Vandalisme
[edit]The french page is multi sourced by serious sources. Haradh and Nihm are under Hadi control. Your source are not serious. And Jabal Salb is under Hadi control. Stop your pov pushing. Masirah TV are not serious. Please elude of overall changes in Template:Yemeni Civil War detailed map & obvious Vandalism without mentioning the source and certain documents (Contains: Web links, news battlefield, analytical articles, video and pic & etc) that's demonstrator accuracy of those claims.
Anyway, continuation annoying edits certainly can to report to administrators for intervene in this issue ends. --Panam2014 (talk) 18:17, 1 January 2016 (UTC)
- ♦♦♦ I editing always by precise analysis sources and news two sides involved in conflict also, observance percentage of possible errors & consider accuracy news. I must say ALMASIRAH TV is one of best agency of Yemen that covers news and based on their reports much of international media TVs quotes. Incidentally, according to latest received news Nihm District is under full control of Houthis and clashes continues around suburb it.

- Al Massira source is credible and that the Houthis control the district? Also, the card must appear on commons part of the governorate of Sana'a in red (suburban Nihm). So the map of wikimedia commons is false? --Panam2014 (talk) 08:07, 2 January 2016 (UTC)

About Module-editing
[edit]Hello K!lluminati,
first of all, thanks for your work on the Yemeni Civil War Map. I'd actually like to help improving these detailed maps, too. But not only the .svg maps (which I already do) but also the templates, especially the ones where almost no one edits(I'm talking about the templates of the Sudanese and Southern Sudanese Civil War). Now I have one question: How can I get the coordinates of a place I want to add to the map newly? Because especially in these Sudan-map-templates, there are just a very few settlements so far.--Ermanarich (talk) 16:00, 29 March 2016 (UTC)
- @Ermanarich: Hi man, thanks to your benevolence. about find settlements coordinates personally i'm using maps of GoogleMaps, Wikimapia and Openstreetmap as combined. the gist is that be fluent in Arabic so that to could find out what you want particular matters like these. i hope be successful in your work.
- Cheers! K!lluminati (talk) 18:01, 29 March 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for the fast help. You're right, Arabic would actually be important. Luckily, for Sudan I have a very good english source and furthermore there are no arabic letters in the maps. I just have a little problem: I already changed something for the Module:Southern Sudan Civil War detailed map but somehow it doesn't show up on the Template. Do you see any error there?--Ermanarich (talk) 21:32, 29 March 2016 (UTC)
- @Ermanarich: Everything gonna be alright, just a bit i reintegrated to there. sometimes edits show up with a little delay that have to wait. indeed you made right. K!lluminati (talk) 23:21, 29 March 2016 (UTC)
Ok that's very good. Thank you again for your help.--Ermanarich (talk) 00:01, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
It's me again. Not directly a question but rather a plea. As you know the User Panam2014 is really stressing in the topics around the Yemeni Civil war map. At the moment he reverts all my changes at the .svg map because he claims that Sabanews is a pro Houthi source. I'd ask you to stop using this source, since it creates many problems, or, alternatively prove that it's a neutral source. Also it would be nice if you could find other sources for the things you changed according to Sabanews, because he won't stop to edit-war otherwise. Thank you, Ermanarich (talk) 13:35, 21 April 2016 (UTC)
- @Ermanarich: hi alter ago
I apperceive all of them but 2 points. fisrtly Wikipedia Rules not emphasized to neutrality sources! even authenticated: “sometimes non-neutral sources are the best possible sources.” The second, fundamentally this user is a POV-pusher that all his edits confirm this matter & bargaining with him is idle job because he not retreats from his wrong comments. Nevertheless; i agree with your plea but sure conditions not be changed & will be brought another excuses. K!lluminati (talk) 15:53, 24 April 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. Can you please update the Yemen civil war map? Zinjibar, Ja'ar and 'Azzan (it's the large grey dot near Habban) are now under Yemen government's control. - In the border. Have you got a template du represent it. Also, there are two Boqa in Yemen ? --Panam2014 (talk) 09:06, 18 October 2016 (UTC)
- @Panam2014: this brigade (101 mechanized brigade) located inside of Buga area/town but it's exact position is unclear & seems conflict is still on going there because hadi forces beseiged Houthi troops in 101 brigade & main bazaar in Buga is in dominance of Houthis. in Sa'dah Governorate there is one Buga but the dictates are different (Buga, Boqe'e, Boga, ...) K!lluminati (talk) 13:04, 18 October 2016 (UTC)

Arhab
[edit]Hi I suggest you to discuss before edit the module. The source said that the district has been contested and the icon "80x80-red-lime-anim.gif" said that there are a mixed control in the region, and is used if a camp controls 1/5 of the district, 1/3, 1/2 or even 2/3 or 3/4. --Panam2014 (talk) 12:51, 3 December 2016 (UTC)
- Or we should relocate Arhab district ? Arhab is not a city and the idem doesn't represent a city or a center but the entire Arhab district. What do you think ? Regards. --Panam2014 (talk) 12:58, 3 December 2016 (UTC)
- @Panam2014: Hello.
- Basically source didn't say of seize or contest in Arhab. look again to the source text: “Hadi government and popular resistance forces seized al Houthi-Saleh territory in Arhab area, Nihm district, northeast of Sana’a city” means area that located between Arhab & Nihm district & then continued for more transparency: “Hadi government forces seized Mount Babin (and Mount Yam)”
- Well! that's bench. Hadi forces only have captured babin & yam mounts not more.
- But in "Arhab" case should say Arhab is one of Sana'a districts and has a center like them. attention to pictures 1, 2 & 3. Hindwan as center of Arhab which is base of Houthi/Saleh forces. in fiq.3 shown probable place of Babin mount. it should be noted that Arhab positioned as a city in map nor as a symbol of the district. just like all template civil war maps. K!lluminati (talk) 14:02, 3 December 2016 (UTC)

I'm sorry, I did not read well. And if not, in Yemen, there is no city named Arhab but on the map the icon of Arhab represents the city located in the center of the district? Do you know his name? Friendly. --Panam2014 (talk) 15:03, 3 December 2016 (UTC)
- @Pannam2014 and Panam2014: hi, no problem. exactly, in Sana'a governorate there isn't any city namely «Arhab» & only a one district with this title be at there.
- but this news “http://www.criticalthreats.org/gulf-aden-security-review/gulf-aden-security-review-december-5-2016” invoked to 3 links (1), (2) & (3).
- About “Alab & Baqim” according to source cited, hence: [link] should to pointed out in source text said: “Hadi & Southern forces seized Alab border crossing & advanced in Baqim district and involved with Houthi forces in Mandabe mountains.” in source mentioned no thing about seizure of Baqim city and hadi forces away KMs from center of Baqim. like "Arhab" matter, issue outlined as generally & edit undone accurately.
- About “Buqa” due to source detailes. basically no refer to Buqa city and only said conflicts countinue in axis of Buqa front. specifically from 25 November onward not seen any movement & mobility in Buqa front and the situation is the same as previous state without slightest change.
- About “Midi” Criticalthreats said: “Al Houthi-Saleh forces retreated from the contested battlefront of Midi city.” pay attension to “battlefront” word and no means to whole city. per accord to [link] spoken: “a group of 90 Houthi forces (not all of them) retreated from Midi” that doesn't mean to liberation of “Midi” because large number of Houthi forces present at there still.
- Important: I want to point out you as sincere and friendly. first, EN-lanqueges sources (like criticalthreats.org) about exact following up & scrutiny of developments trend (especially for Yemen) not so authoritative & credible because they cited from Arabic local sources & reflect issues as knock general or sweeping generalizations while events occur partially and minor... (understand what i mean?). second, accurate local sources are in arabic and in order to realize news text you forced to be fluent in Arabic lanquege. accordingly you must knowing arabic or otherwise for prevention of doing wrong edit, consult & getting guidance from aware person before.
- Anyway, your edit in module must be reclaim. K!lluminati (talk) 16:49, 6 December 2016 (UTC)
- Hi. So, you say that the source named "globalthreat" translates dispatches into Arabic but it commits translation errors. So I let you correct my mistakes and I trust you in good faith. No problem for me. Regards. --Panam2014 (talk) 19:47, 6 December 2016 (UTC)
- I dont say they committed wrong in translation but the point is that they generalize & extend issues and advances in quote of News. however, these matters are journalism rules and headline press techniques in fact.
- Thanks for having trust to me. K!lluminati (talk) 12:33, 8 December 2016 (UTC)

- @Jon Kolbert: Hello.
- The file raised in Template:Yemeni Civil War detailed map, if you look at the symbol of Balhaf Port carefully it's visible.
- So seems proposed deletion charge due to orphaned or foreseeable using is not correct.
- Regards. K!lluminati (talk) 22:19, 12 August 2017 (UTC)
- @K!LLuminati: The file being used is "Anchor pictogram blue.svg", it seems as if the PNG file has been superseded. Cheers, Jon Kolbert (talk) 22:36, 12 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Jon Kolbert: Now, however, what to do to fix that ? K!lluminati (talk) 23:38, 12 August 2017 (UTC)
- There's no need to fix anything because there is no problem. SVG files are generally superior to PNG files, so it makes sense the new file is being used in place of the PNG. Jon Kolbert (talk) 00:32, 13 August 2017 (UTC)
