DKY nomination
[edit]Hi Jsobe, your DKY nomination needs to have a bolded link to the article title - see Wikipedia:Did_you_know#The_hook for details of the formatting required. It would also be at least unusual to include a citation, so you should probably remove that. I suggest
- ... that the inner core may rotate at a different speed relative to the rest of Earth due to torque caused by Earth’s geodynamo and the solidification of the core?
It's been a while since I last nominated anything for DYK, so I won't get involved in the review process. Good luck, Mikenorton (talk) 10:48, 19 March 2019 (UTC)
Hi Mikenorton, I fixed the hook so that it formatted correctly. Thanks for the input and comment! Jsobe (talk) 09:21, 20 March 2019 (UTC)
- Your're very welcome. This topic is entirely new to me - thanks for the article. Mikenorton (talk) 11:18, 20 March 2019 (UTC)

DYK for Inner core super-rotation
[edit]On 7 April 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Inner core super-rotation, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the inner core may rotate a bit faster than the rest of the Earth due to torque caused by Earth's geodynamo and the solidification of the core? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Inner core super-rotation. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Inner core super-rotation), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
