shoryuken (talk · contribs) keep reverting to the WP:CRUFT revision? Aside from Ken, they have been warned about plot junk yet they keep re-adding it, and none of these apparently new users usually leave edit summaries. Did you notice any this? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 18:10, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
- I've changed Kakarotto to Kakarot since the latter is (according to what the article said at least) the official name used in English versions. This also cleans up a small redundancy: Kakarot (カカロット, Kakarotto) instead of Kakarotto (カカロット, Kakarotto). As for those people who keeps reverting, they'll get tired of this soon enough. It's crazy how they disregard policies and refuse to have any kind of discussion though... Kariteh 21:49, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

FIV
I agree it can be expanded even if its a Featured Article, I just worry about adding cleanup tags to a Featured article, it might encourage someone to FAR the article over minor things. Judgesurreal777 22:24, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
- Really? I don't think someone would seriously think about putting a FAR just because of this... Their FAR wouldn't go very far. Kariteh 22:33, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
Super Mario RPG lists
Currently, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars has two lists pertaining to it (List of characters in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, and List of locations in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars). User:TTN decided it would be best to merge the lists into the main article and split Smithy Gang into those articles. I recently merged Smithy Gang into the list of chatacters by removing the non-notable characters, and I have asserted that a cameo section in the list of characters is valid, per Wikipedia:Trivia sections and Wikipedia:Handling trivia that uses Alex Trebek#Cameos as a good example. I have suggested that we rename the articles per Wikipedia:Requested moves#Requesting potentially controversial moves to something along the lines of Characters of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars and World of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars or Mushroom Kingdom (Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars) just like Characters of Final Fantasy VIII and World of Final Fantasy VI or Gaia (Final Fantasy VII). I believe if these articles are to evolve beyond a non-notable list, they should be renamed. For example, List of Final Fantasy VII locations was merged into Gaia (Final Fantasy VII), because a World article is notable, but a simple list of locations is not. That is why there are other secions of the article to make it a World article. It simply has not been renamed yet.
TTN believes the citations in the development and reception sections of the list of locations, books and magazines, are trivial sources. When I added that the 3D perspective of the game is reminicent of Equinox to the main article, TTN removed it since my souce was "the opinions of the Nintendo Power player's guide writers". Although it was actually Nintendo Power magazine, I do believe a magazine is a reliable source, and I gave a page from Next Generation Magazine which also said the same thing. In addition, I was surprized that TTN said that it was from the players guide, since he claims to own the players guide for the game. He has not verified this, since I asked him for citations in May, "Could you look in the back of the Player's Guide and tell me what “types” of … Magic? I forgot what they call it in the game … well, anyways, what types of Special Attack or whatever it is (actually, could you find out what it's called?) there are? I remember some vaguely when I owned the guide like “Fire”, “Jump”, “Electricity?”, etc. Could you provide a citation, like the page number with a quote in context?" TTN replied that he was going to "get to it" (User talk:TTN/Archive 5#List of locations in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars). TTN claims the player's guide is "at the bottom of a box that's behind at least five others in a cramped space". Seeing that TTN did not recognize that the page was not from the player's guide when I provided a scan of the page in question from Nintendo Power shocked me. However, I have continued to assume good faith by not questioning TTN's honesty.
Per Wikipedia:Consensus#Consensus can change, I have offered five different reasonable, temporary compromises that might integrate my idea with TTN's.
- Go over the list of characters so we can delete non–notable characters
- Rename the articles by following the steps at Wikipedia:Requested moves#Requesting potentially controversial moves.
- Cut down the geography section list of locations by cutting it into the regional maps the adventures use when traveling from one to another. I can get pictures and write the fair use rationals, and someone can cut down the text that has no citation and does not allude to other media.
- Write the concept and creation and reception sections for the list of characters
- Write the concept and creation section for the main article
TTN rejected my compromise because it still keeps the articles. I agreed I would consider a redirect, but Wikipedia:Article size does not allow that, since the list of locations is currently 82 KB long. Instead, I agreed to help cut down the geography section that is the bulk of the article, but TTN rejected that as well because TTN states, "I am not interested in working on the article in regards to improving it." and "get past this "having sources automatically means that this information is good" mentality." TTN states, "I don't think they have or will ever assert notability." I have replied with, "Wikipedia is not a crystal ball, so if you don't think the articles will ever assert notability, we cannot yet know this, per Wikipedia:Arguments to avoid in deletion discussions#I don't like it.
Would you please take a look at Talk:Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars and give us your thoughts? Taric25 00:59, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Fire Emblem Goddess of the Dawn Japanese Boxart.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Fire Emblem Goddess of the Dawn Japanese Boxart.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 19:41, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

I saw that you unploaded a reduced version of the image and figured you didn't want the image deleted, so I overhauled the image desciption page and marked it not orphan, for use as a citation of it's CERO rating, just like an image linked in Final Fantasy VII. I then added that citation to Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. You're welcome. ☺ Taric25 07:10, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

FL Main page proposal
You either nominated a WP:FLC or closed such a nomination recently. As such, you are the type of editor whose opinion I am soliciting. We now have over 400 featured lists and seem to be promoting in excess of 30 per month of late (41 in August and 42 in September). When Today's featured article (TFA) started (2004-02-22), they only had about 200 featured articles and were barely promoting 20 new ones per month. I think the quality of featured lists is at least as good as the quality of featured articles was when they started appearing on the main page. Thus, I am ready to open debate on a proposal to institute a List of the Day on the main page with nominations starting November 1 2007, voting starting December 1 2007 and main page appearances starting January 1 2008. For brevity, the proposal page does not discuss the details of eventual main page content, but since the work has already been done, you should consider this proposal assuming the eventual content will resemble the current content at the featured content page. Such output would probably start at the bottom of the main page. The proposal page does not debate whether starting with weekly list main page entries would be better than daily entries. However, I suspect persons in favor of weekly lists are really voicing opinions against lists on the main page since neither TFA nor Picture of the day started as weekly endeavors, to the best of my knowledge. Right now debate seems to be among support for the current selective democratic/consensus based proposal, a selective dictatorial approach like that used at WP:TFA or a non-selective first in line/calendar approach like that used at WP:POTD. See the List of the Day proposal and comment at WP:LOTDP and its talk page.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/tcfkaWCDbwincowtchatlotpsoplrttaDCLaM) 18:50, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
