how do I "wikify" this article?
(Jonjacksonthethird (talk) 17:07, 25 March 2011 (UTC))
- Please read WP:NOTMANUAL. I would suggest taking this article and placing it on a "how-to" website, such as http://www.wikihow.com/ or http://how-to.wikia.com, which are two popular wikis for the express purpose of 'how-to' articles such as yours. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not for manuals or 'how-to' articles, and people seeking such information will generally look at a more specific place for such information. Placing your article on one of those sites increases the chance that the information will be read by interested parties who are looking for that kind of article. - SudoGhost (talk) 19:30, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
Creation of LLC Online Based Companies
[edit]Hello Jonjacksonthethird, and welcome to Wikipedia! Before you get too far along with your articles, you should pause to review our Manual of Style. In particular, two things that cannot be used on encyclopedia pages are "I" (see MOS:FIRSTPERSON) and "you" (see MOS:YOU). Another very important page to read is No original research, because unfortunately, it appears the writing you are currently doing falls squarely into the "original research" category, which is why you see "proposed for deletion" tags popping up.
Please feel free to contact me on my talk page if you have any questions. Again, welcome! 28bytes (talk) 16:59, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Creation of LLC Online Based Companies has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://jamespchampspace.blogspot.com/.. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, fansite, or similar site (see 'Links to avoid', #11), then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 15:23, 19 March 2011 (UTC)
You were given a sound piece of advice, which you deleted: publish at Wikihow Do you disagree with that advice? I am not allowed to re-prod an article so, sadly. I must drag it through the AfD process - unless you save us the trouble by tagging the article with {{db-author}}. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:28, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
Your article
[edit]Hi Jonjacksonthethird. Thanks for the note. The main problem with the article is that it falls pretty squarely into the "how to do something" category, which is outside the scope of Wikipedia. I think some other editors have pointed you to WikiHow and some other outlets; that's probably your best bet. You are of course welcome to edit here too, but please keep in mind the long list of items on WP:What Wikipedia is not so that your hard work doesn't go to waste on an out-of-scope (and thus deleted) page. 28bytes (talk) 19:47, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
No Original Research

This I understand. I am not plagerizing at all. I have reliable sources and I have put everything in my own words. I have removed the word you so it's not written in the first person as well. If someone can edit this article and show me what a wikified version of it would look like that would be great. Thanks for everyones help thus far I just don't want to see an article I worked hard on that can help people learn. Also if anyone finds any first person speak I may have missed, please let me know so I can edit that. Thanks! (Jonjacksonthethird (talk) 17:10, 25 March 2011 (UTC))
- You have been told this before, many times. This is a 'how-to' article, which is not appropriate for Wikipedia. - SudoGhost (talk) 17:26, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
{helpme} No it's not a how to article! Why do you tell me that I have been told this many time before. This is about something that people write about in college. It's also an answer on how we can fix our broken economy....it's called creating wealth. Now I know that I am a nobody in the world of wikipedia but one thing I can tell you is that if you check my sources you will see it is not original research, it's not a how-to article, and also this is no longer an orphan page. I have other pages linked to it. Would changing the title make a difference? I could do that. As a matter of fact I will. Buy the book I have referenced and you will see that it is not a how to guide. Also read through the SEOpedia to check references with that. I did not plagerize or anything. I am advertising nothing. I have worked hard on this and I am asking that the proposed deletion tag be removed. Or someone make some edits to show me what wording I need to use. Not just tell me to read some guides on wikipedia...I have read other articles that have a similar writing style to mine. Why weren't they deleted? Why isn't there even a discussion about them being deleted? This is just the way I write. Like a teacher and the world are my students. If someone would be kind enough to rewrite a section and post it on this page to make it "wikified" that would be great. I'm a new member of this community and I feel all you guys want to do is shut me down...and for what? wanting to help someone??? (Jonjacksonthethird (talk) 21:41, 26 March 2011 (UTC))
- Why are you so desperate that it must be Wikipedia. What is your objection to putting it in wikiHow? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:06, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
The article How to Create a Business Online has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- This is clearly not an encyclopedic page. Wikipedia articles should not look like a "how-to" guide, an advice column, or a strategy guide. Please see WP:NOTHOWTO for more information.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
