Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Randburg, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Blairgowrie, Northgate Mall and Ferndale High School (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

A tag has been placed on File:LunguEdgarWatchingElectionsResults20150124.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. President Lungu's image

[edit]

Hi. I read your comment on the deleted image. You stated that the image was taken by his son, Salim "and circulated without being copyrighted". May I ask how do you know this? We need evidence for this in order to verify that the image is indeed freely licensed. Is it possible for you to get in touch with his son and ask if he's willing to release the image on a free license such as the Creative Commons? This would mean that anyone will be able to use the image for both commercial and derivative works. He could also consider uploading it on flickr.com and if he agrees, i can then assist in guiding you further on the licensing. You may leave your response hereunder. Ali Fazal (talk) 19:17, 25 January 2015 (UTC) Hi, I'm in contact with the campaign staff who have allowed me to use the images from the Facebook page ("Hon. Edgar Changwa Lungu"). Would proof of my conversation with the main publicity person suffice?Jsikombe (talk) 09:38, 26 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article List of Zambian presidents and their deputies has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Redundant WP:CFORK. Duplicates information already at President of Zambia

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The C of E God Save the Queen!
