Jazz drumming
Your work on "Jazz drumming" is a good job, very scholarly and thorough. Just needed a little minor copy editing here and there. (It always helps to have that second--or third--pair of eyes.) "Art form" is two words in every dictionary I consulted, so I changed it (from "artform"). I felt the same about "drumset", but since you're a drummer and I'm not (though somehow I've always been interested in drumming, especially jazz drumming), and you may be aware of certain conventions within the drumming community, I hesitated to change it. A very impressive debut in the Wikipedia community! Keep up the good work. --Alan W (talk) 03:26, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
RealCTY
I can't thank you enough for getting rid of that blasted culture section. It was false, narrow, and utterly horrific. Praise to your work. --Max
I do have one, but I'm just too lazy to sign in.
Stubbed
Couldn't find the stubs list... Thanks for putting them up. And an article so short needs help anyhow, so I'm happy to call it a stub. Trekphiler (talk) 21:42, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

GA review of Saxophone
Thanks for your review of saxophone; I've left a fairly weighty response to your GA-on-hold, which I would love to have your feedback to, on the talk page. Happy‑melon 20:26, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

Peer Review of Jazz drumming
I'm flattered by your request for my comments on Jazz drumming. On the one hand, I hesitate because I have very little technical knowledge of drumming. On the other hand, I do think I am qualified in other respects, I know that a second pair of eyes is always useful in any case, and I'd be glad to help to the extent I can. It's getting late here in the U.S. (not sure where you are), and work has been hectic. But I will leave myself a note to see what I can do in the next couple of days. Come to think of it, something crossed my mind when reading parts of it again a day or two ago, so I will leave one comment now, and then look at it again tomorrow or at least later in the week. Regards, Alan W (talk) 04:07, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Funky Drummer
Thanks so much for adding the audio sample to the "Funky Drummer" article! Is it possible for you to add a sample that includes a portion of the drum break? Just wondering, I have very little experience working with audio files. InnocuousPseudonym (talk) 03:13, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for giving this article some attention, but a few notes for the future:
- Regarding the addition of " to ref names:
- "The ref name need not be placed within quotes unless it consists of more than one word (the wiki parser converts single word quoteless attribute values into validly quoted XHTML)." So you can add them, but you are really just wasting your time. Same with adding a comma between dates May 1 2000 renders the same as May 1, 2005: May 1 2000 & May 1, 2005.
- And with the citation format, you added brackets around one of the years for when a book was published, which is correct for some citation formats. However, the citation format used in this article did not already include () around the dates. Either way is acceptable as long as it is consistent within an article, just as some people prefer Harvard referencing over inline citations. Its all a matter of personal preference, and priority goes to the first style used. This I will revert as it has made it inconsistent with another reference. But again, thanks for doing some copyediting. Aboutmovies (talk) 01:19, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
- No problem, just thought you might like to know about the "shortcuts" if you will. I use to make sure and add " and the comma too! The other item is easy enough to correct. Happy editing. Aboutmovies (talk) 01:26, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi, could you please provide some external input/moderation on the Talk page for the fDTI article -- I proposed deletion of the page and am now trying to work something out with the page's author. I am new to Wikipedia and would appreciate some more input from somebody more experienced... ChristopherHoney (talk) 20:05, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

Per the request of the now indefinitely blocked vandal whose actions you reverted, here's your barnstar. Good job on that one, I can't say I've ever seen a vandal suggest that someone get a barstar for catching them before... Trusilver 00:56, 28 January 2008 (UTC) |

Um... sorry, but... exactly what are you talking about? Basketballone10 22:32, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
- What is it that you are referring to? Could you provide an explanation? Kakofonous (talk) 22:34, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
You put this on my talk page:
"Yes, the link you identified was the one. Another user, more experienced, deleted it.
Jim
Here it is:
I deleted that link...it was exactly what you said it was. Remember, on Wikipedia, Be bold! If you think that there is a useless advertising site link on another page (which I am sure you will find at some point) just remove it! In that same vein, I removed the helpme template from your talk page, as I think I answered your question. If you have any more questions, just talk to me on my talk page. Kakofonous (talk) 01:04, 30 January 2008 (UTC)"
I'm just not sure what it's talking about. Did I think I put a template for something on a page, but really not? Basketballone10 22:37, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, sorry, I remember now. I deleted both the helpme template and the advertising link. I didn't mean that you had done anything wrong. Kakofonous (talk) 22:40, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

I have addressed your concerns at Greg Skrepenak.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 16:31, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for passing the article. You seem to have omitted many of the procedural steps to passing an article. You can see my contributions to see what I did to follow up on your efforts. Going forward you may want to familiarize yourself with the procedure.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 19:13, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- Apart from some unfamiliarity with ArticleHistory and forgetting to add the article to its category on the GA page, did I miss anything else? I have done a few GA reviews before without mishap, I guess these were just some slip-ups. Sorry that you had to mop up after me. Kakofonous (talk) 19:23, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- Nothing else. I just want to make sure you try to do all the things you didn't do this time in future GAs and if you have failed to do so in the past make you aware that you may want to take corrective action.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 19:28, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Reverted your edit to Shady Records
Thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia, but your recent edit to the Shady Records article has be undone. The reason being that your edit made the table sort function unfunctionable, thereby disallowing the table to sort in the manner it was created to do so. Please see the discussion page to see where it's been made note of, and add your opinions before simply changing. Thank you. -- Harish - 17:54, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry bro, didn't mean to sound harsh. Didn't realise I was being like that, though I can see it now. Thanks for understanding though. -- Harish - 21:05, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- Haha. It's nice to end a talk with mutual coolness between ediors. Often they spiral outta hand. I ain't got actual one, but here's a barnstar for being cool -> * ...hope to bump into you again sometime. -- Harish - 21:16, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- WOOOOOOO! My first barnstar... I've waited well over a year for one... it's so beautiful =')... Thanks! I was gonna give the same one right back at ya, but I thought it would be best if I looked into them, and I think I've find one suitable for you:

Re:De La Soul Template
Hmm, I don't use Safari, I have used Mozilla, but on Internet Explorer it looks fine the way I reverted it. If you add those breaks, it looks chopped up. Do you know if there's a way for it to look good on all browsers? - Bagel7T's 04:59, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
- Ahh, the sensitivity of rendering engines—sadly, I don't know. Perhaps there is some template magic that will take care of the problem, which I will look for later. Kakofonous (talk) 05:03, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
- Haha, OK, sounds good. In the meantime, if you want to, I suppose you can add the breaks back in. Being chopped up is better than it running off the page, right? - Bagel7T's 05:38, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the request; I'm very much interested in the Jena Six case, and I'd love to have a look at it – but I'm pretty swamped right now. If you still need another set of eyes at the start of March, please let me know. Cheers and good luck. – Scartol • Tok 12:47, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
