Portals
[edit]Hi,
I just want to know how to make a search to redirect a article or a portal.
Please let me know, I just created the Portal:Suggestions and want to make some exceptions to redirect when a new user is searching about suggestion to option that doesn't have any result when searching.
Thank you for reading,
i'll wait for your response.
- In the earlier reply I learned that to make a redirect you place #REDIRECT [[Name of target page]] on the page. Hope this helps some! -G.A.WILMBROKE [ USER / ALT / TALK / CONTRIBS ] 04:56, 22 April 2014 (UTC)
Hi. I've removed Deutsch from the language name in the template you added. If anything other than a straight English name for a language is in there, Google Translate won't pick up on the language. It also makes checking for an article at the appropriate Wikipedia easier - just click and then paste the title into the search box there. Peridon (talk) 18:04, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
- I see. I'd thought it made it easier, as the first two letters of the language's language name is typically the TLD for that language (ie. de.wikipedia.org, in this case.)
- The more you know, I suppose. Thanks. -G.A.WILMBROKE [ USER / ALT / TALK / CONTRIBS ] 18:08, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
Meryl Streep
[edit]Hi, I just wanted to correct the paragraph about the Meryl Streep lookalike because it was me, Andrea Joan Ellis and not Jacquie O'Sullivan as you quoted. I was a model with Lookalike model agency, as were the two other models - Elizabeth Taylor and Sophia Loren. Andrea J. Ellis (talk) 19:43, 29 May 2014 (UTC)
- Mind getting me the diff in question? If this is referring to something last night, I don't remember much about what happened while patrolling the recent changes. -G.A.WILMBROKE [ USER / ALT / TALK / CONTRIBS ] 19:45, 29 May 2014 (UTC)

- Please make sure it's cited (edit: and notable!) if you re-add it, I reverted it because it was uncited and looked like an attempt at humour. -G.A.WILMBROKE [ USER / ALT / TALK / CONTRIBS ] 05:42, 2 July 2014 (UTC), edited 05:46, 2 July 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Your dicdef PROD tag has been removed. Two of us did competing expansions/rewrites of the article; the other editor removed the tag. I'm out of break time now, but both versions include references documenting that it's a term that has been used, and has been discussed and not merely defined. José Manuel Pinto - Reply
[edit]Yes it was me with the obnoxious summary, I have been here for almost nine years and still I have not mastered that bit (not feeding the trolls), I apologize to you in particular and WP in general.
However, I also would like to see that nuisance of a "user" get a warning for a deliberate attack on the project (inflating stats in the infobox, YES it was vandalism, I have zero tolerance for vandalism, not excusing myself, just saying), I wish they let us good editors work in peace.
Sorry for any inconvenience, keep up the good work from Portugal --84.90.219.128 (talk) 05:49, 21 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
