If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Elliott Jones(football coach). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Elliott Jones. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Elliott Jones – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Breawycker (talk to me!) 01:43, 10 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there! It looks like you are trying to request that the page Elliott Jones be moved to Elliott Jones (football coach) by pasting a move request into the article. I have reverted your changes because you didn't put the request in the right place and made a bit of a mess of the article, but don't worry, that's what page histories are for. Two things:

  1. A move request should be made on the article's talk page, not on the article itself. From the article, along the top you'll see a tab called "Talk", which will link you to the talk page. You can also click on Talk:Elliott Jones for a quick link. Then, click "New section", fill in a header for your section and make your request. Someone will be along shortly to evaluate the request.
  2. It seems that you are trying to add this person's profession to the article title, but I don't understand why. Normally a person's name is fine as an article title, unless there are several people with the same name, in which case we disambiguate by adding some unique qualifier to the title, like (football coach) or (American poet) or (physicist). It doesn't seem to be necessary here, so I'm not sure why you're doing it.

If you need more help, you can use the {{helpme}} template to ask a question, and someone will answer as soon as possible. Hope you enjoy editing Wikipedia. Ivanvector (talk) 02:20, 10 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Elliott Jones. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles, nor are such pages a forum. Thank you. Breawycker (talk to me!) 03:25, 10 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
