Speedy deletion nomination of Jeff Wyler
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Jeff Wyler requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. jd22292 (Jalen D. Help me!
[edit]{{help me}}
Please help me with...speedy deletion contest. I have been working on a page called Jeff Wyler that has been marked for speedy deletion. I got the page started-only the title and then due to unforeseen circumstances, had to log out immediately and go do something else. Now I am back working on the page. I do not see the place where I can contest speedy deletion. Also, I am trying to cite any and every piece of information I have put in there and do this thing the right way. I have many many citations to add that I had to go ahead and upload to Wiki in order to start getting them seated. I am afraid to be seen as "marketing" and want to make sure the page is neutral and will not be deleted. I need guidance more than anything on how the page is, etc. I have gone through the wiki adventure and read all guidelines. I think I am on the right path but I am a bit discouraged.

- The article you wrote contained only a wikilink to itself, with no other content. Articles with no content whatsoever are deleted under the speedy deletion criteria WP:A1 or WP:A3, which is what happened here - it was deleted about 90 minutes later. You recreated the article today and have added content, so this seems to be resolved - it won't be deleted again for being empty. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 17:18, 20 November 2017 (UTC)
Thanks Ivanvactor. What do you recommend I do after I finish making edits?Jrayewrites (talk) 19:29, 20 November 2017 (UTC)jraywwrites
- That's a good question, actually, I had to look into it. Since your article is new it will automatically go into the new pages patrol queue, which is very backlogged, but eventually an experienced editor will review and "patrol" the article for any issues that need to be corrected immediately. If you'd like to request a more thorough review of your article, you could post at the biographies of living persons noticeboard where there are editors more experienced in biographies that can give you advice. I'd say you're off to a decent start, but you might want to try some formatting in your article: have a look at MOS:LAYOUT for some reading on where you might want to start, or just have a look at how other articles are formatted (you can use the "random article" link in the list to the left, if you're not using the mobile version of Wikipedia). Thanks for contributing! Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 19:57, 20 November 2017 (UTC)
Thanks. I will keep those things in mind and follow your advice.Jrayewrites (talk) 00:00, 21 November 2017 (UTC)Jrayewrites
Please help me with...a notice I received. It said the "the name of a page I am working on" was connected to Wikidata item #... which contains data relevant to the topic. When I click on the alert there is only a bunch of blank spaces where it seems information should be.Jrayewrites (talk) 22:29, 21 November 2017 (UTC)Jrayewrites
