Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Otaku, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but we cannot accept original research. Original research also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. —Preceding signed comment added by MythSearchertalk 01:44, 24 July 2011 (UTC)

If you read the above paragraph carefully, you can see which article it is about. The edit you reverted is completely OR, if not vandalism, and is very far from any sources available. The first edited sentence is already a completely bogus claim that contradict the sourced material in the same article. It is also in a very poorly syntax, starting new lines in the middle of a lot of sentences with no apparent reason. I can be 100% sure that you will not be able to find reliable sources for that complete edit. Partial sources for part 3 of the edit maybe possible but quite implausible, yet it will still need a lot of original research to have the whole part stay. —Preceding signed comment added by MythSearchertalk 07:54, 24 July 2011 (UTC)

Your request for rollback

Hi Kangaroopower. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! FASTILY (TALK) 19:24, 26 August 2011 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Agent kangaroo.gif

Thanks for uploading File:Agent kangaroo.gif. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 03:07, 1 September 2011 (UTC)

Your custom userboxes

I just want to let you know that I have edited them a bit to fix the Category usage. This is mainly so your userpage won't look like a userbox page itself. Don't worry, I made sure that they still work the same. LikeLakers2 (talk | Sign my guestbook!) 18:14, 10 September 2011 (UTC)

Paul Spiring

Re this [1]: I don't see how this is unconstructive. The removed citation was to a search result - a list of occurrences of the subject's name in a regional newspaper - used as citation for the statement that the subject is viewed as an authority on a topic. This is original research, not a valid secondary source. The same goes for the biographical details: LinkedIn is not a secondary source. 81.155.127.32 (talk) 23:33, 17 September 2011 (UTC)

Hi Kangaroo power. I restored my researched Snow(musician) page after a vandal removed all of the sources. Thanks for your help;.--whimedywhama

Please be careful

Hi there, Kangaroopower. This edit you reverted wasn't vandalism at all. Not only was it made in good faith, but it removed blatantly biased and unencyclopedic text from the article; by reverting the edit, you were restoring that inappropriate content. Also, here you removed an image that somebody added to an article (that actually turned out to be a copyvio, so not a problem). Please be more careful in the future, and remember that an vandalism must be indisputable if you're going to revert. Thanks, Swarm 23:33, 1 October 2011 (UTC)

Sounds good. I've never used Igloo, but if it doesn't let you write a custom edit summary that can definitely be problematic! Regards, Swarm 23:39, 1 October 2011 (UTC)

License issue with File:Agent kangaroo.gif

Hi, I've noticed that you're using the image File:Agent kangaroo.gif on your userpage and need to tell you the licensing permission is incorrect. I've gone over to the source at the Phineas and Ferb wiki and the original user (Diovos) only licensed it under fair-use and not CC-BY-SA as you have tagged it. Though this is a derivative image of Diovos', it still remains under copyright and cannot be used on your userpage (see WP:USERPAGE#Images). Due to this policy and the erroneous license, I've replaced the image on the subpage you've transcluded from and updated the permission to reflect its correct licensing status. Be aware also that the image may be deleted if it isn't used in a mainspace article, for more information on this issue, see WP:RFUI. Any questions feel free to reply but please make sure it's here and not at my talkpage. tutterMouse (talk) 03:43, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for informing me of this. I had no idea of this and the only reason I licensed it as CC-BY-SA is because that's the license all wikia content falls under. I've requested deletion of the image and template and removed the template from my userpage. Thanks once again. Best, --Kangaroopowah 04:52, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

Hi. When you recently edited I'll Be Home for Christmas (1998 film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mexican (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

National Institutes of Hydrology

I've removed your A3 speedy deletion tag from National Institutes of Hydrology. I assume that, out of the list of items that are eligible for A3 speedy deletion, you meant to have it deleted under "a rephrasing of the title". This does not apply in this case, because the article has more in it than just the words "National Institutes of Hydrology", as it goes on to state, in that one sentence, what that institute is. You may PROD/AfD the article for some other reason if you wish.--Slon02 (talk) 02:24, 30 December 2011 (UTC)

Parkville High School

Please be more careful when you revert edits and leave warnings. Take a look at this edit [ http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Parkville_High_School&diff=next&oldid=443128401 ] and your recent edit [ http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Parkville_High_School&action=historysubmit&diff=469149753&oldid=468887068 ]. I'll restore it to the earlier state where it said Student population, not Mexican population. Dougweller (talk) 21:49, 2 January 2012 (UTC)

Sorry. I didn't take notice of the Mexican population part and my main goal in that revert was to add the stats back. I'm assuming that most of my revert was correct but the fact that I accidentally changed student to mexican with the rest of the edit was wrong. Am I correct in saying that? Thanks, -- Kangaroopowah 01:29, 3 January 2012 (UTC)

More or less, but the comments in the student section were out of date and wrong in that the enrollment has not been growing but declining recently - see my changes. [2]. The result of your edits was in fact a complaint to the Foundation by an alumnus who thought you were adding the Mexican bit, so I wanted to sort out the rest also. Dougweller (talk) 05:37, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
Sorry. I hope you can understand my reasoning, which was that since stats were deleted with a summary only saying that it would remove libel, I thought that it was disguised vandalism. Sorry for troubling you and the Foundation. Happy New Year --Kangaroopowah 03:58, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

No problem, it's happened to me. Happy New Year to you also. Dougweller (talk) 16:00, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

The Son of Neptune

Well, I haven't actually read the Manuals of Style related to books, but I'll give you the best review I can otherwise. The phrase "dog-looking" bugs me a little bit, you might want to try "doglike" or "canine" (which is indeed an adjective). Also, try linking to more mythological locations, heroes, etc., especially in the Plot section. This is just a matter of style, but under Major characters I would bold the character name on each list item (again I don't know what the manuals say on the subject). Other than that, besides some minor grammatical things I took care of, it looks good to me. —Airhogs777 TC WS 05:45, 18 February 2012 (UTC)

The article Camp Jupiter has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of any independent notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Page blanked by author

Hi. Though page blanking is usually vandalism and needs to be reverted, it is worth looking first at the page history, because quite often the author has blanked his/her own page, as with Irrelevant Whale just now. In those cases the thing to do is to tag it {{db-author}}. It can be confusing for an author who realises his page is inappropriate and blanks it, if the page is at once restored and s/he is accused of vandalism for the blanking and told it was unconstructive. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 08:11, 31 March 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for your message

Appreciate it. Though my further edit produced this "An automated filter has identified this edit as potentially unconstructive, and it has been disallowed. If this edit is constructive, please report this error." Any help you could offer would be great.
