Our discussion on Talk:Grindcore
[edit]Hi Karen,
I'm letting you know that I've reported our exchange on Wikipedia:Wikiquette alerts. I've begun to find your conduct rude. Aryder779 (talk) 20:41, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
- You are everything wrong with Western society.

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please remember that all editors have something to add to Wikipedia. Any article must contain referenced/citeable information. BMW(drive) 09:18, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Hi
[edit]Hi Karen,
It occurs to me that one reason we haven't been getting along is that I suggested that the deathcore article be merged with metalcore. There might be a slight misunderstanding: I didn't mean to suggest that deathcore be "snuffed out". My thought was that articles on Wikipedia tend to have higher prominence when they are longer and more comprehensive, and to that end, it seemed sensible that the research existing on the deathcore page be assimilated to the metalcore page. I didn't know that deathcore had such a fractious history with AFDs and such, and I never would have advocated any of its sourced information being deleted. In fact, I contributed some of the historical info, months ago. In any case, I retracted the suggestion almost immediately, so I don't see that any harm was done. I also apologize for my suggestion of sock puppetry: I hope you understand that because our introduction occurred while you weren't logged in, I was a bit suspicious.
I'm pleased that our debate has focused on reliability of sources as of late, as I don't think either one of us knows much about the actual personality or character of the other.
best, Aryder779 (talk) 15:43, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, my deathcore suggestion was a coincidence, spite wasn't my intent. I should have looked over the talk page and realized your contributions.
- Glad we understand each other. Aryder779 (talk) 18:27, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
