Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited William Brereton (courtier), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Thomas Wyatt. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Recent edit reversion

[edit]

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 15:47, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Brereton family moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Brereton family. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it has no sources. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. BoyTheKingCanDance (talk) 11:49, 3 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There are not supposed to be sources. It's simply a list of people who are related and it's of use to people reading histories of individuals within the family to see who else the individual is related to. I have made a new page as the previous was just dumped into a draft. This page (below) doesn't have sources either (and it's errouneous as not all the people listed there are from the same family) yet that hasn't been challenged.

Content removed from articles

[edit]

Hi JuliusJasper. Thanks for your recent edits. In a couple of them, Hugh Dacre, 4th Baron Dacre‎ and Inglewood Forest‎, the edits removed material that appears to be relevant and useful. The Inglewood Forest one introduced a table of locations that needs the introduction for it to make sense. It could perhaps be expanded slightly to say what the table achieves, for example it helps delimit the area of the forest. The Dacre one explained the context for “Hugh may have been implicated in his predecessor's death”. In both cases, the edit summary did not give a rationale for the deletion, so I’ve reinstated the text. If you believe it should be removed, please discuss the rationale on each of the talk pages. Thanks, Northernhenge (talk) 22:55, 4 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi JuliusJasper. Thanks for your further edit to Hugh Dacre, 4th Baron Dacre. The material you deleted is supported by the given source. The link sometimes seems to be down, but it’s in the web archive at haryngton-sir-nicholas-1344-1404. I’ve reinstated the text. I’ll put a comment on the article’s talk page, which is a better place to discuss the change. Thanks --Northernhenge (talk) 21:22, 10 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
