Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! [edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from Ayuli Jemide. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Thank you. TheBirdsShedTears (talk) 11:14, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Ayuli Jemide, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. TheBirdsShedTears (talk) 13:16, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
Hello BirdsShed, Thank you for the welcome message and also your observations. You sent me a message and twice reverted my template removal after i had worked on the issues stated. another issue came up which has to do with having a close connection. I have no connection and have never even met this person before. How then can I ensure that tag doesn't come up. I have also updated and put enough citations that can be verified and are not mainly tabloid based for other independent credible sources Jude347 (talk) 14:17, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
It's sad how older editors prey in such a manner. You put a tag for citation and after I deleted, you mentioned it and I left it and kept working at I proving the article.the other editor who didn't even make an attempt to improve the article or give a suggestion just out the deletion tag. As per Wikipedia standards, deletion is the last option and I daresay the page has notability and is worth a Wikipedia article. This amounts to some sort of bullying when the article is up to standard even if not yet perfect Jude347 (talk) 13:00, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Jude347, please refer to how to disclose paid ending guide and WP:NPA for future reference. TheBirdsShedTears (talk) 19:10, 4 November 2020 (UTC)
The article Ayuli Jemide has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails WP:GNG
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Alexandermcnabb (talk) 09:32, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
I have taken note of your concerns and the page is being improved by the day as I speak. I have added more citations as this person is a very prominent member of society who I have never met or have any affiliation to. A revision has been made and you could also please help me to improve the page if you can which I would really appreciate, rather than tear down sincere efforts by requesting for deletion at the first ask. Thank you for your input and I appreciate. Jude347 (talk) 09:51, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
Nomination of Ayuli Jemide for deletion
[edit]A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Ayuli Jemide is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ayuli Jemide until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Alexandermcnabb (talk) 11:45, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
- According to Wikipedia guidelines it can be removed and should not be put back after removal. The article is being improved as we speak. Jude347 (talk) 11:54, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
- No, you are mistaken. Every time you removed the AfD template, you must surely have seen the text stating it must not be removed. The WP:PROD template may be removed (and you did). Once it is removed, the next step is Articles for deletion, where the article is supposed to be discussed by the community. You have already received a link to the discussion, but since apparently you have not noticed it, I repeat it here: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ayuli Jemide. [edit]Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Ayuli Jemide. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. TheBirdsShedTears (talk) 12:32, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to remove Articles for deletion notices or comments from articles and Articles for deletion pages, as you did at Ayuli Jemide, you may be blocked from editing. TheBirdsShedTears (talk) 12:44, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove an Articles for deletion notice or a comment from an AfD discussion. EMachine03 (talk) 13:03, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:AYULI JEMIDE.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:AYULI JEMIDE.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://www.detailsolicitors.com/new-governments-and-what-next/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Jude347. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Bishonen | tålk 18:08, 4 November 2020 (UTC)
- Hello I have no relation whatsoever to the person. Never met or seen him in person before. And btw, apart from the first day I haven't removed any notice for deletion. Jude347 (talk) 18:11, 4 November 2020 (UTC)
- "The first day" of what? You removed the PROD, which you are allowed to do. Then you edit warred with several users to also remove the Articles for deletion template, which the text clearly states you are not allowed to do.[1][2][3]. That is disruptive editing. Since you say you have no relation whatever to the person, could you please explain your extreme interest in him? You created the article, you removed the PROD, and you repeatedly removed the AfD template. I hope you read my text above all the way through: if you have been paid to create the article, you are obliged to say so by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use, see Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure. (Paid editing would indeed not require meeting the person, which is the reason I suggest it.) Bishonen | tålk 18:26, 4 November 2020 (UTC).
