Wondering where I could get references
Hello Josve05a, Thank you for reviewing my sandbox. I was wondering where I could get references for a article about where a road starts and ends. Do you think I should use Google Maps? Any suggestions would be great
Thank you for helping, Brmedia 00:17, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
- @Brmedia: If you want references about where the road starts/stops Google Maps is a good place. But, I didn't decline the sandbox to become an article because it didn't have any references (even if it doesn't) but for the reaseon that the article does not display why it is notable to have it's own article on Wikipedia. (Think if all roads had it's own article.) So please find some references (in media/books etc.) to prove why it is notable. #wikipedia-en-help connect (just press connect) is great at helping with these kinds of stuff. (t) Josve05a (c) 00:22, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you! Brmedia 00:25, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
- Here is information I think could verify the sandbox::
mockingbirdstation.com is the website of the first transit mall in texas, with connections to Dallas Area Rapid Transit rail, based off of mockingbird ln. Mockingbird connects two principal freeways (and is a principal road through cntrl. dallas itself) through cntrl dallas, US 75 Central and the Dallas North Tollway, the first tollway to use automatic toll recognition. (you could search on google maps "mockingbird ln" for the info) Thanks for considering, Brmedia 02:44, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
Wikipedia email (copied from my email)
Why did you reject the page I created on St James's Church, Islington? As far as I can tell you seem to be suggesting that it should contain more references, but I would have thought that 10+ good references would be ample to get a page going. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alternativecarpark (talk • contribs) 2 February 2014 12:33 (UTC)
This is regarding Draft:St James's Church, Islington.
- Hello Alternativecarpark,
- It looks like pressed Submit your draft when you are ready for it to be reviewed!, when showing a preview of the article before pressing Save page, meaning that you submitted a blank article. That is why I declied the submission. Please write it again, and remember to save the article (press Save page), before re-submiting the article. (t) Josve05a (c) 14:25, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
A question regarding another user's CV
You had Nissip's article about the Saint Anne Parish Church in Taguig deleted two days ago on account of CV, since then they have resubmitted the article. However they submitted it directly into Wikipedia Mainspace. A quick lookover does not seem to yield any CVs but since it is also possible they copy-pasted the article directly (because the afc tag is still present). I ask that you look at it again here to be absolutely certain. hewhoamareismyself 18:04, 4 June 2014 (UTC)
- @Hewhoamareismyself: I have looked over the article using different tools, and I can't find any cv in it at this moment. That's good. Thanks for letting me know of this article! (t) Josve05a (c) 18:10, 4 June 2014 (UTC)
Pages with misplaced expand lang tag
I posted a list of pages with misplace expand lang tag at User:Magioladitis/Sandbox. You may want to help on moving/removing them. It is part of the talk pages cleanup. -- Magioladitis (talk) 15:07, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
- That is a lot of pages, I'll get right on it. (t) Josve05a (c) 18:18, 13 June 2014 (UTC)

- Hey everyone, it's rare these small sections come along but there is a bit of interesting news to get across which one line under 'noteworthy stuff' won't be the best for. For the next 6 summaries, they will be translatable at Wikidata. This is an interesting idea which was first proposed on the delivery page and on Wikidata-l by Base. This is purely a trial and if you all want the summaries to remain translatable, please participate! You can view the first translated summary (hopefully) here! Also sorry for this one being late :)

Draft page "Group for the Environment, Renewable Energy and Solidarity"
Hello Josve05a,
I am asking for your advice to improve the page "Group for the Environment, Renewable Energy and Solidarity". If I understood well, you rejected the page because it had no reliable sources. I inserted two press reliable sources. I don't want to insert too many because I'm afraid it would be too "advertizing". I also erased the "awards" part. I think now the page is neutral and simplified. Would you mind taking a look at it and telling me if I can submit it for validation ? Thank you very much in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by GERES (talk • contribs) 09:57, 24 June 2014 (UTC)
I got a legal threat an you didn't.
Your user and talk pages have been horrible lately. Where is all the fun-filled vandalism? The only reason I have any interest in associating with you is because of the vandalism. :) Just the other day, Magioladitis said, "I really hate that idiot bastard". I'm sure he was talking about you and not the vandal that was the subject of our conversation. Well, I finally got some type of vandalism on my pages, a legal threat. So there. Bgwhite (talk) 20:47, 26 June 2014 (UTC)
- Have you checked out this Bgwhite. I got a legat threat all back in 2013. It's old news! It's not my fault your so slow. :P (t) Josve05a (c) 21:13, 26 June 2014 (UTC)
- This isn't my first legal threat, but it was worth noting because I finally got something. I'm really jealous with you hording all the fun for yourself. Update While saving the previous sentences, I got an edit conflict. Egads, I can't enjoy my time in the vandal sun when you go ahead and get a vandal saying hi. You don't get a vandal for months, but get one right after my proud moment. You sir, are blessed. The vandal gods are watching out for you. Life is not fair. Bgwhite (talk) 21:48, 26 June 2014 (UTC)

AfC Backlog Drive
Hi Josve05a, I was wondering what your thoughts were on the upcoming closing of the drive. Specifically, Zach Vega is in silver medal position and yet his log page is still as red as it is green. What do you think should be done? BethNaught (talk) 18:51, 29 June 2014 (UTC)
- Hmm, I don't really have an opinion. Unless a consensus can be made within 5-10 days after the drive has been closed (on the drives talk page), I will (try to) close it as no consensus, and "let this one slide". (t) Josve05a (c) 03:50, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
Regarding your revert to WWE Battleground
Hey, would you mind giving articles such as WWE Battleground, Battleground (2014), etc. a once-over before you revert? Those pages have been hit hard by presumed spambots recently, and your revert (diff 614978763) left some of the vandalism from the presumed bots behind. -G.A.WILMBROKE [ USER / ALT / TALK / CONTRIBS ] 06:16, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
- Sure, thanks! I was unaware of the 'spambot-thing', I will try to check more closely before I revert vandalism, to see if there is anymore in the article. Again, thanks! (t) Josve05a (c) 06:20, 30 June 2014 (UTC)

WikiCup 2014 June newsletter
After an extremely close race, Round 3 is over. 244 points secured a place in Round 4, which is comparable to previous years- 321 was required in 2013, while 243 points were needed in 2012. Pool C's Godot13 (submissions) was the round's highest scorer, mostly due to a 32 featured pictures, including both scans and photographs. Also from Pool C, Casliber (submissions) finished second overall, claiming three featured articles, including the high-importance Grus (constellation). Third place was Pool B's , whose contributions included featured articles Russian battleship Poltava (1894) and Russian battleship Peresvet. Pool C saw the highest number of participants advance, with six out of eight making it to the next round.
The round saw this year's first featured portal, with Sven Manguard (submissions) taking Portal:Literature to featured status. The round also saw the first good topic points, thanks to 12george1 (submissions) and the 2013 Atlantic hurricane season. This means that all content types have been claimed this year. Other contributions of note this round include a featured topic on Maya Angelou's autobiographies from Figureskatingfan (submissions), a good article on the noted Czech footballer Tomáš Rosický from Cloudz679 (submissions) and a now-featured video game screenshot, freely released due to the efforts of Sven Manguard (submissions).
The judges would like to remind participants to update submission pages promptly. This means that content can be checked, and allows those following the competition (including those participating) to keep track of scores effectively. This round has seen discussion about various aspects of the WikiCup's rules and procedures. Those interested in the competition can be assured that formal discussions about how next year's competition will work will be opened shortly, and all are welcome to voice their views then. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. If you want to help out with the WikiCup, please do your bit to help keep down the review backlogs! Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck!
